I would strongly recommend this for age 7 - 10 though smaller ones are able to come along too, height restrictions do apply to certain parts of the adventure courses, so to avoid disappointed I would recommend you go onto their website and check first. This place is all about fun and fitness for the whole family. They have a massive high wire forest adventure course; which is set within the countryside and developed to encourage you to get moving, and trust me by the end you the adventure a good cuppa and sleep is what you'll need, though if it is for the family then keeping the kids active by getting them tired then Jungle Parc is the place to bring them. It is a very safe environment and with all the proper equipment it is very enjoyable. The X-plorer course is for anyone over 1.35m in height and the Adventurer course is for children from 4 years old and with minimum height of 1.05m. The Jungle Parc is situated in Croxteth Country Park which is only 10 minutes from the city centre.

The premises consists of two different courses: X-Plorer course and Adventurer course (for the little ones). Each course is ideally designed with a practical element, almost like an assault course but with the fun involved. There are 40 amazing activities to enjoy as you glide through trees on rope bridges, zip lines and cargo! It definitely sounds exciting as it really is. Adults are just £20 and Juniors £15. Well we're to begin, as I said I always used this family ran aquatics until they moved I then had the joy of dealing with dobbies and pets at home, which is ok if you like paying through the nose for dull fish and pretty rubbish advise I was thrilled when I saw the sign at the side of the road for a new aquarium and was pleasantly surprised when it was the guys from my old shop...ace so stocked up my tank with beautiful fish and yea I know everyone slates guppies but there my favourite and they have like 15 different types, loads of tetras and random stuff I don't even know of, their expanding the shop soon they say and I can't wait about another 50 odd tanks so the place will have tons of different varieties to choose from, don't be put off by my comments if you like unusual fish and hate guppies lol there loads of weird and wonderful stuff and really colourful cichlids, discus, arrowana, rasbora, Angels and their cold water fish are stunning big fat bubble head goldfish...amazing so I'm going to set up another big tank from them and have fancy goldfish, there so reasonable you have to visit and get something for your tank. Going to take my dad in for some koi carp as he says everywhere else for pond fish In liverpool is over prised and they never last, he's made up the guys from hillfoot aquaria are still going strong and looking forward to getting some big koi. Windmill Animal Farm is fab for kids. I don't have kids but didn't have much trouble finding some -…read moremy friend desperately needed a day off. Problem solved. So off we go, it was a Saturday and gorgeous weather. So, we were hoping that it wouldn't be too busy given it was a Saturday and not raining. Well we weren't disappointed, although fairly busy, the farm staff were well organised and kept all us all in check. The kids and I started off on the steam train, with the idea that we would get a good idea of where everything was from the ride (well this is what I thought), the kids were more concerned with just going on a train. Half way around we stopped off at the Lake View and the kids played while I chilled out and absorbed the view. After that we got back on the train and finished the journey. The farm has some pedal tractors that kids use to go around the farm on. They looked great fun to me, but I had so much trouble convincing my friends kids that they should try them too. So after much convincing and no way forward, I gave up and instead they went off to the Children's Pet Area where they got to feed and play with the animals. A great day out and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.

First off when you arrive parking is easy enough with plenty of space. Entry is £6 for adults (£7.50 for kids, and there's family ticket and concessions too). It's £1 for three bags of food (which is well worth it!) There's a small café as well as plenty of picnic benches near the entrance along with a kids playground. Just before the barn, quite often they have birds of prey in or creepy crawlies, both of which have been there on previous trips and you're allowed to get hands on. In the farm itself you can see pigs, donkeys, deer, llamas, alpacas, horse, cows, goats and all the sheep! New this year were also wallabies. They have lamb feeding at set times that you can get involved in too. They've also grown a maze made out of maize which is good fun. Finally there's a small train that you can jump on if your little ones are a bit tired!

Not at all impressed by our visit to Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park today. We took our 5 month…read moreold baby but will not be returning. When we paid we were asked if we had brought a padlock - puzzled, I replied no, why? Apparently now you need to bring a padlock if you want to be able to use a locker in the changing rooms. If not, you have to come out of the changing rooms in your sopping wet swimming stuff, juggling baby, to retrieve your things from the lockers in the main foyer. In addition, the keys for the lockers in the foyer do not have any wristbands on, so what you're meant to do with them is beyond us; we were told we could hand them to the lifeguard but seeing as we couldn't find the same lifeguard twice we thought that adding searching for them to get our key when we left wasn't really something we wanted to be doing, so we opted to tie the key onto my partners swim shorts. I asked if there was a safe place we could leave the pram and was told we could leave it in the cleaning cupboard. Grateful that the young lady was trying to be helpful but surely a new facility such as this should have something better than a cleaning cupboard for people to leave prams? In the end we couldn't find the young lady again to ask her to put the pram in the cupboard so we had to leave it in our view in the changing rooms at the side of the pool. Normally we wouldn't be bothered about it being in our view but seeing as they already seem to have had some sort of security issue with the lockers (the only reason we can think of for them asking people to bring their own padlocks), we didn't want to leave it to chance. Prams are expensive. Scallies are the reason we can't have nice things folks! In the changing rooms it took us a little while to figure out where the baby change facilities were. They are inside some changing cubicles but not very obvious (especially if all are being currently used and you can't see inside). It's quite a squeeze inside, especially with pram and two adults. The changing table itself was disgusting, it looked like it hadn't had a good clean since the place opened. The pool itself was good, much improved on the disgusting old Huyton Leisure, but we didn't get much time in there - we got in at 12:10 and at 12:30 we were told it was closing and we had to get out! Nobody at the front desk had informed us of this when we arrived, so all the effort we had gone to to get out with the baby, get all three of us changed and into the pool felt like a massive waste of time. Really not impressed. We were given a refund, but only once we could find the receipt; so make sure you keep your receipt people, you may not be impressed, and at £4 a swim that's not what you would expect!

They also have themed activities which you can find out about on the website. There is also a cafe serving a wide range of healthy food, so you don't have to worry about all the E numbers your kid has taken in! It's a great place to host a birthday party too, the staff are really helpful and take the stress out of the organisation. The other great thing about this place is it doesn't cost an arm and a leg for the whole family to have a day out. A group of 4 is £20 at peak times, or a single child ranges from £4.50 to £5.95.

I don't know whether I am just badly informed but I have never come across such a fun place for kids to learn and play. There is so much to do and all so very varied. There are six zones, including the physical zone, art zone, sensary zone etc. The staff are pretty great and spend time interacting with the children. I don't remember there being places like this when I was 2! Highlights and favourites for me and the kids were - Mr Ben's fancy dress shop, the poochi parlour where you can mend and fix poorly dogs, the Pizzeria where the kids get to run their own restaurant, be the chef or waiter. With the summer holidays coming, this is definitely a great place for the kids!
