I will not be returning to this nail shop. I work a lot with my hands so i get the SNS dip powder and it usually last me about 4 weeks with no chipping of the paint. It has been only an week and a half and majority of my nails have broken. The guy did not take his time to do them because there are so many lumps and i even have to stop him a few times to fix things that should have been very visible to his eyes. Even my toe nails have chipped! I'm so disappointed! On top of that with all of this coronavirus going on it appointment only. A girl came in for an appointment with she switched from 2pm to 10pm but somehow they didn't not write it down. They made her leave and come back at 2pm. You would think they would accommodate her since it was their fault, but no they didn't!! So unprofessional

Found this nail place on google I got a full set and pedicure price was okay $107 before tip but the guy rushed the whole time i was in and out in under an hour my friend also got her nails done all white no design which were $63 before tip seems a little pricey when the service was not great at all I won't be retiring here

Nails (4 days after having them done) on the hand that was finished w gel nail polish bc dip "wouldn't take" and where 3 jewels are missing

I went in on Monday for a repair and decided to get my nails redipped. I called to make sure they had availability and someone who could do the service and they said they did. Got there and they were trying to sit me w someone for a refill. When I explained again what I was looking for they had to go get another tech, Michael T. Michael/Mike sat down and asked me "why you want dipped" then expressed his negative feelings about the process, even admitted to being rusty w the technique, and ended the sentence with kind of a condescending "but that's what the customer wants" as if, I being the customer, was asking for too much or something outrageous. It took forever bc he had to redo a few of my nails bc even he thought they looked bad. Then he said the dip didn't take to part of my nails on one hand so he filled it in w gel nail polish. I had asked in the beginning if i could get a few rhinestones on 2 of my nails. Which he had completely forgotten about by the time he was done. I had to remind him as he was packing up like he was finished. He did throw the rhinestones in for free bc he took such a long time to finish my nails. The jewels started falling off THAT DAY. Then day three comes along and the nails on the hand that were finished w gel are already chipping and look TERRIBLE while the other hand looks nice minus the missing jewels. My tech knew I lived over an hour away and was there on an emergency. I informed him that I had one nail that had cracked all the way to the nail and just needed to have them redone. So it isn't like I can just come back to Happy Nails to have this remedied. Unfortunately, now just FIVE days after paying $65, plus a tip bc when I left the salon they looked ok, to have them done at happy nails... I have to go spend more money to have them done properly at my salon at home.

Gel Full Set $68
Shakeira S.

So this was the first nail salon I've been too since moving to Virginia, I can't for the life of me understand why a gel full set was $68, on top of that the customer service was shitttty, the lady who did my nails had the worse attitude ever, why come to work if it's going to hurt you to be nice! Will never come to this overpriced place again!!!! However lmao my nails look pretty decent

Right at top trifling to charge 55 smh

no stars I usually go here often I'm not any more I usually pay for gel full set for 45 or 50 but today the thirsty bitches charge me 55 so my nails are cut to my tips and the charged extra 5 smh never again beware they are cheating people and I was told if the length was pass finger tip that was extra 5 not at fingertips smh

Pedicure prices. Reasonable.

This is the 4th place I've been to for a pedicure in the area. I am by far sold this is the place to go. They always look busy and when I'm heading in to food lion I didn't want to wait. Today I had time to kill and even though they looked busy they could seat me right away. About an hour for the whole pedicure and fantastic. I only heard two of the six staff speak any English but oh my what a great job the lady did who did mine. The massage was more than expected. Soak, cut, nail file, pumice, oil, push cuticles, clean under nails, soak, file foot, scrub with massage, lotion with massage, hot towel, massage again, layers of paint with amazing detail! I will for sure be switching to here for my local spot.

this was their floor, not even a Snapchat filter could make it look better

Very dirty. It looks like they don't clean anything in the salon, they put clippers and nail tools back in drawer after each use. The man I saw ripped off of natural nail while trying to remove the acrylic nail, caused me to bleed a lot and didn't even offer a discount for the inconvenience.

Shellac manicure my real nails
Amber S.

