My daughter was also always sick and had diarrhea. The director Jennifer is extremely unorganized & when I told her about her rash she stated it was only brought to her attention once, like excuse me I shouldn't have to tell them about proper care. Don't take your kids here it's also very unsanitary.

My baby was screaming by herself on a boppy while they were warming up her bottle. They could have held her while it warming up since the caregiver was not holding a baby. It took me a while to calm my, typically easy going and never cries baby. I finally got her to calm down and I left, thinking it was such a small window of time, that I need to give it another chance. I came back a few hours later. And again, my never cries, is good with strangers baby is scream crying on a boppy while the other caregiver is not holding any baby and keeps repeatedly shoving a pacifier in my babies mouth. She made no effort to sooth my baby. The caregivers seemed lazy and did nothing to help with my babies first day at daycare. I'm lucky that I could come visit and really observe, to see if what they said matches how they run the facility. I bet if the other parents could come see the crying, unattended children who are not being engaged, I bet they would find alternative care. We didn't go back, and I still get a pit in my stomach when I think of my little girl scream crying all by herself in a new place with no one to soothe her.

After the smooth enrollment process, my son began services and since then has been thriving! There is a structured curriculum and the teachers work with the children on key development items throughout the day through group activities and open play. When there is open play, we've observed the teachers actively engaged with the kids, helping teach them right from wrong, how to interact with others, etc. They have a lot of patience and genuinely care about everyone. The staff is great about providing updates via the mobile app including daily photos (sometimes multiple group and individual) of the activities, meals/snacks, and nap times. We've felt very welcome here, and we would highly recommend this location.

We have LOVED our 5 years at TGS Oakbrook. I can't believe we are about to leave behind this daily…read morepart of our lives! The people at The Gardner School of Oakbrook Terrace have helped to raise our daughter to be the beautiful, smart, hilarious, creative, sweet little 5-and-a-half-year-old lady she is now. These women have changed her diapers, fed her nutritious meals, played with her, read to her, soothed her, encouraged her, loved her, taught her, shaped her, and helped her grow in every way possible. They've helped me be a better mom (& teacher, too). They've helped my husband in myriad ways as well. The teachers, administrators, and other staff are supportive and caring in all their interactions. The administrators were understanding whenever "life" happened and you needed to bend protocol to make all the things happen, whatever they might be. In our case, when our daughter was an infant, we actually pulled her out of TGS for a 6-month period because she was getting sick so often and so intensely. (Former preemie with low immune system plus she had the stereotypical childhood recurring ear infection.) When we decided we wanted to have her return, TGS welcomed us back with open arms. And...no matter what...every day during high traffic/morning drop-off/evening pick-up times, one of the administrators was there with a smiling face to greet parents and families at the front door. That meant more than it might seem on the surface. First of all, there were plenty of days where I blew into the building in quite a mood from my own long, trying school day with 100+ kids, but after I was greeted by a smiling Ms. Natalie, Ms. Jen, or Ms. Brittany and walked to my daughter's classroom, that interaction had managed to shift my focus to what kind of day my child had. Second, consistency is key with children and at TGS, it's demonstrated even in this area. Third, knowing you can count on that presence at a particular time makes it simple to plan quick verbal check-ins with TGS staff. The teachers were forever gracious about everything, including me dropping off incredibly late in the summer. :-P Enrichment teachers like Coach Janelle helped our daughter explore ballet, gymnastics, and theatre in a friendly, safe environment. We counted on Chef Nicole to prepare and serve tasty, healthy food several times a day every day & she always delivered. Most of all, we knew that daily our daughter's classroom teachers were doing absolutely amazing things, instilling in her a love of learning and an understanding of how school works... Ms. Angelika, Ms. Abbey, Ms. Tameka, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Angela, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Cassi, Ms. Adriana, Ms. Ann, Ms. Anna, Ms. Lonnisha, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Elyse: you are forever in our hearts. Beyond everything mentioned above, these women at TGS Oakbrook have always understood who our daughter is. That means they know what she responds well to and what she needs in order to feel safe, loved, & happy. It also means they knew what gaps needed to be filled and what she needed to work on. So at TGS, she has learned soooo much about how to be brave, to write, to play with friends (or to play alone when she's not feeling it!), to wash your hands at all the right times, to listen when others speak, ... Because of TGS Oakbrook and the women who work there, my daughter will walk into kindergarten at our neighborhood school the most prepared she could possibly be. And for that, we are forever grateful.

My son Daniel attended this daycare for the past 3years. Recently I purchased a house located in…read moreRomeoville. But because I work in Aurora and Kids Kampus is located in Naperville, I would be driving an hour in the mornings just to get from Romeoville to Naperville to drop off my son and from Napperville to Aurora to go to work. This would be in the mornings and in the evenings after work. Because of this, I made the decision of looking for daycares in Romeoville. I informed the staff verbally of my home purchase and that I would be looking for a daycare possibly in Romeoville to help my commute. Unfortunately, I could not find any daycares in Romeoville. The ones that I did find were home daycares. So I decided that it would be best to just do the commute and keep my son Daniel at Kids Kampus since he's been there for a few years now and has all his friends in this daycare. But when I spoke with Denis to inform her that I would no longer be moving Daniel to another daycare. I was told by Denis that Daniel would no longer be allowed to return and that his last day at Kids Kampus would be on March 31st, as I had "requested." To be clear, I never made this request in writing or verbally. I did inform Kids Kampus that I purchased a house and that I would be looking into finding a daycare closer to home and if I did find one, Daniel would no longer be attending Kids Kampus. Denis previously states that there might not be any room for Daniel in the summer because they have reached their capacity and the classes are full for the summer. So why did Denise deny entrance to my son now? It's not like we were always late or never paid our tuition. We always paid on time. It would be interesting to see what excuse she gives to validate herself for being so spiteful in denying my son entrance. After my conversation with Denise, I decided to accept her rejection towards my son. At the end of the day, I wouldn't want my son to attend a daycare where he is not wanted and the owner/Denise is spiteful and has an ugly reaction towards any parents situation. It's sad that she made the decision to take it against my son by denying him entrance at the daycare. I don't believe we did anything wrong, especially my son Daniel. But it's also good to see the kind of spiteful person Denise is. Fortunately for my son, my coworker informed me of a daycare her daughter attends. I will be working on getting the transfer to daycare process quickly so that my son can make new friends and hopefully this new daycare does not have a spiteful owner that take vengeance on the innocent children over a parents situation. What I would advise all parents that have kids who currently attend Kids Kampus or plan on having their children attend Kids Kampus is, be careful of sharing your situation with Denise. She is very spiteful and will take it out on your child by denying them entrance.

We are so fortunate to have found them years ago by neighborhood recommendation. We have personally referred several others. Miss Kim and her staff are absolutely wonderful! My children have gone through almost every room in the facility and each one has been exceptional. The staff has been consistent throughout our time there which says a LOT. There is very little turn over keeping the learning environment for the children a top priority. Most daycare facilities cannot say the same. One of our children had some significant health issues at one point and the center was on top of it. Another has an anaphylactic allergy and I never worry about his allergy. My children's education and emotional well-being has always been approached with respect, care, and an enormous amount of experience. This week we will be ending our daycare journey as we are aging into kindergarten with our youngest. I've teared up several times already. It will be bittersweet leaving our children's home away from home. 10/5 stars. Cannot recommend enough.
