Went in there to get a pair of work shoes yesterday morning and the lady who was working was helping another customer I stood close by so she knew I needed assistance next but didn't wanna be too close in the space the worker looked right at me walked past me walked all the way across the other side of the store and asked the other customer who had already been in the store and they clearly didn't need help she asked them if they needed assistance they said no. Still wasn't acknowledged so I walked over there and said hey well I need a pair of work shoes her tone was just kinda rude and didn't really seem interested in helping so I walked out. This place seems to uphold this type of reputation do better. Never had this type of experience before anywhere or at any show place for that matter. I bought sandals on Thursday & paid full price. I looked online either Thursday night or Friday and they were $70 less. I called today to ask if they would refund the difference and was told "no". He told me I could just buy them online. He wouldn't sell them for less than I had paid. In the next breath he said he would have known if they were on sale because it would have automatically updated in the system. But I can't come in, return the shoes & get them at sales price? "No". I was the easiest customer they were going to have. All they had to do was acknowledge that I was in the store. They did not. The one person work was following a husband, his wife and two kids. He stuck to them like glue even AFTER the clerk was told they were not buying anything. I tried to get his attention, but I was clearly not a priority. Great service... I called ahead in search of a particular item and size which they had. The item was set aside and ready for me when I arrived. They do not have socks to try on shoes(only the very thin stocking peds) so if you are looking to wear socks with your desired item you may want to bri g some with you to try on shoes with. I visited the main st. Sarasota, Fl. store today. This was not my first or even third visit to this store. I went in today needing new inserts for my work shoes. I walked into the store and was greeted by an associate. I was the only customer in the store. She asked how she could help me and I explained to her I need inserts and would like my foot scanned. As the associate was setting the machine, a customer.walks in and says. "Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt but I can't find a parking spot, I'm double parked and I don't want a ticket" meanwhile she is taking her shoe off. She hands the shoe to the associate and says "I need 3 sets of insoles. I'm in a hurry" The sales associate starts to walk to the back and looks at me and says "I hope you don't mind" I responded "I don't think I was given a choice" the associate responds "I don't think I was either" I said... "But you were," the sales associate continued to the back of the store and I left. I feel as if this was discrimination. Next time I need inserts, I'll be sure to get dressed up, wear all my jewels and double park my Lincoln at the door to get service... I have been dealing with severe pain in my right foot under my big toe for over a year and every single day it would throb non stop. My doctor suggested going to Happy Feet Plus and I am so thankful he did. I was greeted by Nathan who was super helpful and knowledgeable. Nathan really cares about helping his customers, he helped me find the right slip in sole I needed for my work shoes. Working as a cook I am on my feet 7-10 hours a day, when I put the slip in sole into my work crocs it was a whole new shoe practically. I couldn't Believe the support I was getting in my feet that I needed. He also suggested that I try the kenkoh sandals and holy cow they work amazing wonders to your feet. My feet are happy again! I arrived in Sarasota for a weeks break from the Midwest freezer. (It was 10 below the week we left) I had been struggling with plantar fasciitis for a few weeks and I seriously had only one pair of shoes in which I could even walk without severe pain. The store was busy when I walked in but within 10 minutes John was available to help me. I challenged him to make my feet happy and within 20 minutes he had found 3 pairs of shoes that were exactly what I needed. He was well informed and very helpful. I placed on order online for inserts because I am an essential worker and I have spent a ridiculous amount of time on my feet due to the demands of the pandemic. When I placed my order I never received an email from Happy feet to confirm that my order was placed but my credit card was charged immediately. After 2 weeks I still had not received my order, I called and initially was brushed off, told that it takes up to 10 business days before an item is even shipped. I call back after 3 weeks with no package, and was told my order was placed 1 week after they already charged me and that it should arrive in an additional week or 2. And of course there still was not a tracking number or any shipment information available. This was my first and last order, do not recommend. read more

