Happy snapper sport fishing is 5/5!! Captain Harold and first mate john were extremely accommodating for guests who had 0 experience fishing. They motivated us and were very knowledgeable. They explained everything to us and made sure we had a good time and went home with plenty of fish to enjoy. Their boat is clean and features an upper deck that provides a great view of the sunrise. They play great tunes and have plenty of waters that kept us hydrated. All around great experience!!

Had a great time out on the sea! Captain is a fun loving guy that plays good music while at sea. Deck hand went all out and kept the boat organized at all times with 7 lines in the water. Even drew some blood trying to get some of the fish in the boat. Boat was amazingly spacious and could easily fit 10+. We caught a total out f 16 fish (see pic). 5 stars great experience highly recommend this trip

Had an awesome day out with Capt. Harold and mate Joe. caught a bunch of Kings, a nice 8' Hammerhead, and a 10' bull shark. Non stop action. I'll be back for a sailfish this winter! Great boat. highly recommend.

These guys are great - we had a fabulous time! Right off the bat I hooked a 72 inch sail fish. We caught a lot of king fish which they cleaned and filled up for us and we took it down to sands Harbor and they cooked it up we had a great lunch the rest were taken home.

New location by the Hillsboro Inlet Bridge.

Every detail was handled, every question answered, and the energy on the boat was confident but relaxed. We ended up landing a 7.5 ft sailfish and a 14 ft hammerhead - a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. What stood out most wasn't just the fish, though. It was how Captain Jack and Christina guided us through every step of the fight. Clear coaching, constant communication, and total composure even when things got intense. Christina worked nonstop and went above and beyond all day. Both of them were incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely excited for us. You can tell they care deeply about what they do and about the experience their guests have. I've fished a lot of places, and this was one of the most memorable days I've ever had offshore. If you're even considering booking with them - do it. You won't regret it.

The best part is all the gear and equipment and bait is included for all paying guests. There's several trip options to choose from. Early morning, during the days and their late night trip. We have done all, and I prefer the late nights. The water is calmer, it's not as hot, and it's pretty relaxing if you ask me. The business operates daily, weather permitting. The boats are pretty big, they seem to be able to hold about 30 persons on the fishing level. There's an upper deck for a smaller fee, for people who do not want to fish, but go along for the ride. You're welcome to keep whatever you catch, depending the size of course. Once we cough a nurse shark, we were not able to keep it, but it sure had eveyone taking onboard! You're also allowed to bring your meals and drinks on board. It's definitely a party if you make friends with your neighbors and enjoy the tour. I'll definitely continue using this company for years to come.

The…read morecaptain, Skip Dana, has years of experience at doing what he does so you're in pretty good hands. It generally sails 3 times a day with a morning, afternoon and evening trips of around 4 hours each. They provide you with rod, reel, bait and a fishing license is unnecessary. The times I've gone out on it were OK, but for drift fishing, the boat was somewhat overcrowded on those occasions. Hence, I would say the best times might be off season when there are fewer people around. I won't comment on the catch since that is generally a situation of the fish being cooperative, certainly not the lack of skill or in any way the fault of the ship, the crew or the fishermen.

The Helen S is a my favorite boat but the Fish City Pride is a perfect alternative. I prefer to fish the morning trips so that I'm at the marina early enough to watch all the boats and marine life. The staff are like family. Very helpful and always excited to see people catch fish. The mates are knowledgeable and quick to help with fish and tangles. The captains know all the best spots to fish and will personally clean your fish for you back at the dock. Other fishing charters include a 45 minute boat ride to the fishing hole. With this company, you've got lines in the water 10 minutes after leaving the marina. This means you get a full extra hour of fishing unlike the Ft Lauderdale based charters. They provide everything you need to fish. All you need is your sunglasses, sunblock, a sandwich, and something to drink. This is a alcohol free boat so leave the beer at home.

    Deerfield International Fishing Pier

    Deerfield International Fishing Pier

Sit right back and I'll tell you a fish story about the iconic Deerfield Beach Pier. Th first…read morewooden Deerfield fishing pier was built 1951-1952. Low and close to the water, it was a place for the community to gather and fish. In 1956 the pier was purchased by Robert Jahn, from Mt. Vernon, New York. Local, Joe Cass was hired as the pier manager. He added a restaurant, tackle shop, and chum machine to which he added a special mixture of meat, oil, and oatmeal which kept the fish coming and lured in the fishermen too. Hurricane Donna wiped out the pier in 1960. City commissioners proposed a bond issue to replace it and on August 1, 1963, a new wooden 720 foot pier with concrete pilings was dedicated. Through the years different people leased the pier but none were able to turn a profit. The last lessee, Charlie Thompson turned the pier back over to the city and became the pier manager. He was able to make the pier profitable for the first time with events like fishing contests. In 1976 during a tour of South Florida, President Gerald Ford stopped by at Charlie's invitation. It was his proudest accomplishment and Charlie retired from duty in 1988. Today the pier is 970 feet long and attracts thousands of sightseers and fishermen a year. The pier is open 6 AM to 11 PM daily. They ask that people who are fishing keep a minimum of 10 feet apart. The pier also has a souvenir and bait shop sells bait, tackle, fishing accessories and rents fishing rods. My favorite thing about the Deerfield Beach Pier is actually free and you don't even have to go there in person. At the pier, the city operates 3 live stream cameras, the pier camera, the beach camera, and my favorite, the world famous spinner sea camera where you can watch the fish swim right up to it. This feed is shown on the bait shop wall and online. To see the cameras you just have to go to the pier website. During my last visit I was disappointed with the condition of the pier. I paid $2, which granted is not a lot of money but you couldn't even walk to the end of the pier because it was closed off by a gate. The only one using the end of the pier were the pelicans. The pier was also dirty and smelly. Fast forward to my visit this weekend and the pier is looking better than ever now that phase one and two of reconstruction have been completed. You can walk all the way to end and there are new benches and fish cleaning stations. Best of all is that you can fish and walk the pier for free until January. I even ran into a film crew. A few finishing touches are still being completed including The Break House, a new kitchen and beach bar that will be soon be opening next to the entrance of the pier. Come out and enjoy this iconic Deerfield Beach landmark while the weather is gorgeous and it is free to visit.

The water was so blue and clear, we were able to see all the fish swimming around. We even saw a ray, 3 sea turtles, and a few barracudas. We also caught a bunch of bait as well with the squid we bought from the receptionist! There were also a lot of boats near us, but security was on top of it. The other fishermen near us were kind and respectful. The only con is that parking near the dock is way too little. We arrived at 5:30am, 30min before the dock opened, but it started to fill up around 6:00am. Be warned, otherwise you pay for parking at the garage.
