I would strongly recommend this for age 7 - 10 though smaller ones are able to come along too, height restrictions do apply to certain parts of the adventure courses, so to avoid disappointed I would recommend you go onto their website and check first. This place is all about fun and fitness for the whole family. They have a massive high wire forest adventure course; which is set within the countryside and developed to encourage you to get moving, and trust me by the end you the adventure a good cuppa and sleep is what you'll need, though if it is for the family then keeping the kids active by getting them tired then Jungle Parc is the place to bring them. It is a very safe environment and with all the proper equipment it is very enjoyable. The X-plorer course is for anyone over 1.35m in height and the Adventurer course is for children from 4 years old and with minimum height of 1.05m. The Jungle Parc is situated in Croxteth Country Park which is only 10 minutes from the city centre.

The premises consists of two different courses: X-Plorer course and Adventurer course (for the little ones). Each course is ideally designed with a practical element, almost like an assault course but with the fun involved. There are 40 amazing activities to enjoy as you glide through trees on rope bridges, zip lines and cargo! It definitely sounds exciting as it really is. Adults are just £20 and Juniors £15. Prices include full training and all equipment to make sure you are fully prepared and safe. Not bad at all for an adventourous day in jungle like surroundings.

Especially when you look through the floor/net to see the floor of the cavern a long long way down. The only thing missing was some music to jump to. This is the only one of its kind in the world apparently so pretty special. It's a really hard workout too, even the regular exercisers needed a few sit downs! You keep getting up again though as it's so much fun! We kept falling over all the time as it's quite hard to keep your balance, I don't know how some people were playing rugby! Helmets and boiler suit were a good idea although it all got a bit sweaty. I went with a group of 10 and only 1 person didn't enjoy it, so pretty good odds. The person that didn't like it has a real fear of heights and didn't really enjoy the bouncing much either. I do have a bit of a fear of heights too and am also slightly claustrophobic but I definitely enjoyed it. I did struggle a bit with the netting slides but once done they're fine :) One of my friends did say though that some people were coming down the climbing up chutes as that's the only option apart from the slides to get back back down. A less daunting third option would be good please!

For £25 you get an hour's trampolining, bouncing from cavern to cavern, climbing up ladders and snaking down tubular slides from level to level. Make sure you have trainers on and some light clothing too, as you'll get so hot with all the bouncing about. Safety helmets (and attractive hairnets) are compulsory and the safety briefing is pretty comprehensive too. The age range in there is brilliant - grandparents bouncing alongside kids. If you want to make a day of it, there's plenty of other activities on site too - from Europe's tallest zip wire, to a quarry explorer 4x4 trip. Café on site too - predictably on the pricey side but clean and roomy. Definitely worth a visit!

I accidentally came across this review last week, whilst searching forprices for a forthcoming birthday party we intend to have at Happy Hours. I visit there fairly regularly, being a registered child minder with myown four year old son and three other children ranging from two to fouryears of age. I originally found it via netmums.com and have been attending for abouttwelve months now. I've seen the 'so-called' hoodies popping in and out to order toastedsandwiches. They are so intimidating that the have actually folded up andcarried in a twin push chair which I use for the two year old kids. They've done this on two occasions. They may be hoodies, but I don't feelthreatened by local youngsters who come, most likely, from normalfamilies. It's not a gangland uniform, after all, for the majority of bigkids and even some adults, it's just convenient weather-proof clothing,(MUCH NEEDED THIS SUMMER!!). I consider that it's most unfair to describe the place as dirty, or thetoys as grubby. It is obviously showing signs of usage. I understand ithas been operating for over ten years and its condition is still, in myview, quite satisfactory. Also, the fabric covers on some of the ride-ontoys are often soiled (No, not with that - just dribbles and generalcontact with kids clothing and dirty fingers). However I have noticedstaff removing covers and replacing them with others, which indicates thatthey are obviously laundered from time to time. I cannot understand the comments regarding the toilets because I amcertain (CHECKED YESTERDAY for my own satisfaction before leaving thisentry) there are two separate toilet areas for boys and girls (men andwomen). They are both accessed through a common entrance and both haveouter and inner doors and separate washing facilities. Furthermore, on novisit have I ever noticed a missing toilet seat. I did spot yesterdaythat a plug was missing from the sink in the boys hand basin. I mentionedthis to Sharon, who works there and she said she would get the boss to seeto it. The steps to the ball pool are a little steep, but not high, only aroundtwo feet or thereabouts, so with a little parental assistance the smallestof kids can cope with them. Even if they do take a tumble, it would be noworse than a minor fall at home, whilst clambering around. The only complementary comments regarding the food area and staff, I agreewith. However, it is noticeable that the reviewer's comments regardingcleanliness of the former seem to be rather begrudged, as if she wouldhave liked more time to have managed to find some fault with that. I'll be continuing to go to Happy Hours, but may easily have been put-offby this review. I'm glad I didn't see it first.

