Waaaaayyyyy over priced for a terrible job. Got a gel manicure and pedicure for $57. My gel nails and pedicure usually last 2-3 wks from my usual place $40. Every nail was chipped in less than a week. I asked for chrome and was given glitter. In the middle of getting my nails done another woman who worked there asked if my mother was with me implying I did not look old enough to be there on my own. Terrible service. I used Mamaroneck nails for 15 years and left when they quibbled over 50 Cents. I returned four years later back to my regular manicurist Kim and then Covid hit and they went out of business. I called the owner multiple times to ask for Kim phone number, but she refused to give it to me eventually when I called, she told me Kim is now working at Harbor Nails, I was thrilled to go back to her but I am less than thrilled now. For some reason she's not shaping my nails the way I like them although she did do them the way I liked for years. I even showed her a photo and she said that is the same. The salon is very basic. Nothing fancy, nowhere to put your purse. Unless you want it on the floor and I don't like my purse on the floor. The chairs are all peeling and it just doesn't give off a nice ambience. In addition you have to pay for metered parking, and I pay a toll coming from my job. I will give Kim another chance to shape them properly and if she doesn't, I will go back to the salon I was using during Covid. More expensive but free parking and closer to my home. read more

I really enjoy this nail salon. I go here for both nails and eyebrow waxing and have had consistently positive experiences. The staff is friendly and the salon is nice. They have a great selection of colors and even have the new "SNS" manicure which is a powder alternative to gel color. They have good prices as well. I haven't had to wait when coming here either so that's definitely a plus! read more

Worst nail salon in the area! I went her because I was given a gift certificate. I had a gel manicure which apparently included painting your fingers and missing spots on your nails and a pedicure that was rushed and extremely basic at best. I was the only customer in the place so there was no need for rushing me through. The women doing my nails was Kelly. She rushed me picking out a color which is so annoying I'm an adult I know what I'm looking for can you give me 2 minutes to look at my options. She helped me match the gel color to a regular color for my toes which was great except she put the colors on her work station and painted my toes some other color that luckily was close that was over in the pedicure station already because they weren't going to change it at least not for free. Everyone that worked there couldn't be bothered with even a hello. While I was getting my pedicure done another women came over and started the process of taking my gel polish off my nails. I go to the nail salon to take me time and relax I hate when you can't enjoy the short crappy pedicure they gave because they were soaking and scraping my nails the whole time. The kicker to the entire visit was when it came to the tip. I didn't have cash so of course they were annoyed so I asked them to include it when they ran my card. I gave her an amount I saw fit based on the service I got. She wanted a full 20% and said that straight to my face and basically refused to run the card until I upped the amount which I did but still not to the full 20% she walked away with my card came back for me to sign the slip and added in the full 20% anyway. I have never in my life experienced something like this and I will never be back. I typically tip over 20% but I didn't feel the service was worth the 20%. read more

As a customer who has been going to harbor nails for over ten years, I was shocked at my service today. I walked into the salon for my 3:00 appointment and was greeted by none of the ladies until sarah came out. My manicure was rushed and I felt there was no effort put into it. I did not catch my ladies name, but it was not Sarah. Sarah has always given me a great manicure and has always been friendly towards me. I was not asked if I wanted my nails cut and they were barley filed. When I noticed this I spoke up and said I wanted more than just a change of paint. When it was finished I was so shocked I checked my phone and only 8 minutes had gone by. I then got an eyebrow wax and a lip wax. Not only did she keep the door wide open but she also did not move the curtain. I felt extremely uncomfortable having people walk by while I was getting a wax. This also felt extremely rushed. I was out of the salon in 25 minutes. I found this unbelievable for a manicure and two waxes. As a customer for many years I was saddened by this service. read more

I was having work done on my car so I decided to wander over to Mamaroneck Avenue for a manicure and pedicure. A basic manicure/pedicure is $25 and it was $10 to add paraffin for my feet and $5 to add paraffin for my hands. A $7 eyebrow wax rounded out my experience. I spent about an hour and a half at Harbor Nails. She did a great job on my nails and let the paraffin set for a long time so my hands and feet felt silky smooth. The salon doesn't look very impressive but it's clean and they did a nice job on everything. read more

Worst French tips ever! I'm it sure if the person that did my nails knew what she was doing. Can't speak for the others ladies work. But i wanted to cry when I saw my results. I expressed my dislike and concern , they kept saying she will fix it. It will look great at the end. A three year old probably could of done a better job. I am beyond upset. Harbor nails does not even deserve this one star. I went in the other day for a mani pedi and it was disgusting. The lady doing my nails was so rude I had to hold back the whole time from punching her in the face. I've been going there for 10 years and it was always my go to nail salon but lately they have been a disaster. When I sat down in the chair to do my toes I looked around me and found a insect sticky pad on the floor with multiple bugs/ cockroaches stuck to it. I was there Monday and woke up on Tuesday with a swollen/ inflamed right hand finger. I now have a infection along/ under my nail and am taking antibiotics. I'm in pain and extremely mad. This has never happens to me anywhere else and says a lot about how clean they are. read more