I was in the store today at noon 2/5/21 I asked the woman working there to please look up the insert I got the last time. She told me. She then asked "can I get it for you" I told her "no I would get it myself" She followed me anyway. She was then right up against me in spite of my telling her to stop not once but twice more. Finally I left the store. All I wanted was for her to keep her distance. I also work with the public and I respectfully stay 6 feet away as is what is suggested of us. I had high hopes for these massaging sandals because of my plantar fasciitis but the arch is so high I can't tolerate them for even a minute. Maybe that works for others but my doctor actually told me not to use high arches. Misleading free shipping and returns policy also. They are charging me to return these very high priced shoes when I understood the policy to include free returns and exchanges. I bought 2 pairs on the Kenkoh Sandals, one for me and one for my boyfriend; at first I thought they were to painful to wear, but we both got use to them and love them now. I also bought a pair of Ecco Sandals, that I wear indoors, I wear them instead of slippers; I love em! And lastly I bought a pair of Brook sneakers (Addiction Walker), with the Aetrex insoles, they are wicked comfortable. People here are very nice and they do sell quality if pricy products. My wife has purchased a couple pair of sandals and claims they are both comfortable and stylish. I purchased a pair of the Kenkoh sandals and while they are well made, I just cannot wear them. My advice is avoid the hype for these but if you just have to have them find out what the return policy is. I have had two TKR and hoped these would be of use but for me wearing them exacerbated the pain. For some reason the owners are frequent guests on the Tampa Bay produced show Daytime where they really hawk these sandals. Sort of a surprise to me as the "interviews" seem nothing more than a free commercial, but I digress. Again, I would get reassurance on the return policy. Recently, on a vacation to Florida, we brought in our dear friend, who is 99 years young, to purchase a pair of comfortable shoes. Happy Feet had been recommended to her by friends, who were very pleased with their new shoes. Shopping for shoes, especially for the elderly, can be stressful, but from the moment we walked in we were treated with the utmost respect and care. The staff, especially Beverly, were extremely helpful in deciding the best shoe for my friend's needs. Beverly scanned her feet and made recommendations, and explained how the shoe was best suited to her feet. Also, my husband ended up buying inserts, which he used for the rest f our vacation and said his feet never felt better, even after a long day at Disney. Very satisfied! Ok, having suffered with plantar factious for almost a year and not been able to get it under control finally bit the bullet and was on the hunt for Birkenstock that I swore I would never wear. I stopped in this past Monday and Don, may be the owner was quiet helpful. He sold me a pair of the original Birkies, and not a more expensive one and also suggested that since I would not be wearing them out than think about Birkie insoles for my other shoes. I originally had the Aertex, which seemed to work for a while but broke down quickly. He also mentioned to me the Kenkoh sandles, well I was hesitant, at $99 a pair was not sure but then I looked at the poster on the wall and all the things these shoes are suppose to help I deceided to give them a try. Ok the first day I went barefoot in them and that lasted 15 minutes. Put them on later with thin socks and that lasted about an hour, later I tried them with thicker socks and was able to keep them on for about 4 hours. These get your nerve endings going and they do require a break in period. Now I wear the on and off with no socks with my Birkenstocks and they both feel much more comfortable now. These are now my house shoes, cause sorry I am vain and will not wear them out but I do feel more comfortable and am using my insoles in all my other shoes that I wear out. I thank you Don for all your help and you now will have a customer for life. Next trip is for Brooks as soon as my new Nikes give out. Don't give up on the Kenkohs to soon because I think now they are worth every penny I spent on them. read more

Yes you pay full retail for these shoes but the quality and selection are great. Staff was very helpful. My sister and I bought several pairs of Naots and Kenkoh sandals. They specialize in comfortable shoes that are good for your feet. Abel to deal with wide feet and a lot of other foot problems. Very glad I found this store and I will be back! The Kenkoh sandals did take a little getting used to. Now I wear them almost all the time, they worked out great for me, like getting a massage on the bottoms of your feet. Actually had shopped at this store a couple of years ago, bought the Kenkoh--salespeople were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Went the other day and the whole place seemed changed, difficult to get any help and the two salespeople I spoke with didn't seem to know much about their stock or shoes in general, first one didn't know what a "negative heel" was, and when they finally found a brand that might work, there was only one pair iof course, wrong size) in the store, they could "order it" they said. Too bad the customer service has deteriorated so much, and if you're not gonna have shoes in stock, you're not gonna sell many of them--might as well just order online.