I am really happy with how my nails and eyelashes turned out here. In town for a wedding, I googled a nail salon close to the Hilton Garden Inn where I was staying and found this gem. I got a pedicure, manicure (shellac) and then spontaneously got my lashes done ($25! Wow!). I am posting pictures because you just see for yourself they did an amazing job! Forgot to get a picture of my toes but they were cute!!

As advertised, they were in fact able to accommodate me without an appointment. The salon itself is super cute with a lot of shabby chic decor -- a bit of an Etsy upcycled look to it. After about a 30 minute wait, I was introduced to my stylist, Kim Curling. Kim asked several intake questions about my hair, my daily routine, and my preferences before starting. Typically, I'm hard pressed to find a stylist who doesn't cut my hair too short on the first try -- but Kim did an excellent job staying in my comfort window. She also was very helpful by introducing me to a new styling product that is amazingly low maintenance, helps maintain my curls, and doesn't make my hair stiff as a board! Overall, it was a good experience. In terms of my star rating -- I went with four because it was an expensive endeavor ($80+), and for that price, it didn't come with spa perks that I've come to expect at that price level (aromatherapy, skin/scalp treatments, complimentary tea/coffee, etc.). It's a nice little place though and I wouldn't hesitate to get my hair done here again if I was in the area!

I didn't leave an immediate review after my haircut because I wanted to take time and reflect…read morerather than write out of emotion. My hair has since grown back, and with clarity, I feel comfortable sharing my experience. I booked a haircut online for a listed price of $70. During booking, I shared a reference photo and explained in detail that my hair is very long and thick, and that I needed a stylist who would be patient and not rush the service. When I arrived, I re-showed the reference photo and reiterated what I wanted. Once I was in the chair, the stylist explained that she only has one hour per client. Despite this, the appointment felt rushed and disorganized. I know this because my service ran into her next client's scheduled time. That client waited for a period of time and ultimately canceled with her and worked with another stylist in the salon. While the stylist stated she only had one hour per client, my appointment ran well beyond that. My scheduled appointment time was 12:30 PM. I received a text at 11:43 AM asking if I wanted to come in early, and my receipt was sent to me at 2:13 PM. Even accounting for arriving early, this places my appointment at over two hours from start to finish--far longer than the one-hour window that was repeatedly referenced. I specifically asked for layered hair with shorter layers to help with the weight. Instead, I was given long layers, and my hair was thinned out without my consent ( as you can see the bottom portion of my hair is noticeably thin, compared to the top) . I didn't say anything at the time because the thinning had already been done and couldn't realistically be fixed. While my hair is healthy and grows back, the haircut I received was not the haircut I asked for. It wasn't "messed up," but it also wasn't what I requested. At checkout, the stylist leaned over and whispered to the receptionist, after which an additional $25 charge for thick/long hair was added. This charge was not discussed with me directly, despite my hair length and thickness being clearly disclosed before booking. After leaving a Google review outlining these concerns, the owner publicly accused me of never being a client and stated she stood by her stylist, without acknowledging the issues raised. Later that same night, I was contacted directly via text around 10:30 PM asking to "chat." That message was unsolicited and crossed a professional boundary, especially after publicly dismissing my experience. The outreach did not include an apology and felt more focused on protecting the business's image than addressing client concerns. I was polite throughout this entire process and even tipped my stylist. There was no malice on my end--just honest feedback. While my hair did grow back, not everyone is in that position, and an experience like this could be very upsetting for someone struggling with self-image. Ultimately, the lack of communication, consent, and professionalism--both during the service and afterward--is why I would not return and why I'm sharing this experience here for other women

Y'all! I just can't say enough good things about this salon! From the get-go, the online booking is…read moreso easy. I booked the same day with zero hassle. Plus, they offer gift cards right on their website, which is perfect for when you want to give the gift of gorgeous hair without the guessing game I always send my friends the link to exactly what I want ! When I walked in, I almost thought I had the wrong place because they rearranged everything to fit in two more booths! Love seeing how much they're growing! Today, I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by the lovely Idelette Herbst, and let me tell you, she is a dream. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted and executed it flawlessly. Also, can we talk about the head massage she gave me during the shampoo? ‍‍She totally nailed my haircut, and I'm already counting down the days until my next appointment with her. Oh, and let me just say--the playlist was everything! At one point, I thought they were playing my personal playlist because every single song was one I listen to.
