We started our daughter at Chesterbrook Academy shortly after she turned two. Before that, she had…read moreonly been cared for by family, so sending her to school was a huge adjustment not only for her, but for us as parents too. From the very beginning, Ms. Adrienne, Principal Ms. Kerry, and the entire staff were incredibly patient, welcoming, and understanding. They knew how anxious we were about sending our little girl to school for the first time. Anytime we sent a message or had a question, they responded quickly and reassured us. Receiving daily pictures also helped us feel connected and gave us peace of mind throughout the day. It took our daughter several months to become comfortable, but her teachers never rushed her. They worked with her patiently, showed her kindness, and helped her adjust at her own pace. Then one day, everything changed....she began loving school! Now she asks to go every day and is excited to play with her friends. If you are a parent who is nervous or anxious about sending your little one to childcare, we highly recommend Chesterbrook Academy. The staff is accommodating, caring, welcoming, and always willing to answer questions. They truly made what could have been a very difficult transition into such a positive experience for our entire family. Choosing Chesterbrook Academy has been one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter. We are so grateful for Ms. Adrienne, Ms. Kerry, and all of the wonderful teachers and staff. Our daughter will happily remain part of the Chesterbrook family until she heads off to kindergarten!

The level of detail and care they put into her and the curriculum is impressive. She goes in and comes home with a smile on her face, enriched from her day. I absolutely love the artwork they send home with her too, it's a really nice personal touch and will save forever. We are so thankful and appreciative for the opportunity for our daughter to be apart of such a wonderful place and special thanks to all her teachers, Ms. Emily, Ms. Theda, Ms. Tina and Ms. Nadia and everyone else at Chesterbrook.

I was also looking for information about summer camp. I was scheduled for an in person appt after filling out the requested information. When I showed up, the women explained to me that summer camp was full and that drop in service was only available through people's employers. Her words were "I can't really explain it." I guess their website cannot either. Horribly disappointed as I took time away from my job and family to come to this "interview" in the middle of a weekday.

She's a very friendly sweet 5 yr old (as reported by her school teachers) so when I brought up the abuse to Tammy, I was told If I decided to keep her there they'd look into the abuse. (obviously a "motivated" response not based on improving the environment in her class with Connie.) The truth is that if they knew anything about child development they wouldn't have such a wide age range of kids in the same class. I'm not taking the word of my daughter. My husband and I both noticed the kids bullying our daughter on the play ground. In one instance that our daughter was crying Connie sat her out of the game and not the boy that hit her in the face as he jerked the ball away from her. My daughter was even told by her teacher not to tell me when she was pushed down or treated meanly. That she could only tell a teacher. It took months for me to get my daughter to tell me why she "didn't want to go to tutor time" or "can I please go to a new tutor time?" The last thing is there is no structure in the after school program. Tammy said it was designed that way because of the age differences of the children. So, the children basically get into groups and entertain themselves which creates a great opportunity for bullying behavior. Im not sure all the teachers are like this but I wouldn't recommend you do the after school program with Connie.
