I called and she told me I would be waiting about 45 mins but I got there and only wait 15 minutes before I was seated in a chair and started being serviced. It's been quite a long time I have been here,but, I took a chance and went back. The last time before I went wasn't that bad. The guy did somewhat of a an okay job,so I thought why not. Well,this time was a HUGE mistake. I waited to get a full set for over 45mins. When the man did get to me he seemed to be in a big rush. I had old gel nails on from a different salon I had gone to,and,I told the man I needed them removed for a fresh new set. He completely ignored me and proceeded to apply the tips I chose on top of the old set I needed removed before hand. He was sloppy,and was moving too fast. The tips he tried to put on 3 were crooked,and he had to tear off about 4 to try to reapply them on my fingers. When he was sanding down the acrylic he cut my cuticles,and sliced one finger wide open. On top of that- The man acted as if I was bothering him by even being there. He jerked my card out of my hand,and slammed the card machine down on the counter. Then threw my receipt at me and told me to sign. Not going back. read more

I've been here before and got a gel nail many times before, and my experience was always pleasant. This time I got a deluxe pedicure ($45) without polish. I just prefer the natural look and it is easier to maintain. I got a choice of type of product I could use. I chose tangerine over olive formula. The deluxe includes the regular trimmings as well as a foot and leg scrub, a foot and leg deep penetrating clay moisturizer massage, a hot towel wrap, followed by a lotion massage. I hardly ever get my nails done. But on a whim because my daughter had already made an appointment decided to get mine done. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The young guy that did them was rude and barely paid attention to what he was doing. He was on the phone the whole time. Every nail is a different length and width. They are thick and bulky and look just awful. Because I don't go often I didn't notice til after I left. I've been calling for 3days and can't get through. Not to mention I was over charged which I didn't notice until after too. I will not go back and will make sure to let everyone know to go somewhere else. I have gotten good service and bleh service here, and have spent over $100 at times for a mani pedi and face wax, and as little as $15 for a manicure. Today I just wanted a manicure and signed in. Two people came in without signing in. One came in ten minutes later and just flopped herself in the pedicure chair. The other came in close to one hour after I had been there was went back with her false nails and was helped almost immediately. I called to complain and was told they probably had appointments. If they did, I should have been told before I waited one hour it would be one hour. I could have left and come back. However, that was not the case today. It appears to me that just because I was only getting a $15 manicure they didn't care if I stayed or not. I thought it before about this place and I'll say it again. The people who spend megabucks in this place are treated much better than those who want a simple, cheap service. It not as if I don't tip well. a $5 tip for a 15 manicure is nothing to ignore. But I am really, really, tired of being treated as if I am a discarded potato chip because I choose not to get their fancy nails or pedicure every time I enter the place. I think I'll try Wal-Mart in Christiansburg. It's a further drive, but perhaps they don't play favorites. read more

