I booked two "paint your pet" classes. What a disappointment. Absolutely not as advertised…read more There was no step by step instruction. The assistance was a joke. The staff member traced my photo and it was fair. My friends dog photo was sketched by the staff member and it measured about 4x3 inches on a 16x20 inch canvas. The sketch was a joke. We had 4 photos, if the staff was unable to sketch the chosen photo, admit it. It was horrible. It looked like a poor tracing of the photo. I'm adding a cropped photo of the canvas. Waste of money and waste of time. We had to wait for help and paint. Just to be clear there were only a total of 3 people, plus 2 walk-ins.

I loved coming here but unfortunately their director was unprofessional in communicating directives…read morewhich resulted in miscommunication on stage, also leading to feeling humiliated. I told the owner and the relative who seems to be assistant owner / manager, and they consoled me at first. The director didn't give me the space I asked before I decided to stay or not, when she made a decision for me. I continued to share my experience because I can't recommend this place to new comers, and still hadn't received an apology. Another director came into my messages trying to pathologized me for CRYING, and another person who runs the business went onto my Facebook posts and laughed at them. Very unprofessional. If you are not friends with the people in this community, do not bother trying to join it. Unfortunately since these are the same people who work at Harbor's Playhouse, I'm not sure it's any better. Btw, reading my update afterwards. I need to mention the miscommunication of the director led the person who helped me singing and complimented for the improvements I made to laugh at me in front of everyone. This could have been avoided with professionalism and better communication. Unfortunately things just got worse from there! Director messaging me until 2am. Another telling me to get help. None actually listening to the feedback I'm trying to provide. Sadly they want to guilt me over my honest opinion of a small business. Sorry, I'm not going to pretend to have had a better experience. In fact, being ma and pop... you'd expect better hospitality PS. The other reviews are from locals/people who know those who are already working there.

If you're looking for a quality martial arts dojo, this is not the place. The drama began in…read moreDecember 2024 when the owner, Mark, abruptly fired his senior instructor--someone who had stood by him for over 20 years. When asked why, Mark simply said, "He cost the dojo money." That decision triggered a mass exodus. Nearly all of his black belts quit. The few who stayed did so only because they were on the payroll (spoiler alert!). The fallout didn't stop there. Mark began transforming CCFMA into a full-blown McDojo, with every executive decision focused solely on maximizing profits--even if it meant sacrificing training quality. With the experienced students gone, the level of instruction declined sharply. Combine that with a profits-over-people mindset, and it's clear this dojo is crumbling. To make matters worse, the owner has been displaying increasingly erratic behavior. He now spends more time ranting to parents about former staff than he does actually training students. He's slandered loyal instructors with easily disproven lies and shown a complete lack of professionalism. The final straw came just last week when Mark fired his business manager of seven years without warning. That same evening, he publicly disparaged her in front of a full class. It was a bridge too far. His last remaining instructor walked out, unwilling to continue supporting the deception. And now? As of this writing, when 6:00 pm rolls around, the dojo sits empty. Mark--the so-called Grand Master--doesn't even show up to fulfill his obligations. He's left his students to fend for themselves. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. UNDER. ANY. CIRCUMSTANCES.
