In regards to planning and paying for a wedding, we have torn feelings toward the Ice House. While…read morethe coordinators are extremely helpful and insightful, and the planning process was smooth with great communication, the actual event had hiccups in regard to customer service toward our guests. We paid for a full, open bar with quality spirits and wine. A bartender stood out to our guests for being rude. After the wedding, we had several guests share with us about the bartender and her inhospitable attitude (which is very aggravating considering we paid thousands of dollars for our guests to happily enjoy the bar). In addition, there was an issue during the closing of the wedding that rubbed us the wrong way. A security guard made a guest very uncomfortable as she was scrambling trying to find a lost shoe on her way out. He made a comment implying that he would put her in cop car if she didn't leave right away. As well, another issue with the bar, the bar manager accused a guest of stealing after a bartender (appearing to be her own daughter) accepted cash for him for a drink which she seemingly pocketed. The poor customer service definitely left us questioning the integrity of the event, if a bartender would easily pocket cash what else could have been pocketed? We paid at least $50,000 for our event. For this price tag, one would expect impeccable service toward from beginning to end. If we could have copied and pasted the kindness and professionalism of the coordinators to the rest of staff, the night would have been perfect. However, the rude bartender, security, and even seemingly bar manager was the overall issue we had with our wedding reception.

We didn't try the pizzas. The dough wasn't Neapolitan style so we stayed away from it. The bartender was amazing. She offered us a lot of great advice. The venue itself was fantastic. There is an amazing leather couch inside. It is beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The weather was really nice so we sat outside. The ambience was nice. The weather was great and the seating was comfortable. We were lucky to have one of the cats visit us. It wasn't a brewery cat, but it was a very social cat that interacted with us. For the third year in a row, we attended the Easter egg hunt yesterday. Eggs are strewn all over the large lawn, and this event is large enough to feel like a community event while not being too big. It's still intimate and special. Important to know: This Easter egg hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m. If you arrive at 10:03 you'll miss out on eggs. We've also attended the Halloween event, complete with a small Halloween parade for kids in costumes along the driveway, and the Christmas open house with Santa. The PD House is large and stately but very welcoming. I love that it has become a symbol and gathering point for the neighborhood. It can also be rented out for events. I've passed by some beautiful weddings being held there. We are so lucky to have this landmark so close!

I liked PB&J, Cotton Candy, melon flavored. They were all actually pretty good. I wish I knew more about the place but, I was by myself vs. being with a group. I would love to learn more about RH and if they make their own Wine here. I have no complaints on this visit, I would love to know more about the winery and the wines. I do plan on returning.

It was a Sunday afternoon. Upon arrival there were red velvet ropes going into the venue with our pictures displayed on placards, a nice touch. We used the upstairs space, the Loft which has 2 seat high top tables, 8 top round tables, couch settings for 6 to 8 folks scattered throughout the space. It probably can accommodate 100 to 120 folks. It is so professionally decorated with beautiful flower arrangements, tableclothes, gold placemats and creative, fun wall decor. We were able to hook our phone, with our playlist to their speakers via Bluetooth. The space is elegant and could not be more perfect for a festive gathering. We opted to use one of their caterers who offered a charcuterie board in addition to a selection of 4 additional appetizers. The charcuterie board included the following: Watermelon, Strawberries, Pineapple, Grapes Prosciutto, Pepperoni Broccoli, Carrots, Celery. Gherkins, Cucumbers Olives, Ranch, Fruit Dip Vegetable, Ham and Turkey Pinwheels Chicken Salad in Miniature Cups W/ Crackers Pepperjack Cheese, Smoked Gouda, Extra Sharp Cheddar, and Colby Jack Cheese Assorted crackers. We opted for meatballs, Benedictine sandwiches, quiche and turkey sliders as our 4 appetizers in assition to the charcuterie selections. The food was good. Couple of issues, the food was late being put out, they were still setting it up when our guest started arriving. I paid for food for 100 people, we had 80 guests and there was not much food leftover. If all 100 guest would have attended I fear we would have run out of food and that was disappointing. We were also told there would be a microphone for our use but it was not working and not available for our use. My daughter did the planning but it was pretty straight forward. In this case, my sister was able to go from the basement (where the dressing rooms are) all the way up two floors to the top floor (where the ceremony was) without anyone on the first or second floor seeing her. Very useful! I'm told the stairwells connect everything throughout the building, so you can move around the whole facility without anyone seeing you, if need be- useful in this case for sure. It finally did, so off to Trellis Brewing we went. And what a happy little discovery. The outdoor space is fantastic: family-, kid-, and dog-friendly, surrounded by old buildings that give the whole area a cool, nostalgic, industrial vibe. They've done a really great job with the space. Inside, you'll find a mix of tables and booths, friendly people, and a laid-back atmosphere that feels genuinely welcoming rather than just saying it's welcoming. I also love that Trellis embraces the whole kids + parents + dogs brewery situation. You can't always get a babysitter, and so smart!!. More importantly: the beer is very good, and so is the food. I had the smashburger and fries, my husband had a Banh mi Dog, and we shared the pickled vegetables--which were tangy & delish . Everything was reasonably priced, and the service was bright, friendly, and helpful. It is counter service, but honestly, it fits the casual atmosphere perfectly. Bonus points: dogs are welcome inside, too. They just can't be on the couches, which seems like a perfectly reasonable boundary even though Gypsy may disagree. Gypsy had an excellent evening, made approximately 47 new friends, and thoroughly approved. I could absolutely see us becoming regulars here. Great beer, good food, cool space, dogs welcome. I'm sold.
