While we were there, we noticed a line forming nearby and decided to check it out. To our surprise (and my granddaughter's absolute excitement), it was HobbyTown doing a NeeDoh drop at 10am! The line kept growing and at 28 degrees we were freezing, but there was no way we were giving up our spot. Thankfully, the owner opened a little early and everything was very well organized. They limited purchases to two per person, and since we were third in line, we had time to pick exactly what we wanted. Such kind owners and a great experience overall. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the store.

I took my 9 year old nephew who is currently in a wheelchair for something fun to do during spring break. The lady at the counter (Sarah) who is also the manager is extremely friendly and helpful she explained how the rental process works and said it would be 30-40 min till it would be ready But we were able to look at the track, While we were there we talked to Matt? i believe who was just as helpful and friendly with everything. We left and came back a short time later to try his luck on the course. He did pretty well, but eventually the 1 R/C car broke, the lady was fine about it and said not to worry, we went back and watched the others race. We came back into the showroom to find the truck fixed and charged she asked if he was ready to go back out. so he did, a little while later the truck broke again but Kyle was quick to help fix the truck and get him back going, he played abit longer till the battery started to die and we called it a day. He had a ton of fun and is wanting a R/C car of his own now! Thanks again for the great day.

More helpful than any hobby store I have ever been to. Their selection is not quite as big as some stores but the value and pricing is good so I will often order items from them if they do not have them in stock. Not to say their selection is not good. In fact, they have a large variety of used HO scale buildings and train cars for sale more than any hobby shop I have been too. I am always appreciative of them and their ability to answer many questions.

ONLINE BUYERS BEWARE. I ordered parts with Laurie waited a few weeks and never received the items…read more I called her and she said she did not know whether or not they have been shipped out to wait a few more days. What an answer. I waited another week and the items had not arrived. I called her again and she had the same response. At that point i assumed she didn't want to sell the items and she was never going to send them. Two weeks after that i received the items. They were post marked three days prior. I bought two of bs55 one of the packages has the bolts rusted and the aluminum washers eaten up with corrosion. I called her and she said they will clean up with oil. I told her you could not clean up the washers due to them being aluminum and had been eaten up with the corrosion and the bolts finish would be damage. her response was i can get washers anywhere. I told her i was using them for a restoration and needed to be original. If i wanted to replace them with just any washer or bolt then why did I ordered them from her. With an attitude she said to return them. Know i have to spend money to send them back. WOW . I attached pictures of corroded and non corroded package. This would not be a big issue but her attitude is horrible..

It's been a few years, decades really, that I've glued together a model car kit, so I figured there would be no problem putting together Walther's plastic Plate Girder bridge and their single-track Truss bridge. Wrong, wrong, wrong. They use the cheapest plastic possible and the way they fit together......what a FRICKING joke! Their instruction sheet might as well be in Chinese (which is where this s__t is made anyway) for as useless as it is. I'm sorry I ever bought anything made by Walthers that wasn't a train. Unfortunately, I've found that in the model train industry, nobody wants to let you return anything without a re-stock fee, even my local retail train store. So, I guess I'm stuck making do. Almost the whole shop is back-issue comics and magazines, mostly bronze and modern age, plus a decent selection of new graphic novels and trades, old sci-fi / fantasy paperbacks, and some other collectibles. I knocked more items off my want list here than anywhere around the country in recent memory. Prices IMHO range from low to a bit high, so more than fair in the aggregate. Easy to browse despite the small space. Prices clearly marked. Easy parking. For the type of shop this is (the type I like most!), legitimately great.
