Every couple of years I give this place a chance to see if anything has changed because it is so closely located and every couple years I leave aggravated. They do a decent job on pedicures but for a gel manicure they paint one nail and get you to dry it while doing one nail on the other hand. When I asked a question about it the lady who was doing my nails huffed and spoke to one of her coworkers in her language and just let the other lady finish without any explanation. I don't understand how this place is always busy unless they get the owners who seem to be genuinely lovely. Everyone else seems to be super grumpy. Usually you want people to come back but not here. I walked in and asked for a full set. I showed him the photo and he immediately started talking about the difficulties of the design. So I chose something else. I informed him that I have oily nail beds and asked about nail dehydrator. He says he has it but proceeds to only use the nail bed prep. We get three nails on and he takes a 5 min call. Then had a convo with a guest. AND took four additional calls. He snatches my hands around - meaning he is rough. Lastly, some of my nails obviously don't have enough powder on them and instead of adding another bead, he just filed it down. I expect it to break within a week. The experience was unpleasant. I came here because my normal nail shop is closed today. This is a small place hidden in a publix plaza. My first impression of the salon is that is could be neater ( hence why I removed one star) Cleanliness is next to godliness in my eyes. I called in advance to make sure they would be availability for a gel manicure and pedicure. The cost is 45.00 and they took me right away. The older man doing my nails took a bit of time (2 hours) but he did a fantastic job. They have a good amount of gel colors to choose from. I think the lady that did my pedicure did a good job.. however, one of my feet kept twitching cus I have a problem that it twitches by itself.. she kept complaining and telling me not to move because she couldn't paint it if i moved.. I had to tell her multiple times that I wasn't doing it on purpose, and that I was sorry and that it was doing ny itself.. she kept complaining and being rude about it.. I asked if I can get a manicure and they said yes.. but another client that came in was getting a service more expensive than mine so she told the client to say that she had an appmnt so she can take her and not me.. she then said she couldn't do my manicure cus the customer that came in had an appmnt.. these ladies were very rude and unprofessional and very superficial.. only reason I gave a 2 was because the lady did a good job on my feet. I also wanted to leave a $3 tip and they said the minimum tip was $5.. they're such liars.. horrible customer service!! And thief's. So will never go there again! read more

I love this place, Tom is very good and kind. I love the spa pedicure by anyone, however Mimi is my favorite. I get the powder dip on my manicure and both Tom and Jimmy are great. My first time at this salon and it was very interesting I won't be back. I got a Acrylic fill with gel polish and Gel pedicure. First off they don't have much of a polish selection and use DND polish only they have no OPI. They don't make any appointments which means it's first come first serve but they are so busy that they don't know who came in because nobody uses the sign in sheet they do not look at it they just choose people at random which gets customers in arguments about who was there first with other customers who are waiting as well. The customer service is terrible the nail tech I got name was Lee. I know your not there to socialize but a simple hello would suffice. All he said was did you pick your color and it was silent the whole time which is fine with me but at least greet your customer especially if you see they are new first time going there. Overall the nails he did on me were good but the next week I noticed lifting of the acrylic which is not good. He did cut me a little with the drill because he does go super fast I was done in less than 30 mins. My toes were done with another gentleman I guess Lee doesn't do toes. They didn't come out how I liked and he used a cuticle cutter to cut my toe nails which I found odd. I could tell it's family owned and operated which most small nail shops are but they need to do better with the customer service. Now the biggest fear I had here was HYGENE. They do have bags for the pedicure bowls which is a must for me but they do not have throw away pumice rocks for your feet so they're using the same one on you on other peoples feet and do not sanitize their tools. I watched the employee use the same exact cuticle cutter, nail clippers, pumice rock, nail file, callus remover (cheese grater) etc on every customer he worked on. I did proceed cause I was half way in the pedicure and I noticed and didn't say anything because I don't like confrontation but I just won't return. I didn't see a sanitize cube but I did see a whole bunch of inventory, garbage, straw wrappers, candy wrappers, etc. laying around the floor along with nails, and old lashes. It looked like they hadn't mopped or wiped anything down in months it looked terrible and dirty in there. They should make people wash their hands when they come in. The massage chairs leather were all peeling some not working. I suggest them to put covers over the chairs because it looks very bad and uncomfortable to sit on. They also definitely need a cleaning lady to do all the sanitizing and sweeping and laundry or just to clean up as they go is the least they can do. I know they are rushing because again no appointments, but they need to do better. They are right across the street from the as known as the "ghetto" so I know the customers they get in are not super prim and not rich some even very rude and young /not home trained but regardless they should not let that ruin their shop image and their characteristics towards people. Be hygienic, Paint the walls, keep it clean tidy up, and work on customer service because at the end of the day without these paying customers they are nothing. read more

