And don't feel like you have to spend top dollar on name brand batteries. This store has a new manager and it shows in the customer service. Tools at a very affordable price. All their hand tools have a lifetime warranty just like the high dollar tool stores, can't beat that. It is located a little off of hwy I-12 and was pretty easy to find with yelp map. read more

Love harbor freight but was disappointed with this one. I came on a Sunday which may be part of the reason of no inventory but NONE of the items I was looking for were out on the shelves. Store probably had less than 50% of the shelves stocked. I asked an employee if he can check to see if there are any 3 ton jacks and without even checking the warehouse he said if it's not on the floor then no. I though they would at least radio the warehouse manager to double check but he didn't seem to care The most disappointing thing is that I tried calling ahead before making a trip down and all I got was a busy signal. Hate to do this but I'll be going to Walmart to get jack, stands, and all my other automotive tools for my garage now. read more

"It's tool time, get your tool bag and belt ready". This store takes me back to the to Tim Allen's "Home Improvement" and "Tool Time". Of course, I am not one to get excited, upon entering a tool store. It's just not as cute as women's accessories store. When you are in need of tools, they should have exactly what you need at fairly decent prices. I am completely bored, when I come in here with always a sudden onset of fatigue each time, I kid you not! My husband, on the other hand, this is his mecca for affordable tools that he uses at work (the kinds where like, he doesn't care get stolen). I only come in here, if I don't want to sit in the car, while he shops. These stores have not always been in every city we lived in, but we are happy to have one right here in Baton Rouge. A nice store but cashier was lazy. I had a sixty dollar purchase and a $25 gift card from Father's Day and was going to use it. It kept giving a card reader error and the cashier never tried to fix it. He made me spend it with my debit card. He didn't try to type in the code on the card or anything. This disappointed me very much as this is usually a very good store. read more

Cashier Lonnie was very rude and disrespectful during my visit at this store. Before I waited in line for assistance, I looked for the products on my own. I did not find what I was looking for on my own so I asked him for help. He pointed in the area I just left saying "it's over there". I informed him that I looked and did not see it, that's why I'm asking you for help. He said well I don't know what to tell you. I said I'm asking for help, not the sarcasm. He then said, "if that's how you want to take it, that's on you". He glanced at the wall and said, if it's not here, we don't have it. I asked could it be anywhere else in the store and he said I don't know. I walked away because clearly he was not interested in helping me find the products I came for. I walked a few more aisle when I found the exact item I asked Lonnie to help me find. As he passed by me, I said, here it is, he said oh, well I didn't know they were over here. This tool supply store is not half bad. I usually buy cheaper tools because I have had so many expensive high quality tools disappear on me...can you believe that? So when it comes to buying tools l think of it as a wise investment in disposable tools that have a decent life span depending on usage and care. They usually always have things that I need at a discounted price and I receive their mailer, so I know when is the best time to buy specific supplies/tools. They don't carrying everything, the store is in a bit of a rough area, and you should anticipate standing in a long line...but that's the trade off for a good deal and if they didn't have good deals the store wouldn't be as crowded! read more

I've bought many items from the Sherwood Forest store, including the biggest generator they sell. They have low cost, really good quality products. A half hour ago I bought a very HEAVY duty 4 wheel garden cart for $79.00. Home Depot wanted almost twice as much for a lightweight aluminum cart. They can't afford to have 15 people waiting to serve you. Plan on spending 30 minutes in the store. I walk around and almost always see something I need. Be patient, for goodness sake and stop hating --It's Christmas time ! read more
