Since I don't do a lot of home maintenance it was a few weeks before I needed to go Lowe's, not making a special trip just to do the ten dollar return. Turns out a few weeks was two weeks past whatever their deadline is. So I'm stuck with a ten dollar paper weight. Back to their competitor, literally closer to our home, until they inevitably screw up again. Ironically enough in the two weeks since Lowe's turned us away, we've spent over $100 in three trips to Home Depot

I walked to the front of the store and customer service paged for help over the PA system. Nobody showed so after 10 minutes of waiting I went back to the customer service desk and she paged someone again. Still no help. It should not be this difficult to buy something. AND 3 people at the customer service desk with no line...maybe not a responsibility for them BUT service the customer! Sad to have to beg for someone to sell you a product. Poor service is what makes the Amazon monster grow.