HOW in the world does this place have good reviews?! My Pedicure seat was all cracked and had a sign that asks you not to recline. Every nail polish I opened was old and lumpy. Two nail techs sat by my feet talking together the whole time in a language I dont speak though they both spoke english. The washcloth used on my legs was so hot I was bright red and it had what looked like coffee stains all over it. The nail tech lady practically yelled at me for one of my nails being too short (I stubbed my toe and broke it) and said she wouldnt be able to paint it. From the moment i walked in with my aunt they were very welcoming. We got seated right away. We booth needed mani/pedi. My nail tech Tran was amazing. Took her time and did an excellent job. My aunt's tech Kelli was amazing also. They were booth very nice and work very well. I dont live close by but I think I will be coming back here to get my nails done evey 2 weeks. read more

Tom is a wonderful owner! The staff is very friendly and welcoming and my nails always look great! I visit about every two weeks for a mani/pedi and there is never any issue getting a same day appointment (even though they are always busy!). Tom is very attentive and goes the extra mile for his customers. If there's ever an issue with my nails (if they get messed up accidentally before they dry, for example) Tom will fix it immediately and make sure it's perfect! He never lets customers leave unsatisfied! As a side note, I do hope the interior gets redecorated eventually so it looks fresh and not so outdated. A new array of nail polish colors would be beneficial, too (their nail polish wall is almost all shades of red, so I bring my own colors). My friend and I had appointments at Happy Nails and Salon today. They waited on my friend almost immediately. I sat there patiently waiting as more people stopped in. They decided to wait on 2 regulars who both came in after us. One of the regulars did not have an appointment. I left. I did not get my nails done. I will not be disrespected or disregarded just because I am a new face. I have been getting my nails done done since I'm 15 and I'm 45,Seriously ; ( read whole paragraph ; worth it) this has been the worst experience of a mani-pedi ..... first off I get there and there's , two girls working (Friday 3:00) ya think you'd be staffed ... a much much older lady folding laundry who they seem to use on reserve .., and warn you that if you go with her it will take a while .. omg she started me bc I said ok bc that's all they had available .... she started and within 5 mins I said I would wait for another person bc she seriously was pretending to manicure my skin but was " clipping the air" I can't make this stuff up ! Then they had a non-English conversation ( which wasn't hard to figure out) So the owner or / slash male manager/ I think "Tom" , started doing my nails ... and said the other girl would finish ... long story short he was CLUELESS as to the basic routine or sequence of a pedicure ... he seriously thought he was finished within about 2-3 quick steps I said " I was gardening , you don't see what's still in my nail " he said no ... I seriously got it myself ... and he says oh ... I can't do your mani/ set bc you broke the corner of your nail and it looks bad on me ! ARE U KIDDING me ..... I said that's bc I'm sitting up on the chair.... and then called my husband to take me to another place ... I offered him money for the 30 sec's he acted like he new what he was doing and told him instead of bossing all the girls around he should learn how to do nails! And walked out...... I have never had this experience and have to say this was a foreigner who spoke little english and had zero business educate ... the girls are probably indentured servants and there's probably happy endings with the right code word ... true customers beware !!! My 1rst and last time here!!! Ugh... if I could give zero stars I would !! Ps... I'm considered a Minority but don't expect to be treat like this !!! Ps.
