I decided to call later to ask for a refund, and meanwhile I started eating the carne asada... it was extremely dry and almost burnt. Since it was so dry, I took a sip of my beet and celery juice, only to realize it had orange and carrot in it instead, and the oranges tasted kind of rancid. So I called the restaurant to explain what happened with my guacamole and ask for my money back. While thinking about everything, it crossed my mind that I hadn't left a tip. I started wondering if maybe that was why everything went wrong. Right now I'm on disability because I'm undergoing cancer treatment and I'm unable to work, so financially things are not easy for me. Long story short, I spoke with a woman on the phone and all she said was, "Okay, you'll receive your refund in three days." What stayed with me the most was that there was no apology or empathy at all. It honestly left me feeling disappointed, and that's not okay. As a customer, especially during such a difficult time in my life, I expected at least some kindness and understanding.
