Crazy because that was the first time ive ever been there. So i was confused why they didnt talk to me about what they were going to do. I asked for him to get a wash, teeth clean, nails done, and to leave about an inch of fur but to NOT cut anywhere on his head. When i finished talking they took my dog to the wall and hooked him to it. I left and 3 hours later i get a call to come pick him up and they said they close at 2:30pm so to hurry... it was 2:15pm... so i had to rush over to pick up my dog. This is the worst part. I walked in and i almost didnt notice my fur baby. They shaved him down to the skin!!! He looked so miserable. There were multiple shave cuts on his neck. They shaved his tail about 2 inches up then left the whole thing long and bushy. I was immediately furious, but it was already 2:30 and i didn't want to deal with the whole mess especially since nothing can fix it now. I paid and left. I will NEVER go back nor do i advise anyone to go there. The lady even said to me when i picked him up, "he was so good, he let us do whatever we wanted to him" WHAT?! I hope this experience never happens to anyone else

And our bathtub just doesn't do the trick. Puddles is the direct result of a small business owner, a groomer, who listened to her customer's requests. The venue charges on a sliding scale, from $5-$25 (depending on weight/size). Nail clips are $5. The dog stands in a small bathing bay, you spray the dude down, shampoo and wash (soaps are safe and all natural), dry with a shammy and finally, give 'em a blow dry (most dogs, including ours, hate that part). Employees stand nearby and assist as you request. Your dog stares longingly into your eyes, anxiety-ridden, whimpering, but at least you're someone he trusts. The shop offers other small bells and whistles like treats, accessories and a free bandana following the wash. They're also happy to post a Glamour Shot of your dog on their social channels. This attitude is really helpful for people who are overwhelmed but medical jargon. Helpful for us and definitely for the person who doesn't understand medicalese.

After an exhausting argument in the lobby where I felt entirely dismissed, I reluctantly agreed to the shorter length just to keep my appointment. Ultimately, the business called me to pick up my dog mid-appointment without completing the trim. I came to pick him up and he had already been washed and could have been trimmed When I got him home, I easily brushed out the remaining surface tangles myself. He did not have mats, just needed a standard trim which I proceeded to another groomer to finish the job. They did not charge me but I felt the matting issue was overblown and especially the confrontational communication with the staff left me exhausted and convinced me not to return.

Also, no idea what others are referring to about the admin staff and ladies that answer the phones but I've called over 20 with various people answering the phone and it's always a positive experience. She was more than willing to ease my (first time) nerves of letting a stranger into my house and taking care of one of the family.. that's not something someone should tred lightly on; she provided proof that her (legitimate) business was registered with the city, had insurance, along with additional relative documents (to include references-which I stupidly but don't regret not completing). Each time she came she left "progress notes" about what she and my dog did together so I would know what's needed upon returning home; sometimes she communicated this also thru text messages. Upon the last visit I was shocked to see a toy and little gifts left behind, to include a thank you note (with a photo of my dog) for the opportunity to help.