Does not even deserve one star!!! Awful!!!!! They had a sign in the window for $25 gel manicure. I thought to myself, hey that's a good deal. So I went in to try it, and man I wish I saved myself the money. I was greeted by a nice lady who asked what I needed, I replied " a gel manicure please". She handed me the color wheels and walked away. About five minutes later someone else walks up to me asking what I needed. I was then seated and waited for a nail tech. A woman with the name tag " Sarah" sits down and immediately grabbed my hands ( she never even greeted me). She starts filing, cutting and then does my cuticles with no soaking or cuticle oil first. I was then bleeding, and when I asked her to clean it, you would have thought I inconvenienced her. Finally, she was done and a took a look at my nails. 9/10 of them were not fully covered in polish and I had topcoat all over my fingers. This is by far the worst gel manicure I've ever gotten. She must have known I was not pleased because all of a sudden they were doing a " get a gel manicure, and get a 10 min massage for free". I was then escorted to a massage chair, where a small Latino woman began to rub my back as the rest of the staff sat there chomping on whatever snacks they now had. I am currently taking off the horrendous manicure and extreme overuse of topcoat I received, only after having it for a half hour. I guess you get what you pay for! read more

This place is horrible! I went in for a pedi and was sat down and had to take my gel pedicure off. Sitting in there for 10 minutes, another customer walks in and gets in the chair next to me. The lady that was taking my pedi off started doing her. After 15 minutes of waiting I asked if she was going to do my pedi or her pedicure? She told me I have to wait someone else will do it. Harbor Nails has become my local go-to nail spot. I bring my own polish, because I've had a couple of issues with the quality of theirs, but otherwise they do a very nice manicure for $8. I'll travel a little farther and pay a little more for special occasions, but for regular nail maintenance or last-minute mani needs, Harbor Nails does the job. read more

I came here a few years ago for a manicure and was rushed, the polish chipped the next day, and was overall not good. Last week I needed to get a manicure (powder gel), and since they offer powder, are open on Sundays, and are close to home, I decided to give them another try. Big mistake!! The nail technician clearly didn't know how to actually do an SNS manicure. I was there for AN HOUR AND A HALF! To begin with, I had to soak off in a bowl, which completely ruins your nails and I hate doing as opposed to the cotton ball and foil. The technician also used the tool that's used on acrylic nails- agressively. I was dipped in coat after coat of powder, polish, and constant shaving down with this tool. After 3 or 4 rounds of this, the polish wouldn't dry!! Knowing something was run and sitting me in the fan, which mind you isn't necessary for SNS, she put a top coat for GEL MANICURES on so that it'd actually dry. So, i'm getting SNS to promote healthy nails, which was nixed by dipping in acetone and making them brittle, no need for the gel light, which I ended up using because she didn't know what I was doing, and for no dry time, which I spent twice as long for! My fingers literally HURT right after, and even more the next day. The next day my nails were also peeling!!! The top layer completely came off - probably because it shouldn't have been on there to begin with! The nail lady apologized and said I should come back and she'd "fix it for me". This experience was so so awful - my nails hurt, they are now brittle, the polish was so thick on and looked horrible and I spent twice the amount of time I should've. It was SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE that I didn't even go back to fix it. If I didn't have a problem causing a scene I would not have even paid. Needless to say I didn't leave a tip and will never be back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! I went here to get eyelash extensions. I typically go to Lash Affairs in Tuckahoe but they didn't have any appointments available and harbor nails is much closer to where I live so I figured this would be great because it's much cheaper and I can walk here. Obviously a HUGE mistake. The eyelashes are very cheap and the employee put way too many on and way too much glue on. The whole process was painful and uncomfortable. My eyes were partially glued closed at the end and she had to cut the lashes to unstick them. They were clumpy, spotty and completely uneven. I was so upset when I left and I went back to get them removed a half hour later (because Lash Affairs didn't have time to see me today) and the removal process was very uncomfortable. My eyes were burning and she was pinching and pulling at my lashes. When I asked for a refund the lady laughed at me...as if it was so outrageous I would want a refund for eye lashes I had taken off because they looked so terrible. She did give me the refund but obviously didn't care about my dissatisfaction or my discomfort throughout the process. read more

It is 2 days later and 2 of my tips are broken. The woman who did them, Michelle, was nasty and I felt like i was bothering her! My tips are so thin that they are actually bending. I use to go there often but one evening i stopped in for mani pedi. If they were closing soon they could have said that they could not do it instead of the reassuring words. I was having trouble deciding what color to pick and the rude girl asked me to hurry up and when i was drying this lady grabbed my feet and applied some more polish and they rushed me out the door.
