Went back to Happy Nails after not having been in about a year for a dip manicure. Ownership has changed and so has the staff. I only saw one woman from the old team. The woman who did my dip was very nice but really didn't know what she was doing. The it's so thick and poorly shaped. I asked her to make them thinner but she did not/didnt know how to. Probably the worse manicure I've ever had. "Kim" was obviously clueless. First, she couldn't remove my existing polish (dip) and had to ask someone else to help. Then she kept messing up the dip color and fixing it with regular polish. My nails were filed crookedly as well. Within a few days, the top layer was peeling off and other parts were chipping. Horrible is an understatement - My daughter asked for french tips and they put the tips on then used dip for the white tip. This made the nails bumpy and double the size at the tip then the nail bed. I asked the nail tech to reshape the nails and she angrily just filed them for a second and was done. We left and went to another salon to have them fixed. The second salon was removing the nails and the dip was still wet underneath. This would have led to fungus growing under the nail if we didn't immediately go have them taken off. Horrible service and double the price as any salon in the area. I dont even want to give them 1 star. read more

Had the best experience getting my lashes done by Tammy today. I have naturally straight and downward growing lashes, so I'm pretty amazed by the lift and length I'm getting from these new lashes! This was the first time I've ever gotten lash extensions so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Tammy made the whole experience so smooth and easy. She gave me a beautiful set of fluffy, yet natural looking lashes and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. My wife and I went monthly to happy nails and got spa pedicures for several years. The facility is clean and neat. Unfortunately we stopped going about a year ago. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm. We waited for 45+ minutes for available seating. When they finally got to us, and we were well known to the staff since we typically tip well, we were told there wasn't enough time for our usual but we could get a standard pedicure instead. terrible, terrible experience here at happy nails in richbaro. the one star is for the display of the salon. i went to happy nails a few months ago and Rude staff, over priced, and rough. as you can see in the picture here, i asked for a french fade same length and shape as the picture. what i got instead was rough white lines which was the "french fade", plus an infection on a nail. the nails were not what i asked for whatsoever, and i payed $75 of hard earned money just to be displeased of my nails and disregarded by staff. will not be coming back read more

I went to this salon yesterday for the 1st time, and had a great experience. Everything was clean, and the place had a pleasant smell to it. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Everyone was very polite and accommodating. Hannah did my nails and they look great. I had one broken nail that they somehow managed to shape well enough for it to not be noticable. I came in pretty late, but they still took me in right away and patiently stayed for 10 minutes after closing just to finish my manicure. I honestly don't know what the bad reviews are about. The only downside is that this place is a bit pricey, but I have called every place in Richboro, PA and they all have the same exact price for the services I get (gel manicure & pedicure). Everyone is polite and professional. My manicurist recommended different colors and was thorough. She gave me tips on how to better take care of my nails and hands. Awful place. I went there the day before and got an acrylics refill. Not even a few hours later, I noticed that there's a crack on my nail. Decided to call them the next day and the lady said that they're booked and I can come around 6. That's what I did. The girl fixed my nail and they decided to charge me 5 dollars even tho the damage was due to the poor work quality and the fact that they rush thought their manicures (they don't even soak your hand and cut the cuticles dry, when they actually cut it, most of the times they're not even bothered about that). Note that I left tip 2 dollars the day before and I paid 49!!!$ for the refill. It doesn't cost that much, but I said nothing because I though that "oh it's okay, these money will go to the technician too" even considering the fact that the quality of her work is awful. Today they decided to charge me 5 dollars and I agreed, but I didn't have cash on me so I paid card. They told me that the minimum transaction is 10 dollars and I asked "oh can I pay with pennies?" because that's the only thing I had on me besides card. They said no, for some reason. Then I asked "can you charge 10$ but give me 5 dollar change with cash?". They said yes. They took my money and instead of giving me back my 5 dollars, she grabbed it and gave it to the technician. I asked them why she just gave away MY money since the price was just 5 dollars and she didn't even ask me. Apparently I have to tip the technician 5 dollars on top of the tip I gave her yesterday for the POOR JOB. She didn't even ask me and did what she wanted with my money. Went in to get a pedicure, and no one was at the counter, I sat down and waited about 10 minutes when another woman walked in and they jumped up to help her, I said excuse me, I was waiting and the woman looked at me for what? This salon does nice work BUT I'm a high risk customer. I asked to be moved to allow one table between customers. I was yelled at in front of all the other customers. All I wanted to do was be moved one table over. There were 3 empty tables to the right of me. There is a plexiglass partition that only allows 3' vs. 6' between customers. If you are concerned about being safe, this isn't the place for you. I've reported them to the department of health. read more

I went there today for a dip manicure and am very disappointed. Complete waste of $35, as I will be going elsewhere tomorrow to have them re done. My nails look terrible! There is clear polish hardened all around my cuticles and the clear polish is not smooth and is not very shiny, as it is supposed to be. It looks chipped in spots, although it is not. I think because the color or top coat was not applied smoothly. I still have pink residue left around my nails from my previous color. I noticed some of the issues and even went back inside to have it corrected. The attempt was made, but they still do not look nice. I NEVER complain about my bails, but this is just unacceptable. read more

