It is handily situated (as the name hints subtly at) right near Partick train & bus station and subway. At first I must admit discounted it for looking a bit shabby shall we say...it doesn't look like the prettiest or most well designed Chinese take-away in Glasgow (sorry SW!) but don't judge a book by it's cover and lately I have also found don't judge a business by it's bad font/sign! They have quite a large & varied menu in here; the vegetarian dishes could maybe do with a bit more imagination but that's not something only SW are guilty of, but many Chinese take-aways are. The prices are very reasonable and all dishes (except a few) come with rice or chips. Yas. I like when that is included in the price because what CRAZY FOO would order Chinese take-away without either rice or chips?! Only a mad person surely! Ha ha! Being the carb queen that I am I cannot resist the delicious MSG-laden (probably) lure of fried rice...ooh yeah...when egg fried rice is done really well it is a meal within itself. Yum. I have tried a few different dishes here & they have all been lovely and the rice & chips are always cooked perfect. Oh, btw the chicken balls here (you can have them as a starter) are HUGE! I seriously question the freakish, genetically modified, I-got-biten-by-a-radioactive-spider-ness size of the chickens (or to be more precise, cockerels) those size of baws come from?! Holy cow (chicken). Either way they're are tasty as & worth checking out. As well as the usual starters/dishes you can also get calamari rings here which at first I found a bit odd but then figured 'What the hell...I love calamari so why not?!' I think them dudes at SW also have this attitude. Good on them. Another thing I really like about SW is they are willing to adapt most meals to how you would like them - for instance, I love cashew nuts so I sometimes request them in dishes that do not include them & it is never a problem. Speedy & polite and never had a bad meal here. Also great portion sizes too. As future Bill & Ted would say 'Station!' (Wok)

I'd heard pretty good things about this place and was keen to try it myself. I ordered a meal for one which for just under £6.00 (not including delivery which I'm sure was around the £2.50 mark) was amazing value. I got my choice of chicken noodle soup or chicken mushroom soup, a choice of starters (there was a few to pick from, I went for the spring rolls) and a choice of mains (that covered everything from curries to chow mein) that were served with either rice or chips. Oh, and a free portion of prawn crackers was thrown in which is never a bad thing. I ordered the chicken noodle soup, spring rolls and chicken curry with fried rice. Delivery took about 45 minutes but as it was the weekend, that is definitely expected (It arrived just at the point I was moving into the hangry zone). The soup was delicious, as were the spring rolls (there were 5 or 6, I can't quite remember) and the prawn crackers were really tasty. The curry was served in a long tray whilst the rice came in a smaller tray. The curry was nice; plenty of chicken, onions and the sauce was of the perfect consistency. It wasn't the best curry I have ever tasted but it was a nice meal and I was pleased with my meal. I ordered a 2 litre bottle of juice as well which was £2.50 but that's pretty standard if you're ordering juice from a take away!

Unlike most establishments in this area, it seems to have held onto the same management for quite some time now. Thankfully, this means that the food is consistently good and the menu is upgraded once in awhile. Not bad at all.
