Firstly, I called her. The amount of advice she gave me simply as a concerned pup parent was probably worth a few hundred bucks. Honestly. She shared with me because she was concerned. This is the mark of someone who really loves what she does, and shows dogs as her priority, not money. She came over, took care of my concerns, stayed for 30 minutes longer than the consultation I was paying for because I had concerns, and she never once said a word about the time, the money, nothing. Again, she listened because she felt she should. She is goddamn amazing, thorough, and professional. A+. Use this trainer.

As a five year old shelter dog, he had learned to become very scared when he was left alone and as a result started barking and did not stop until I came home. I tried to smooth things over with the neighbor to no avail, and in desperation called Lisa after reading her yelp reviews. She called me back immediately, and ever since then has been incredibly supportive and provided wonderful ideas, professional suggestions that I would not have thought about. Her commitment to dogs is clear, and she has always been available via email or phone. She was excellent with my dog who is sometimes shy or fearful and she made him feel at ease. More than positive reinforcement for dogs, Lisa is all about positive reinforcement for people. Often dog owners are blinded by their love for their dogs, and when confronted with a difficult situation of seperation anxiety in a pet, it becomes hard to think rationally if dealing w/ non-dog lovers... Lisa always provided the support and honesty needed for the training I've been working on w/ my dog, and I'm happy to report that he's doing MUCH better now! Thanks Lisa!!

Our 10-month-old maltipoo, Sarah, had her first session at our home where Polina took the time to understand our setup and answer all our questions about how to get started. We also appreciated the follow-up Zoom sessions, which were convenient and surprisingly effective for both Q&A and virtual training. We plan to continue working with Polina as Sarah learns more commands and as we gain a better understanding of her behavior. We've already recommended Polina to friends and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated and effective dog trainer. Thank you Polina!!!

We learned how to incorporate tools like the e-collar and prong collar correctly and humanely as part of a balanced training program. I really appreciated the direct, no-nonsense communication style. He gives you the facts and the fixes without sugarcoating, which is exactly what we needed. We now have a dog that we can trust off-leash even in distracting environments. The best testament to the training was seeing our GSD maintain his recall and stay by our side, even when the other dogs he was hanging out with ignored their owners and ran off to cause chaos. If you want real-world results and a trainer who tells it like it is, I highly recommend Mike.

Daphne has greatly improved on our walks and she no longer pulls us or barks when she sees other dogs and strangers with the techniques that Lena taught us. Lena is very responsive on text/emails and always kept us updated during Daphne's board and train. We're so happy that we found Lena and will definitely keep coming back to her when Daphne needs a refresher or when we plan to go on long trips. Plus Daphne loves her dog Diesel! Before meeting Stacey, I was stitching together lessons I found online and in books and was always unsure if I was training the behavior correctly. What I found enormously helpful was having Stacey critique my technique in real-time when training my dog, which is something you simply can't get from watching Youtube videos. She really helped me understand some of the nuances around positive, rewards-based training that I was missing such as timing, how to deliver the reward, how to avoid simply luring your dog, and most importantly, the power of rewarding your dog when they offer default good behavior. Our dog improved by leaps and bounds over the 5 weeks we worked together. I definitely feel much more confident training my dog after my sessions with Stacey. For those concerned about COVID, all of our sessions were outdoors (either in a driveway or public park) with everyone wearing masks the entire time.

Also I really appreciate the way she works with the people in the class, helping them to have fun with their dogs while also being disciplined. In fact, this discipline is one of the characteristics that I most appreciate about Stacey. She used a 100% positive reinforcement training approach that I personally really appreciate. At the same time, she helped me understand the discipline that I needed to apply in my training. That is positive reinforcement is fantastic, but consistency is incredibly important to make sure our dog was learning. One of things I loved most about Stacey's approach was the balance between talking about behavior and actually working with the dogs. We were really able to move quickly and cover a ton of material in every session. Not only was my dog tired after each session, but so was I; as we had gone through so many different items. At the same time, she took the time to explain everything with an incredible depth of knowledge. I've worked with over a dozen dog trainers with my last 2 dogs and in general most of these have been excellent. Even among this amazing group of people I've worked with over the years, Stacey is the best I've seen!

She also crate trained him in a way that felt calm, structured, and positive, and the results have absolutely stuck. What makes Irini so special is not only how skilled she is with dogs, but how clearly she teaches the owners too. She gave us practical tools, personalized guidance, and a plan that actually fit our puppy and our daily routine, which made everything feel doable and sustainable. She went so far above and beyond by taking him over the holidays and New Year's, and she treated him like her own. Little did I know that cuteness overload comes with a lot of responsibility and struggles, especially since I live alone, and have never had a pet in my life. In fact, as a kid, I was extremely scared of dogs! I knew I had to get a trainer when after the 2nd week, I started feeling overwhelmed with my puppy's energy and tantrums. Thankfully I found Diane! She has been a great mentor if I could use this word to guide me through my pup training journey. We had two formal sessions - 1st one was a 3 hour phone call where she patiently answered all my questions and gave me 100s of tools and things to buy and learn to build a "puppy training toolkit". The 2nd session was a 3 hour in person training session where she introduced training collar and other tools and showed me how to stop certain behaviors. The best thing is that Diane has been kind enough to answer stupid and repeated questions from me over text or phone at any time of the day. If I've felt overwhelmed, I've always had comfort to know that I have a personal counsellor/mentor available. Diane shared a lot of tools, tricks, and methods - most of them work great, some don't - some do, but not always - but that is just because each dog is different and each dog-parent relationship is unique. I am just glad to have all those tools and information available to tap into whenever I run into any challenge. I feel super confident in my puppy's training and the fact that I have all I need to train my puppy well, thanks to Diane! My puppy Zoya has been sleeping safe and sound in her crate from day 1, and sleeping all night from the moment I reached out to Diane. Zoya is fully potty trained, and walks on leash like a confident yet obedient queen! Diane is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviors, illnesses, eating habits, and tantrums - and I always reach out to her first, before I reach out to my vet! She walked us through what to do when our puppy was misbehaving and incorporates a firm, yet loving technique so the dog knows who is boss. Puppies test your patience and Diane truly is our advocate in learning how to not only redirect his actions but build confidence in being first time dog owners.
