I recently came across a TikTok of a service provider who works independently and I liked the style of the manicure and wanted to see how much Chic Nail charged for it, the young lady who answered said for full set it is X price. So to clarify as I am not always sure about lingo I clarified it would be on my natural nail. Omg her condescending tone and that drag of her words were so insulting. Why assume everyone understands the lingo? Wouldn't this be an appropriate time to educate and ensure a trusted and repeat customer understands the service ? When I said to her I just wanted to clarify she was like "okaaaaayyyyyyyy". I have to laugh because like okay girl, that's the attitude you have? I'll go to the independent artist who was so nice and responsive and clear with educating me on the options. I love Taylor and Rose but that was a no no encounter for me. I made an appointment and was immediately taken back and helped. I asked if they had a certain color and they looked for it, but didn't end up having it. They helped me find an equivalent color, and it ended up being so good. Lindsey did my hands and toes and killed it. She was personable and we talked the whole time which was nice. She made sure I liked my nails every step of the way, and would tweak whatever was needed. She took her time and was super detailed oriented. Even the girls sitting next to me kept complimenting my nails. The place was super clean and they even offer complimentary coffee and water. They also have bathrooms. I feel like I have finally found one . This has been my 5th visit (3rd with the nail tech Katy) and I cannot say enough about this salon. Everyone that has done my nails has impressed me with how long they last! I work in healthcare and wash my hands constantly throughout the day! I decided to stick with Katy because she knows how to do the poly gel technique. Poly gel combines the durability of acrylic with the flexibility of gel. It gives a super long lasting manicure that is less damaging to the natural nails than gel or dip. You can walk in or book an appointment. I chose a simple color, as always, with no embellishments. Salon is clean, as were the tools and equipment. I desperately needed the massage chair, and I made full use of it during my service. Cindy was thorough - my nails were evenly clipped, cuticles trimmed, and the massage was strong. She did a great job with the paint; no bare spots on my nails and no polish on my skin.
