My son and I had a great time fishing with Marlin My Darlin. He caught a total of 5 fish including…read morea 7 foot shark! They used all different methods of fishing, some of which we never even heard of! So that was very interesting! When we first got there, there was a guy on the boat and we were trying to figure out which boat we were on. My son pointed out that the the guy was "definitely less than thrilled to see us." Then once we figured out which boat we were on and got on, he was SUPER nice. Fast forward 8 hours (we had an 8 hour charter). I gave both the captain and mate what I thought was a very generous tip. Well the Mate was VERY vocal about his total displeasure in the amount of the tip. Keep in mind I just spent $1,675 on the trip, $1,850 to have my Son's shark mounted, $350+ for a hotel, so my budget was stretched pretty thin, but I still managed to give them a great tip. But unfortunately it very clearly wasn't nearly enough. Thank you Marlin My Darlin, but we'll definitely do some research and look for a different charter company next time.

Her tour is designed to give you a calm, relaxing vibe as you cruise the Las Olas canals via paddleboard! Despite my amazing ability to swim like a rock, under Natasha's direction, I still felt comfortable and safe the entire time! She made sure my boo and I didn't fall behind while also keeping watch of the experienced paddleboard couple that ventured out ahead. There was some instruction time with safety tips before we boarded and I loved the added feature of her offering some waterproof pouches for our phones. There was nothing I would change about this tour except if I could go again and if I could doggy-sit Mr. Beaches :D

We had an excellent time with SUP Pup!…read more Our group consisted of about 11 people of all skill levels, and we all managed to have fun. Natasha is really easy-going, friendly, and patient (which is important when you have a loud and easily distracted group!). She let us put our stuff on her boat and hang out there for a little bit until everyone from our group had arrived. Then, we were given a short lesson that included safety, how to paddle, and how to stand up. She demonstrated both on land and in the water. After helping us get in, one at a time, she took us around the canals and made sure we didn't get run over by any boaters. Not everyone in our group chose to stand up, but even those who sat or kneeled the entire time had fun. It was my first-time ever and I stood up for the majority of the ride! It is definitely a workout for your core and legs. And Natasha shared some great tips for how to keep your balance when boats pass by or when you're just "standing" still. Additionally, she frequently asked if we were okay and if we were having a good time. She and her boyfriend took lots of photos too, which she later sent to us. This was great, since most of us didn't bring our phones on the paddleboard. Mr. Beaches (her corgi) is ADORABLE and rides on Natasha's paddleboard. I thought it was the cutest thing that he would bark whenever someone fell off their board. If you didn't hear the splash, you knew someone had fallen because of Mr. Beaches. At the end of our ride, which was about 1.5 hours, Natasha helped us get out of the water, one-by-one and then served a yummy cheese and meat platter. We were all pretty hungry and made it disappear rather quickly! I'd definitely do this again.

Another good feature is its nearby location to Hillsborough Inlet which allows easy access to and from the ocean.

Was expecting some actual tour info, never visited this area and only new tidbit I learned was in regards to the golden gate. We did sail past a lighthouse but nothing was said about it! The tour guide, Tony was nice enough, but definitely wasn't engaging. Kinda gave the vibes as if our tour was an after thought and honestly didn't want to be there and not familiar with our boat. Tour also started late because we were sent the wrong address. Captain confirmed but wasn't at the confirmed location when we called and we had to drive elsewhere. No signs or flags just "walk to the back of the restaurant". The boat had tiki decor, but could definitely get a facelift. There were bean bags to sit on that have seen better days. Seats in the front would get splashed with water. The floor had wet turf, so be aware of that! Water was offered and stored in a cooler. The cooler also doubled as a seat. Lack of cup holders. Life jackets were dirty! Being that the tour was a sunset one we were anticipating sailing in the dark. Was not expecting to be sailing in pitch black. The only light was from the shore and other boats. Captain couldn't figure how to turn on the string lights. Even when he supposedly called for assist no one knew how to turn it on. We were offered to extend the trip but definitely declined since what would be the point?! We had a good time because of the fun that we brought. Likely wouldn't return with my family.

What makes this the ideal spot? It's far enough inside the inlet to ensure calm, clear, shallow water. Perfect to jump into, float on the raft, play Frisbee, football, dance to the dueling music... yeah, our speakers can go louder than yours. lol There were plenty of families with the kids happily splashing, dogs having a blast and yeah, some very pretty girls in skimp bikinis. Oh and those guys throwing the football... it's all there. On a sunny afternoon, this is a great spot to drop anchor for a few hours. Enjoy!
