Communication was not timely from the get go, but when we heard back from Amy she was pleasant and typically answered questions. We were originally doing a cash bar. We booked everything for our October wedding in February. In April I emailed her asking about pricing on covering beer and wine. She replied and was getting back to me with information. I never heard back from her. As our wedding day approached I began following up with vendors including Professional Bar Service (PBS). This was in September. This is Ruth I finally received the requested information from April. I also indicated multiple times that I wanted bar service to begin 30 minutes before our ceremony. I was told a couple days before the wedding this would be fine. The venue approved it as well. Per my emails and contract with PBS they would begin at 6 and would stop serving 30 minutes before the end of event which was 11:30. I was told my contract time was through 11 pm because of this. Our day came and things were good until they weren't. PBS continued to tell our DJ they were closing up at 10:30 and were saying it was the venues rule basically giving us the runaround during our reception instead of us enjoying it. I personally spoke to them and told them I have a contract and emails from both the venue and PBS stating otherwise. I was told by one of the bartenders that they would call their boss. Never heard another word. At 10:28 my DJ said they weren't budging so let's do last call. We with 20 people in tow walk out to get one last drink. Most just beer and wine and the staff were rude and very unprofessional and started pulling bottles away saying they would not serve us anything but water. Come Monday following up with PBS, Amy admitted fault and apologized for being conveniently unavailable to handle the situation on Friday evening when her staff tried reaching her. We paid $3500 for the bar service which ended a half hour early and her staff embarrassed us in front of our guest. Most of our guest left right after the last call incident with her staff. In addition to loosing the last half hour of our service we paid the venue additional monies to extend our event an extra 30 mins. That was $165 which she offered to refund. We tried to reach back out and Amy responded once she wouldn't respond after that. We were NEVER refunded any money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

I was a little shocked at how good the fish was since it has a pub like atmosphere. The pours are generous. The food is fresh. They often have live music. They also do catering! During the summer they throw block parties with some of the other businesses and have live music, food, and drinks outside. They have outdoor seating, which is no longer pet friendly (bummer). As one most often does, I found myself in need of 20 mint julep cups the Sunday before Derby…read more I had come across Events LLC at a wedding show earlier in the year, and I remembered one of their staff members telling me how expansive their warehouse is and how, if you in search of something, they likely have it. So I put this to the test. I called Events earlier the week before, and the lady who answered the phone told me they likely have mint julep cups and she would check. I called back the following day, and much to my delight, they did have real mint julep cups that guests could drink out of. (Some people use mint julep cups for flowers, I now know.) I was sent an invoice. There was a slight change on the price, as the larger cups at $4 each to rent are the cups you drink out of, not the smaller $2 cups I originally chatted with them about. But still, this wasn't a big problem as I was still happy that they even had them at all. I arranged to pick them up the Friday before my event. They were waiting for me, packed up in a box. And then I brought them back the day after my event. The process of turning them in only took a few minutes. I did get to look through their showroom a bit when I visited. I have passed their building so many times on Story Avenue -- it was great to finally get to go in. Especially if you're having a wedding, they have all manner of table settings, from the over-the-top ornate to something a bit more subdued and stately. My wedding is coming up in a couple of months, and I chatted with them a bit about items I'm looking for for centerpieces. They knew what I was describing and said they are looking to buy some soon to add to their collection. The showroom also included large statement pieces and sculptures. I bet their warehouse is a treasure trove of wonders. I'm looking forward to going back and using Events again soon!

It was an outdoor wedding December 2013 (yes... I know, but it was 60F the year before!) and, of course, there was a freak ice/snow storm the night before. The crew spent the whole day slipping and injuring themselves to set up the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. And I didn't receive any bills for their medical expenses! ;) Leading up to it, I took up hours and hours and hours of their time picking out exactly what we thought would look good (and they have a really creative team with awesome ideas I would have never thought of). I'm uploading photos because words can't even begin to describe the wonderland they created for us. I would (and I do) recommend Events to anyone planning any kind of party. They have this ginormous warehouse of the craziest (and most gorgeous) stuff for any party. I've also thrown a Halloween and a Circus-themed party with their help, both of which were a huge success. Another reviewer on here (not even from Louisville, incidentally) may have had some hiccups in communication, but I've had nothing but expert help with Events. Thanks to their hard work and creativity, our wedding is featured in Louisville Bride and Wedding Wire just to name a couple. ***** 5 STARS and yes, I would highly recommend them to anyone!

And the support and ease of communicating, I mention because if I was having a wedding knowing the caterer is very easy to get ahold of. And please, I'm disabled from being trapped under 3 stories when my New Orleans condo collapsed during Hurricane Katrina. Over 100 surgeries later I'm still alive and just think cutting things like Meals on Wheels will actually cost Medicaid so much more to pay for it nursing home. And there's the dignity of still living in my own home. I filed my first tax return at age 12 and worked even in college and later law school. Please, when you're thinking or hearing things about people and disability please remember we all paid into the disability insurance program and if I could, I would be out there working right now, but physically, I just can't do it (sorry these cuts that are coming. Have me very worried on how I'm going to pay my bills and eat).

The enthusiastic lady ringing up our order of dry ribs, the awesome chic working on the BBQ in the heat at the Reno Rib Cook Off (yes, the national competition) , and the other people helping with food prep and sauce samples all together made a great team. This was the second (of three) places we stopped for ribs while at the festival. Their ribs were the meatiest, least fatty, and most full of flavor. Plus, we got the most for our money. They should be the festival winner (well, in my opinion they totally were - but I'm not sure who really won). I wish Westport were "just around the corner" - 2,000 miles is too far out of the way to drive for ribs.... or is it?!

We used them for our wedding this past October (2018) and had them cater food for our venue and bartend our event. We supplied our alcohol for our event (three full-size kegs, an enormous amount of wine, and about 30 bottles of champagne). They were more than happy to serve our host-sponsored alcohol and also kept a menu of hard liquor for the cash bar portion of our event. They had a menu for our provided beers and wines that guests could view. The number of bartenders was perfect and people were not waiting around for drinks. They even had a bartender or just a person who would grab my wife and I our preferred drinks if they saw our cups were empty or that we were waiting in line. Additionally, for our wedding party and ourselves - we were able to stock the bar with our preferred hard liquor without any issues. They set it aside for us and were more than happy to keep it behind the bar. They treated our guests well and I really enjoyed the bartenders - they had a lot of fun and made sure our guests did the same. For our food, we did a breakfast bar. Pancakes with cinnamon apples, blueberries, and chocolate chips; biscuits and white pepper gravy or assorted jams/jellies, pimento cheese, roasted potatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs, and seasonal fruits. I didn't really eat much at the wedding to be honest BUT I did hear we had like nothing left over and that our guests really enjoyed the food! The tasting we did prior to our wedding was really nice and the food tasted good then (so I could only imagine it tasted the same or better when the wedding occurred). The only downside was that we didn't get any to-go food for us which I was kinda bummed about. My matron of honor was literally following me around on the dance floor and tables feeding me bacon because I hadn't had a chance to eat. The company was even more than happy to set up our coffee and donuts that we had ordered from North Lime as our "cake". They did a pretty solid job. They were easy to work with. Responded quickly. Sat down with us at some of our final venue walk throughs to talk about "our perfect wedding" goals, and even helped us out when we ran into issues. They were more than happy to help us out with the kegs and were polite with our requests on which kegs went first and not to just pop the top on all the wine. Logan was our main point of contact and she was perfect. She was hilarious and easy to reach - let us know when she was around in the days leading up to our wedding and even told us to reach out if we had ANY questions or concerns in those few days before.