During the recent regeneration of the park ,over 50 species of trees and shrubs were planted to provide year-round colour, paths were resurfaced, the Victorian pavilions and bandstand resurrected and the magnificent Gladstone Conservatory salvaged and restored. As well as this the children's play area was revived and lighting and security systems installed. This…read morepark does not look much from the outside when you're viewing from the main road at its enclosed gates. However, upon first impression I caught a glimpse of the park's beauty almost instantly. There is plenty of trees and foliage around that provides a cool shade, plus many benches for you to take a rest bite. Moreover, I was delighted to see the lake inhabited by many species of birds and ducks. On the other hand, it was failry clear that the lake was infested with litter and appeared filthy with murk. Incredible how wildlife lives there. On the more positive side, there are beautiful overhead walking bridges that take you from the Everton side of the lake (Yaay!) to the Liverpool side (Booo!). Further down the park is a glass house called Isla Gladstone Conservatory and a children's playing area with several obstacles to keep the kids occupied. The Conservatory (as Tina has already mentioned) has been revived and always worth a visit whilst you're at the park. Stanley Park is a pleasant getaway from the busy traffic that surrounds. It has many lovely features that you shouldn't miss.

So off we go, it was a Saturday and gorgeous weather. So, we were hoping that it wouldn't be too busy given it was a Saturday and not raining. Well we weren't disappointed, although fairly busy, the farm staff were well organised and kept all us all in check. The kids and I started off on the steam train, with the idea that we would get a good idea of where everything was from the ride (well this is what I thought), the kids were more concerned with just going on a train. Half way around we stopped off at the Lake View and the kids played while I chilled out and absorbed the view. After that we got back on the train and finished the journey. The farm has some pedal tractors that kids use to go around the farm on. They looked great fun to me, but I had so much trouble convincing my friends kids that they should try them too. So after much convincing and no way forward, I gave up and instead they went off to the Children's Pet Area where they got to feed and play with the animals. A great day out and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.

First off when you arrive parking is easy enough with plenty of space. Entry is £6 for adults (£7.50 for kids, and there's family ticket and concessions too). It's £1 for three bags of food (which is well worth it!) There's a small café as well as plenty of picnic benches near the entrance along with a kids playground. Just before the barn, quite often they have birds of prey in or creepy crawlies, both of which have been there on previous trips and you're allowed to get hands on. In the farm itself you can see pigs, donkeys, deer, llamas, alpacas, horse, cows, goats and all the sheep! New this year were also wallabies. They have lamb feeding at set times that you can get involved in too. They've also grown a maze made out of maize which is good fun. Finally there's a small train that you can jump on if your little ones are a bit tired!

Now when we're up visiting family…read moreit's where I take the nephews as there's so much to do here (as long as it isn't raining - Wacky Warehouse further down the promenade is our go-to place for those days). In recent years it's had a major refurb with new facilities (which was long overdue). So alongside the historically well-maintained flowerbeds and woodland walks, there's a great crazy golf course (the old one was well past its best), swing boats, a play area for younger children, trampolines, merry-go-round, tennis and basketball courts, aqua play area, miniature train and a large 'natural' adventure playground. There's a cafe near the crazy golf which sells Lewis's Ice Cream which is fantastic. A lovely place for a stroll on a nice day, with lots of different activities for the nippers (just remember to bring a pocket-full of pound coins - they'll want a go on everything!).

The best aquarium for freshwater fish I've been in a long time, I used to go to the hillfoot shop…read morethen the disappeared but they've just moved onto a industrial estate which is great for me as I work just round the corner and it's so much easier to park. Well we're to begin, as I said I always used this family ran aquatics until they moved I then had the joy of dealing with dobbies and pets at home, which is ok if you like paying through the nose for dull fish and pretty rubbish advise I was thrilled when I saw the sign at the side of the road for a new aquarium and was pleasantly surprised when it was the guys from my old shop...ace so stocked up my tank with beautiful fish and yea I know everyone slates guppies but there my favourite and they have like 15 different types, loads of tetras and random stuff I don't even know of, their expanding the shop soon they say and I can't wait about another 50 odd tanks so the place will have tons of different varieties to choose from, don't be put off by my comments if you like unusual fish and hate guppies lol there loads of weird and wonderful stuff and really colourful cichlids, discus, arrowana, rasbora, Angels and their cold water fish are stunning big fat bubble head goldfish...amazing so I'm going to set up another big tank from them and have fancy goldfish, there so reasonable you have to visit and get something for your tank. Going to take my dad in for some koi carp as he says everywhere else for pond fish In liverpool is over prised and they never last, he's made up the guys from hillfoot aquaria are still going strong and looking forward to getting some big koi. This is one of the best childrens playcentres in liverpool if not the uk.It has a very large play…read morecentre and a large area for parents to sit and watch it even has cctv around the far area of the play area so you can always keep an eye on your children.Timeout also serve a large variety of hot and cold food and drink.Timeout also caters for birthday partys for children with a themed character who will come in and entertain the children.The areas are always well maintained and tidy with staff members coming around and cleaning tables every 10 minutes or so.I would give this place a 9/10 excellent for children
