I will give it a two just for the view of the harbor.Food was very bad and service was even worse. Ordered a kids cheeseburger that came out like beef jerky. We ordered a fish sandwich broiled and it came out so tough we could not even cut it with a knife. The manager took the sandwich back to the chef who could not explain why the fish sandwich was like a piece of shoe leather. We also had the Parmesan oysters which were very bad. Our first visit and we really enjoyed our lunch. We had the lobster bites appetizer which was delicious! I had the seafood combo. The fish fillet and the scallops were cooked perfectly, however the butterfly shrimp was over cooked. Hubby had the shrimp scampi over pasta and didn't like how over cooked the pasta was and most of the shrimp were not deveined which was a little off putting. They have a very diverse menu but not over whelming. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. We will definitely go back again. read more

Food was delicious and a gorgeous view. It was very loud in there - Everything echoed terribly. Oysters had some shell chips in it. Service was a bit slow. Requested a salad that never came. We went with another couple to Harborside last night and what a disappointment! We loved the old Harborside and enjoyed their early bird dinners and two for one wine. The meals were wonderful then.The only thing we can't complain about last night was the speed of service. That was fine. Their caesar salad was good, too. We all ordered off the early bird menu whose prices seemed reasonable. We saw a note about Happy Hour but no indication of what that meant and weren't told by the waitress. It said to visit the website. This I tried to do when we came home, and it took me 1/2 hour to find a blog to cover this. I THINK their drinks are half price during happy hour. When our bills came, we were charged for the full-price dinners, not the early bird. In questioning the waitress, she said she didn't know those items were on the early bird! She then went to see about making the bills right. It took another 20 minutes, and we did get the right price. However, we were told not to expect those size portions next time on the early bird as these were the full-price meals. The portions were adequate, and we were wondering through dinner what the full-size meals would be like. When we heard we had the full meals, let me tell you they were not worth the price. Early bird, yes, later dinner, no. At no time did we see the manager, and as we were leaving, he didn't even speak to us. Don't think we'll be back. read more

Mothers day @8:19pm the doors are locked. Time posted for closing is 9pm. All good businesses have a run over time meaning if 9 is posted you stop seating at 9 not 8. I hope you reconsider the structure of your restaurant as it is not up to par. read more

My coworkers have talked about this place for years I finally took the wife and and food was awful. There dressing and dips had no flavor tasted of straight vinegar. The raw oysters were ok. Everything else just tasted bad. We will not be returning. read more

Visited this restaurant with my sister. The food was excellent ( we had the prime rib). But I have to say what or I should say who made it fabulous was our server Sibol. She was friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to question what we were looking for and helped guide us. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and 2 thumbs up for Sibol. read more

I normally don't write bad reviews but I feel like I got robbed today with the check. Where do I start? The place itself is nice and the staff is friendly, which is the only reason I have 2 stars on here. Our beers were draft and tasted old as if the lines haven't been cleaned. We bought 3 beers, drank hardly any and were still charged. The house salad was underwhelming. Mostly lettuce, wilted, little toppings. The oysters were stringy and the smallest I've ever had albeit not in season, I'll give them that much. The crackers were also stale. My entree was cold. So cold. What a beautiful view at sunset! Make sure you ask to sit near the windows. I'm not a big seafood eater, but my husband is, so we've gone twice now. He's always been extremely happy with his food, but I've ordered the steak both times (the filet once and the sirloin once) and it was good, but not like omg good. We stopped here during a house hunting trip to Winter Haven. The atmosphere and water views were great. The service was slow, slow to have our orders taken, slower to get our food, and after we were finished, very slow to get the check and return it after payment. Tables around us were seated after, waited on first, faster food, etc. the food was OK, the description of the grouper sandwich was misleading, I ordered grilled, it came blackened. Not good. Ok so let me start by saying this place is beautiful it is set on a gorgeous lake and the remodel looks great. Now the bad, the noise level in the dining room is unbearable you are hardly able to converse with the person you are with let alone here yourself think. The prices are outrageous for the quality of food, I would expect fresh quality food for the price I paid however I was given what tasted no Better than frozen food! We were looking for a place where we could sit outside and have a view of a lake. We found it at Harborside. The have giant windows where you can sit inside and have a lake view but they also have a small patio outside with half a dozen tables overlooking the lake and the channel between it and the next lake over. We were surprised that there was a table available. The waitress was prompt and very friendly. We were there in time for the Early Bird Special and we both ordered the grilled Salmon. Prior I had the smoked salmon dip which came with toasted jalapeño bits (something different) and my friend had skewered shrimp. Both the appetizers and entrees were excellent. By the time we left we were the only ones on the patio. We wondered about this but the busser told us that when the sun went down the mosquitoes came out and had driven two tables inside the night before. If you are there in the daytime though, the patio is the place to be. read more