First let me start by saying I very rarely complain because I work in the service industry myself and am generally pretty easy to please. However, this was Probably the worst pedicure of my entire life. The technician (Kevin) was quite obviously in a hurry and honestly pretty rude. I was bleeding within my first 5 minutes. I asked for the iridescent silver gel color and the tech tried rubbing the powder on and then said "this just doesn't look good pick something else." Which was fine, his skill level was below what I was asking for (not necessarily his fault). But then the poor service continued with him not even touching my feet during the "massage." The entire pedicure (including the time it took to soak off the gel that was previously on my toes) took less than a half hour. When I complained to the owner she offered me $5 off... so I ended up paying $35 for sincerely the worst pedicure of my life. Do not go here. Apart from the rude and rushed tech, the owner should have taken my complaint more seriously instead of brushing it off as another customer looking for a discount. I've been getting my nails done consistently (literally every 3 weeks) for over 6 years and have never had a worse experience in a salon. No, no, no, no ... did i mention no? HORRIBLE. Pricing is great and all but holy crap. My acrillics lasted 4 hours before they snapped in half. My friends nail polish chipped within the first hour. I also received an upper lip wax and they burned and ripped my skin off. The guy just said "just put ice on it when you get home".. HA, ok! Horrible, not clean and definitely not worth a penny. i got my eyebrows done a multiple times here but this time a guy did it and BURNED A WHOLE LAYER OF MY SKIN. they did absolutely nothing and i know that he saw that my skin was off yet he didnt even apologize. the worst place EVER. I really don't like to write negative reviews but this place is a health hazard. Kevin does nice work and if he moved salons I would go to Him again but, I let the woman who I believe is the owned (she has tattooed eyebrows and really noticeable plastic surgery) work on me and I got a fungus in my nail. I've never had one before and after consulting a dermatologist it was definitely from unsanitary nail equipment. I went back and the woman laughed and said sorry I couldn't please you. A friend of mine who used to go their old location in Roanoke had the same problem with them has helped me try to file a health report. Not many places in Radford with good nails salons and this is definitely one of the bad ones. I went in to get acrylic nails and to get my upper lip waxed. It didn't feel much of a friendly place they basically just try to do whatever service you request in the fastness manner which in my opinion is not always the best because it seems that everything is rushed . When I was finally letting my nails done the guy that was going to wax my upper rushed me without even checking if my nails were dry after I requested to get them checked and all he told me was hurry I need to go. I've been here 3 times. The first time was great. Second time a little less good. Third time, it was terrible. I've never been to a nail salon that does not include trimming your nails down in the price of the fill. But they charge 20 dollars for a fill, then an extra 3 dollars for your nails to get trimmed down .5 millimeters. Also my nails not even a week after getting them done were chipping off. The acrylic was so thin that it just snapped right off and cracked. read more

The first time the guy told my friend that he was going to grab her a different nail polish that would last longer, used the gel stuff and charged her an extra $10 for it. I have been there many, many times over the past several years. Overall, had been pleased. I went 2 days ago, after work, to get my nails done and everything seemed fine. Less than 24 hours later, one of my nails chipped badly. I called this morning to see if I could stop on my lunch break to have it repaired. I was told they were busy and to come at one. My lunch break is 12-1, I can't come at one. I also have plans this evening, so I can't come after work neither. I am not trying to sound like a difficult person, but after paying $ 60.00 for nails and an eyebrow wax, and tipping another $ 10.00, as well as traveling 30 minutes from where I live to get there every time...I would think they would like to repair their error on my time schedule. Instead, I got a "sorry for the inconvenience, have a nice day" and hung up on by the owner. Never again!!! My time is as valuable as yours!! Very upset at the attitude today...I have never complained until today, so I am not "one of those customers". They should have corrected the job, even if another walk-in had to wait. This place doesn't even deserve a star. I haven't been here in years, but today I was reminded why. Well, the lady was being kind, at first. She let me soak my nails for about ten minutes or so. Which made my nails smell horrible! I then had a guy start working on my nails. He must not have known much English because when I tried talking to him, he didn't respond accordingly, which was perfectly fine. He filed the beds of my nails and cut into my pinky. That hurt! (Hopefully I don't develop a fungal infection.)Then I was trying to tell the lady that my nails where growing crooked under my SNS and was asking if they could fix them. She then proceeded to tell the guy working on my nails that I "can't be pleased" and that I "need to go somewhere else?" Thanks Happy Nails for the free SNS removal. I decided to take my daughter in today with me because I needed a fill-in after having my nails done here a few weeks ago as a gift. I thought my daughter would enjoy some time out and getting her nails painted too. I was happy they were open on a holiday even though only one guy was working. He was working on a lady's nails when we went in and when he asked I told him I needed a fill in and my daughter wanted to have her nails done. At first, he told us to come back the next day. I told him we were going on vacation and at that point I should have left but he told us to go ahead and pick out colors and asked us to wait. When he took my daughter back, he was very friendly and talkative, but halfway through doing her nails a lady came in asking for a pedicure. He told her sure and asked if she could wait a few minutes. I then asked if he was going to do my fill-in and he said no. I told him I was very disappointed because we had waited patiently. While my daughter's nails were drying another lady came in asking for a pedicure and he took her business as well. My daughter asked why I was so upset and I told her in front of the other customer that he refused my business but was willing to take theirs and that it wasn't right so we would not be coming back. I had cash in hand ready to pay for both of us and tip in cash. I did not tip him because I was very disappointed in the lack of service. read more
