They are scum of the Earth who, apparently, sue random people just to waste their time. I had never even had any dealings with this shady currency exchange place, and yet I was sued by them. Why? Because someone stole my checkbook, slapped a random (probably made-up) signature on the blank checks, and cashed them. Instead of going after whoever cashed my stolen blank checks, they went after me -- the victim of a checkbook theft. Yes, one day, I got served court papers that said I am getting sued by this currency exchange place I had never even heard of before. I tried to settle the matter by explaining to the plaintiff and their attorney that the check in question had been stolen, and I even offered to show them my ID with my real signature so that they could see that the signature on the cashed check does not belong to me, but they refused. They had THE AUDACITY to demand that I drive to Chicago from a different state to get the police report I had filed regarding the checkbook theft: apparently, the only way to get a copy of the police report (which they did not give me when I filed it for some reason) is to physically go to CPD headquarters, which was a problem given that I do not live in Illinois and that I work 80+ hrs a week. Then, they demanded that a trial (yes, somehow it actually almost went to trial) be held in person. Eventually, the case was dismissed, but I had to waste a ton of time on this, even though all of this could have been easily cleared up in a more efficient manner. When I said they should compensate me for the time that they wasted, they had the audacity to tell me I am not entitled to any compensation. I guess they think they are entitled to wasting my time, though. I do scientific research 80+ hours a week, so I do not have any time to waste, and I am extremely annoyed by this circus. I did nothing wrong whatsoever, and they wasted my time with an absurd frivolous lawsuit anyway! As of this moment, they did not even apologize, and I do not expect they ever will. read more

Fees are all posted on the wall so I can easily Read. I can usually walk in with no wait or a 1min wait

The fees here are ridiculous. Even if you have to drive further away to find another currency exchange it will be worth it. I felt when I walked out of the place that I just got royally screwed. It's hard for me to believe that a document I needed notarized last year cost five times more this year for the exact same document. Rip-off artists without a doubt. read more

We know the staff very well since they were working across Maine East HS in Dempster Avenue. They moved to this location and we followed them even though there were two within distance from our house. Rose is a very kind person along with other staff there. One of the staff's son also works there. We never had any kind of problems and they were helpful to us with each transaction. Just had a great phone call with this place. I was asking about birth certificate info for my two-week-old daughter, and the gentleman on the phone was very honest and upfront about how long it takes for a newborn's info to be available to them in the county's system. He then explained that I could check the local county office if I needed the certificate same-day, which was really helpful. I was impressed that he gave this advice, even if it meant losing a potential sale. 5 stars, and props to an honest team! read more

Nicest currency exchange I've been to. Brie the girl helping me couldn't have been more helpful and speedy. Highly recommend!! The woman taking care of the other customers as was just as knowledgeable & pleasant as Brie. An elderly man was next to me getting something done, she was extremely patient and sweet to him. He was confused but it didn't let it bother her at all. In and out within 15 min after getting new license plate, city sticker, and title change. Great experience. read more

Little chubby Spanish lady tried ripping me off $60, I didn't notice till I got to the car, luckily she admitted to it and I got my $60. She didn't even give me a receipt, I assume she was hoping I'd drive off and let a lot of time pass and show up w/out the receipt/proof. Last time I was there it looked like little kids were working there. If you do business with them, just make sure you count every penny and have your receipt. read more
