In a few simple words, THIS PLACE IS FREAKING AWESOME. We went around 7PM on a Sunday evening and were surprised at home busy the park actually was. Literally hundreds of people in the playground area. There's also a skateboarding park which was fun and entertaining to watch. They had two separate ice-cream trucks which was refreshing. There's also a pier walking out into the ocean which was really nice. There's a huge open green field, lots of picnic tables in the shade, and just so many awesome families enjoying being outside on the beach. This was definitely a highlight of our vacation - the location is just to die for and you get to enjoy the beautiful ocean and the breeze while your kiddos run around the playground. It can't be beat! :)

I told the owner and the relative who seems to be assistant owner / manager, and they consoled me at first. The director didn't give me the space I asked before I decided to stay or not, when she made a decision for me. I continued to share my experience because I can't recommend this place to new comers, and still hadn't received an apology. Another director came into my messages trying to pathologized me for CRYING, and another person who runs the business went onto my Facebook posts and laughed at them. Very unprofessional. If you are not friends with the people in this community, do not bother trying to join it. Unfortunately since these are the same people who work at Harbor's Playhouse, I'm not sure it's any better. Btw, reading my update afterwards. I need to mention the miscommunication of the director led the person who helped me singing and complimented for the improvements I made to laugh at me in front of everyone. This could have been avoided with professionalism and better communication. Unfortunately things just got worse from there! Director messaging me until 2am. Another telling me to get help. None actually listening to the feedback I'm trying to provide. Sadly they want to guilt me over my honest opinion of a small business. Sorry, I'm not going to pretend to have had a better experience. In fact, being ma and pop... you'd expect better hospitality PS. The other reviews are from locals/people who know those who are already working there.

Adaptive Reuse?! I am so impressed by the reuse of this space from an old concrete production plant…read more(?) to a music venue. The design of the space is noteworthy. First there are two stages. The smaller stage is housed within an old building that looks like a farm shed. The use of industrial materials that don't stray from the historical use and feel of the space is quite beautiful. Corrugated sheet metal is seen throughout the design and even within the restrooms to form stalls. Industrial ceiling fans keep the space cool along with garage door openings flanking 2 sides. There is an elevated platform along the back with small tables which is the VIP section. Picnic tables sit in front of the VIP section for a small section of seating. The liquor selection is limited, but the bartenders were friendly and willing to mix up what they could with the limitations. I had the pleasure of seeing one show here while in CC. I've been told that it is a great space to see larger acts especially when they perform at the bigger stage outside. All in all, this is a very hip space to see music. 5 stars is for adaptive reuse of a space CC, Texas. Very cool!

When I go though, I usually get dropped off by someone else because it's downtown and their parking is limited if it's a packed show. Student veterans where targeted and harassed by…read moreuniversity staff and it took 5 yrs and multiple congressional inquiries to force school management to address the problems, then management tried to blame student veterans for there incompetince. University leadership is as effective as a broken condom. In 3 yrs there where multiple student suicides and university leadership tried to pretend the situations never happed even when students expressed concern. Several of the math and science professors can't speak English and they don't teach critical thinking, simply put most professors have 0 teaching ability. The university will fire a teacher and then blame the students for the poor performance in grades. Why pay a university like TAMUCC to teach yourself? TAMUCC will charge you for everything under the sun like California taxation. If you are a veteran find another university for your benefits.

We are AMC Stubs members and were next in line to pay cash, (normally we order all online) just had to get an extra ticket and some popcorn; and he allowed line cuts. Even when it was brought to his attention and obvious by everyone that we were clearly next. This is out of character for this location, as a whole we receive good service. I hope by leaving this review that this will not happen again to any patrons. If it doesn't get resolved I will contact higher up the chain.
