The tent campsites are TINY and very close to each other. This wouldn't be so bad if your group has two side by side, but if not, beware. When we questioned the camp host about the lot sizes she snapped at us about how they were the biggest around. That is a lie, but whatever. The grounds keeper was also very rude and creepy. Anyway, the site beside us was full of frat boys who were drinking heavily through the night. Falling out of their cars, puking everywhere, screaming. I checked on them a few times and they were nice enough but continued to play music into the early hours of the morning disturbing my family and the family next to us. People use hipcamp to avoid the crowds. This was like a typical Texas state park. Nothing special besides the river. The hiking was terrible. And the lots are SMALL. We left an honest and fair review on the hipcamp website and the owner Tony responded with the most hateful retort, haha. Saying that his ranch was worth $5million dollars and our measly $100 rental didn't deserve a bigger site or space. That the $100 wouldn't even pay for his gas. He caters to the ones who rent out the acre lots, not weekend campers. Very unprofessional. So I'm sure for some this place will be fine, but management is rude and the lots are trash. We will never go back and would not recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing camping trip. This is stripmall camping on a pretty spot.

So we showed up today a casual 10 minutes late. I'm always stressed about being late and they were very cool with it which immediately relaxed me. I think the marina itself could use more signage as we didn't see where to go to check in and had to be directed by someone else on the dock. We find our way, one of the employees said she was going to check that our bobcat was working (really appreciate that, always want to know it works) and we checked in inside. Without prompting, they recommend some cool areas of the lake to check out. This was excellent and I loved it. Zach was driving, so I was thriving, and they had wine on sale for 20% off, so they twisted my arm and I ended up with some delicious, cheap, plastic, single-serving bottles of wine. They were very patient with my nerves as we got loaded onto the boat and I tried not to lose all of my items. I really misinterpreted the size of the boat and, as I always do, overpacked. We did not need towels, we did not really need ... anything .... except maybe the wine. They gave us a great overview of how to steer the bobcat, cuz it was a little different than what we are used to with big boy boats, and we were off! We had a great time, we made it back alive, we signed a paper saying we were alive and had returned their bobcat, and they surprised us by saying bobcat rentals no longer have to pay for gas. We did not argue and hippity hopped it out of there. They made it so easy, the price is reasonable, they seem to have pretty open availability, and you can rent by the 1/2 hour. I can see us having a date night where we grab some dinner at Deadfish and then take a bobcat out for an hour to watch the sunset from the lake. This is my life now? No complaints.

the worst experience I've had with any business since I moved to Granbury in 2016. I needed leak…read morerepairs on an older boat and I was able to trouble shoot the issue and diagnose the possible repair needed. I was given a quote for the repairs and trusted they would be professional and honest. They misdiagnosed the repairs needed. I went ahead and authorized the work based on what I was told. Once the engine was removed the repairs needed were exactly what I predicted. The repair was a gasket and was less work than the stern drive bolts I was told were rusted out and would need to be replaced. I did not request another quote based on this, my bad. I assumed they would adjust the cost accordingly. After the work was finished I asked if they confirmed the leak was fixed. I was told no they had not because of problems with their test tank. I told them I would not pay for any repairs unless they could confirm it was not leaking anymore. At that time I was told I could do my own test in the lake. I stated that was not happening and they needed to do the necessary test, not me. The GM implied I would have to pay extra for them to take the boat to the lake because it was a two man job and time is money. I refused and asked to speak to the owner. They agreed that they would not charge extra for this test. When they confirmed the leak was fixed I went to pick up the boat. I believed the tank test would have been included in the quote I was given originally, however they had a tank test itemized on the Bill which was separate from the leak repair cost and the final Bill equaled the quote price plus almost exactly the cost of the so called tank test, how convenient was that. I chose not to argue the point and just wanted to get out of there. The bad experience wasn't over yet. when I arrived home and started looking at my boat I discovered it was completely filthy with grease all over the interior seats and areas where they had climbed in and out of the boat. I spent Two hours cleaning the vinyl and fiberglass that was smeared with grease. I was disgusted and angry. The worst service ever. Total disrespect of the boat and unprofessional leaving it to be picked up in that condition. I recommend you Drive far as you have to for your boat service it will be worth it in the end.

Our first visit to this Marina and these people are some of the friendliest you will meet. The…read morepark attendant was helpful in telling us about the facility (boat launch, beach, camping facilities etc. we arrived around 8pm to check the boat out after doing some maintenance but still wanted to go on the lake for a couple of hours. with all the recent flooding they will have to repair the courtesy dock but fortunately the beach is not rocky so you can beach your boat there until the dock is finished. We did not go to the fishing pier but want to check it out soon. I did talk to a lady on the phone there and she was helpful in telling us the amenities.
