No matter what time of day I had to pick them up in the afternoon I knew they were always being cared for by someone who knew them well. We opted to stay for pre-k instead of taking advantage of free GSRP. This was the best investment in our children's education! The pre-k teacher, Ms. Richele, is an amazing teacher and human being. The girls have not had a relationship with their Nanny since when they were just infants. Knowing the environment at home is at a 'good place' is an invaluable aspect when we are away at work. My wife and I are both working through this Pandemic as our industry's are qualified as an Essential Service. I especially am away from home more as my company is a partner with FEMA to transport aid/supplies to areas of need during this Pandemic. We have used a nanny in our home for 15 years. Some have been found by a family friend, word-of-mouth, Care and Nanny Services. As with any family who utilize a Nanny there are stories. But the story for us has stopped with Lena. Comparing our experiences with what we have encountered with Lena is like night and day. Knowing first hand the service you will experience with Lena is very hard to come by. My only regret is that we did not find each other sooner, like 9 years ago. But we would not have found _________ and the girls enjoy her very much. The difference in Lena's Service from other Nanny Companies is her dedication to 'the match'. This is not a, "quick, let's fill a home with a warm body type of service". Nor should it be. 18 Months - That's how long my wife and I were able to go without needing a baby sitter for our…read morebeautiful little girl. We are lucky enough to have Grandparents that live nearby that are always available when needed. However.... when we received an invitation to a childhood best friend's wedding in another state I knew it meant finding a sitter would be necessary as the wedding was adults only (I couldn't be mad - we didn't have kids at our wedding either) - Options were 1) Leave our daughter at home with Grandparents or 2) Take our daughter with us and find a sitter. We knew we had to take her with us - we never go more than a work day without being with her! So much to do... so much to do... book a flight, book a hotel, find a sitter - We all know that booking a flight and hotel are common, easy things to do that you can do from any computer - even a Smart Phone! Finding a baby sitter in another state - now that's a true challenge.... My wife and I looked at a multitude of websites claiming to have the services needed to find a babysitter - however they all wanted some sort of monthly or yearly fee before allowing us to contact a potential sitter to see if they were available or would even be a fit for our little one. I was lucky enough to come across an ad for The Babysitting Company  - and here they come to the rescue. After a quick phone call advising them of the date, time and location I needed a sitter for, they told me they would email me the next day with more information. Not even 12 hours later I received an email with the profile of our potential babysitter (A mother of 4 children) with years of experience as a sitter - fully background checked and CPR certified! (All of  The Babysitting Company employees meet these requirements) - As I reviewed the profile I knew my wife and I could finally relax from the nerves of finding a sitter for our out of town trip. We confirmed the details with TBC and let them handle the rest. After the stress of a first flight with our little one (which went amazing) it was not the day I was worrying about - the day our little girl has her first sitter that isn't family.... As I paced - "Should I call and confirm the sitter? or should I just trust that is handled?" - I trusted that it was handled.  Our sitter arrived at the designated time and after a quick chit-chat, my wife and I were relieved and comfortable letting her take over and we took off for the wedding festivities. At 8pm we received a text from the sitter that everything went well and our daughter was now sleeping comfortably. We returned back to the hotel around midnight and were delighted to see our daughter fast asleep and well cared for, we couldn't have been more thankful! The Babysitting Company handled every aspect (found the sitter, background checked, CPR certified, even payment) and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Its nice knowing that this may be in-fact easier than booking a flight or hotel room for our next vacation! We had a great experience with Ebony and Children at Play Event Childcare. We were in Detroit for…read morea wedding and needed child care for six rambunctious kids ranging from 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old. We were able to book CAPEC months in advance, which gave us the peace of mind to book the trip knowing that we had reliable child care in place for the night of the wedding. The reservation process was smooth and easy. I spoke to Ebony by phone and she explained her services and confirmed that she could accommodate the size of our group. Once we decided to book CAPEC, we received a link to fill out all the necessary information online (i.e. allergy information and emergency contacts for each child). We then received a written agreement laying out all the terms and information we needed to plan ahead. Given that we had a large group of six kids, Ebony brought a second staff member, Yolaunda. The two of them came very well prepared with plenty of toys and activities for the kids to play with. As soon as they arrived at the hotel they had the kids engaged with bubbles, balloons, and musical instruments. They also did a great job of comforting/distracting the kids so that the parents could slip out without causing a meltdown. Throughout the evening Ebony texted us updates and pictures of the kids playing and enjoying themselves, which was very reassuring and put our minds at ease so we could enjoy the wedding festivities. When we got back to the hotel at midnight all of the kids were fast asleep. The next morning the kids told us how much fun they had with Ebony and Yolaunda, which is really the best feedback you can get. Thank you Ebony, Yolaunda and Children At Play Event Childcare! Gateway Montessori School is definitely overrated and and uses its brand name to attract parents…read more In fact, both of my kids were there last year (infant and then toddler) and I can tell you that the infant room is not managed properly: Babies were sleeping in their car seats, accidents not reported properly, management is not present. While the price is very expensive (the most expensive in the area: between $1,500 and $1,700), it doesn't include lunch and snacks and several request to bring food or supplies are made on a monthly basis. Also the head of school is probably not experienced enough to manage the school. In fact, she seems overwhelmed with everything which happens in the school (she closes the school all the time rather than thinking through the issues). Staffs called themselves teachers while they take naps on the floor or look at their email all day. I left gateway few months ago and would definitely not recommend. There is cheaper and better service quality around in troy or royal oak. To avoid!!

Teachers are engaged, professional, and friendly. The room is immaculate and it is a loving environment. It appears to be a true Montessori as compared to a big name one in the area that seems to push a very academic curriculum. We have never encountered any issues. We have moved and now drive approximately 20 minutes to continue our relationship with this school, passing another Montessori that is probably just fine.
