I might be one of the very few people that actually liked Power Plant…read more Maybe it is because they have three of my favorite places there, maybe it is because you can drink outside of the bars and I can imagine it being amazing in the summer, or maybe it is convenience of having a group on bars in this little area, the ocean just ahead of it, a street strip of titty bars right behind it, and plenty of parking garages right next to it. I don't know. I found a few great things about this place..... They had Howl at the moon there, Angels rock bar and a leinenkugel beer garden. Here is how it worked the night I was there.... Once you decide on where to park, you get to power plant. You go in and you pay a cover to get into the little area. That night, cover was $10. So you pay $10 each and then they give you an entrance coupon or ticket. Every bar inside of powerplant, also has a cover of $10 or so. Your entrance into powerplant gets you a free entrance into one bar. So power plant is the outside area in between all the bars. Then you get ot pick one bar to go into for free. Leinie's beer garden was free though. So you really get two bars free if you look at it that way. It was cold that night so not much was going on outside. We decided to head straight for howl at the moon and we ended up staying there all night. I just like the concept of power plant but I can see how people are easily turned off by the multiple covers if you decide to do more than leini's and another. Oh yeah and they take credit cards to get in too. I was happy to see that.

The shopping center offers a ton of shops, restaurants, a great Wegman's grocery store, a movie theater, and more. I frequent CAVA, Chipotle, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Wegman's, Izakaya 68, and several of the shops (J.Crew Factory, DSW, Michael's). It's convenient and has a great variety of businesses, but the traffic in and out can be a little crazy. Other than the occasionally crazy parking or traffic to get in and out, it's a really convenient shopping center.

I've never heard about this spot until I attended an event on Memorial Day weekend. I'm glad I was introduced to this nice hidden gem. Correct me if I'm wrong, I would recommend incorporating a ramp. I didn't see one and I saw a gentleman that was could have used one in order to get to the other coffee, wine, ice cream, etc. I plan on going back for more tasty food and drinks. They now have a Rock& Toss crab house, Sake Japanese steakhouse, Cava, and Nalley Fresh. A Mama's on the Halfshell is coming soon. I came on this occasion to enjoy the live music with my family. It so nice to have a free outdoor activity to entertain everyone. I had a great time. On this occasion I got some Missikn BBQ. I enjoyed out in the little avenue area they have roped off. They no longer allow and consumption of alcoholic outside so you will have to enjoy that at one of the few locations nearby before coming out to see the music. Smoking is not allowed but there are always a few violators. I saw plenty of security monitoring the area and they will remind people this is an alcohol and smoke free event. I had a great time and will come back as long as the weather cooperates.

If you get there early enough you can grab a bite to eat and use the restaurant seating. There's an area in front of the stage for dancing and believe me it's used. It's so much fun being with your family and friends enjoying good music. The vibes are electric! This is a non smoking and alcohol event. There are 2 more concerts left and then I will feel like my summer is coming to an end:(