I have been going here for YEARS. So knowing that this is a secure, semi/cheap place that's decent I figure I would go to get my prom nails done. I went in, waiting 15 minutes and then barely got a pedicure for $25 dollars. When it came to nails I wanted to get a French fade because it would look nice with my dress. So, I showed a picture when she first started my toes and by the time we got over to doing my nails she forgot and started painting them white. After correcting her mistake, she realized she could not do them. Another women comes over and says she can do them so she brought this wack brush out of her bag and tries to brush a $5 brush on my nails, ultimately creating lines. After she realized those lines she pulled some sponges out of her ass and started blotting the white creating bubbles (very tacky). After realizing that she looks at me with angst and knew she fucked up. After all this bullshit of over an hour of wasting my time she told me she's going to take them off and file them and make them as thin as possible! The French looks nice but my nails are so messed up from them filing off the gel.... At least don't charge your customers full price for fucking their nails up... Horrible manicure!! Got a gel manicure on a Thursday before leaving for vacation the next day. Arrived at destination on Friday and polish peeled off in one "sheet". Bought crazy glue at hotel gift shop (which cost a fortune) to try to save manicure. Glued polish back down. An hour later another nail did same. Glued that one down. Before days end, 5 nails had peeled. Ended up pulling off remaining fingers as manicure looked ridiculous. Every nail peeled right off very easily in a sheet. Super disappointed. Not my "go to" Salon but received gift card for birthday. Very sad I still have $ left on card. Will likely go to waste. If I could have given NO stars I would have. Worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. In the past I'd always been satisfied with the service at Happy nails but it's been a while since I've been there. I went today and asked to try the powder dip. It was my first time trying this. I'm assuming it was the owner that was doing my nails as she was in the first chair and so engrossed in the comings and going's of the salon and who was next etc that I felt completely ignored. It was obvious she was rushing through, even starting to file down the customer next to me while I washed my hands. The best was that I had scheduled 20 minutes in the massage chair and was told it was too busy! I'm sorry, I was planning on paying for the massage lol. At the end of the day, the real issue was that my nails were so thick and badly done that I went down the street to Hannah nails and had the powder taken off and gel put on. Honestly my life is falling apart. It all started when I came here last week to get my nails done for my sisters wedding. I decided to get dip powder since it's ALL THE RAGE and BOY do I REGRET it. Basically the woman decided to tear apart my cuticles for no reason. They were bleeding. She whips out a napkin soaks it in alcohol and BAM slaps it on my open wound. She then proceeded to buff over my bleeding nail beds. She then DIPS my BLOODY NAILS in the COMMUNAL DIP POWDER. I then got an infection in three of my nails which resulted in a fever :~)))))))) My throat ~~~~ is killing me!! :~))) unrelated? I'm not sure. I also cracked my tooth in half because when I was in elementary school my dentist was getting a divorce then drilled my tooth down to the nerve for money so I had to get a root canal at the ripe old age of like 11?? So no one told me that after it's been over 10 years the tooth gets brittle and CRACKS!!! Because nO One expects a 23 year old to have a ROOT CANAL THATS THAT OLD!!! Anyway I went to the dentist and she said I can't get a crown because the crack is too bad so I need a DAMN IMPLANT. But it's fine, implants only cost 4 grand and take like 8 months she said. So basically my life has been in a downward spiral ever since I came here. Wouldn't recommend. Also my blood is in some of the dip powders. So yeah. read more

I went in on Sunday to get tips with dip powder and it was the worst mistake ever. Not even a week after 3 of my nails completely fell off. I went back in to get them fixed. And then another fell off. I called and spoke to someone who was extremely harsh and rude over the phone would not let me talk. And explained that "they were not staying on my nails because of my nail bed". I have been to many other salons and have never had a problem. PROS clean nicely decorated call ahead for appointment- even if you are already on your way Friendly staff massage lots of additional services- waxing, etc. get mani and pedi at the same time a whole wall of color choices gel very cheap for the area CONS need to replace a lot of the polish- it gets thick after too long some of the techs rush you out of the dryers if its busy I always go here and recommend it to all my friends. Everyone has been happy. It does sometimes get busy and some of the clients are rude- it is in a snobby area. They share a parking lot with grocery store- and there is not enough space. Even when they are busy I can tell that they make that extra effort to make sure I'm taken care of. I really like the options they have for colors and services as well. I have been going to Happy Nails close to the time they opened in Richboro. The salon is always sparkling clean, the employees that I have used over the years have always done a great manicure and pedicure. Annie and Gina are usually there to greet you as you walk in the door. I never had a problem getting an appointment and I also have been a walk-in at times and never experienced a long wait. They are always well staffed. I have used them for waxing from time to time and also squeezed in a 20 minute massage on occasion. I'm not sure if it was the tech that helped me or just a difference in standards, but this place deserves less than one star. I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure was rushed, they did not allow my feet to soak at all and the only thing they use on my heels was a worn pumice file which I could have done at home. They barely trimmed my cuticles or filed my toenails. The manicure was even worse. They don't soak your hands for a gel manicure, so they cut your cuticles dry which left my hands looking ragged. That was also a rush job compared to the multiple gel manicures I've had over the years. In the end I skipped the gel because it was not worth the money based on the minimal service otherwise. The best part of the experience was the free jolly rancher I grabbed on my way out! read more

The ladies talk about you in another language as they laugh at look at you every now and again.