Had a horrible experience. We went a out as a party of 6, 3 adults and 3 children, and one of my daughters got her meal after the adults were finished eating and another one of my daughters never got her food. I asked to speak with a manager and she was very disrespectful and didn't take any kind of accountability for anything. After telling her that she was very unprofessional she told us that we needed to leave. We did so and had to get my daughter food somewhere else. The food was good, prices were what you would expect for a place like this. The service is great, our waitress Lexus was very nice and frequently checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. One of the best things about this place aside from the food is the view and location, right next to a canal connecting to another lake so you can sit outside and see the boats go by or watch them inside so that they don't drown out your conversation. All in all pretty good and a nice place to eat with friends or family. read more

I'm giving them three stars because of slow service (food took an hour after we ordered) and last night my meal was over cooked and they only took my wine off the bill?? I have to say I want to give them 5 stars because I have been there around 20 times but the last 4 times as recent as last Saturday our food has been coming out warm to the touch I have had to send bake my food three times I think they are cooking one dish at a time per table and keeping the ready food under poor warming conditions very unacceptable when you have a party of six sitting at a table and the only person's food that is hot is the last dish that was made I hope they can fix this problem because we enjoy this place read more

After waiting over 50 minutes for our food one of the entrees was incorrect. They corrected it by making us wait an additional 25 minutes for the replacement dish ($21) that was far too salty and not at all what was described. To remedy the situation they comped $4 off the check. We will not be returning. read more

We had a very interesting meal! We got to restaurant at dusk & sit outside. Great view, but the mosquitoes started attacking everyone. We moved inside, our waitress Gabriel worked very hard to get us moved.We ordered our food & the wait began, we have now been in the restaurant for over an 1:20 minutes with 2 small kids & no food other than appetizers. We had not complained to any stuff & the female owner walks up to our table in VERY UNPROFESSIONAL manner & starts telling us they were doing the best they could to get our food out, no apology!! They had a staff issue! She was a giant B in the way she handled it, as we all sit there somewhat shocked!! Gabriel felt bad as it was now obvious the Kitchen had lost our order. We got our food finally & eat. Gabriel did bring 3 ice creams for the kids for our inconvenience. The food & waiter deserves a higher rating, ownership & service does not even deserve a 1! The food is great!!! We had the absolute WORST waitress!!! If you get Olivia as your waitress just leave! She is horrible!!! Took 20 minutes for her to come to our table, another 30 minutes to get our drinks, drinks came out WRONG, told her they were incorrect she just said "oh" had to ask her to correct it she just brought out the missing ingredients for me to make my own drink, she didn't put all the food orders in, the table had to then wait for the kitchen to make the rest of the food in the meantime the food on the table was getting cold. She just handed the drinks and food to the first person at the table she didn't place the food in front of the corresponding people. There was more than enough room for her to hand every person their food or drinks! Also, she told us to stack the plates and hand them to her. Our dining experience for my father's birthday started with our hostess appearing to be "bothered" when we asked for a table instead of a booth. Sitting 5 people in a booth is uncomfortable. Our server was FANTASTIC! But the food was not. Our appetizers, Gator and Lobster were good. Therefore, we were really looking forward to our main entree's.....which were terrible. I ordered the shrimp 3 way platter. The grilled were edible, however the fried tasted like typical frozen that I could cook at home in the oven, nothing special. The worst were the crab-stuffed shrimp, which can only be described as rubber meets cardboard. Inedible, horrible, overcooked, no flavor and without seasoning. I'm guessing it'll be another 20 years before I give this one another shot. Next time, I'll go to Harry's, and just to let you know, even Red Lobster beats this place. read more

I hate to give Harborside two stars, but I can't help it. The location is amazing, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. It's kind of inexplicable to me, but the wait every time I've been (at least 5 times), has been at least 30-45 minutes. They are always busy. I must be in the extreme minority. However, although the staff is friendly, every time I've been, the service has been so SLOW. The last time I was there with my family, it took over 2 hours, and when the food came out, some of it was wrong and some was over cooked. I have to say that I don't eat sea food, so admittedly there are only like 3 things on the whole menu I can eat. But one family member ordered fish, and when it came out it was burned (why would you bother serving fish that was visibly burned), and it was the driest fish ever. She actually ate it, because we had been there for 2 hours and she was starving. The manager actually came and asked if everything was ok and when she found out she apologized and told us we should have sent it back- we knew we should have. But it had taken so long to get the food in the first place, we didn't have time to have them make it again. Honestly, try it! Maybe you'll love it. I have just never had a good experience there. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants, especially for lunch. It is right on a sweet lake, and many of the tables overlook the beautiful peaceful scenery. There are also tables outside, for a lovely experiences watching boats come and go. You could even pull up in your boat to one of the restaurant's docks. My favorite meal usually includes salmon with aioli sauce and often dessert of cheesecake. Excellent! The service is always pleasant, the decor looks like a fairly recent renovation, maybe in the last 3 years. The whole space but especially the bar area is very nicely done. Booths are comfortable. Recently my family and friends had Thanksgiving dinner there, our efficient friendly server was Lexus T. She earns excellent marks for efficiency and friendliness. Sometimes, in any restaurant, the service makes the difference between a good or mediocre dining experience. I recommend this restaurant. read more
