The outside of the shop advertises all the goodies inside. It kind of reminds me of a candy store you might find in a resort/tourist town like Pensacola Beach or Gatlinburg: fudge, popcorn, candy apples, lots of different kinds of confections. A bell rang as I walked in and someone came out to serve me right away. He was pleasant and eager to share with me all about their products. He offered me samples of all the popcorn and fudge and also told me about their loyalty program and their monthly drawings. One thing I really liked was they had a lot of popular treats (turtles, chocolate covered graham crackers, chocolate covered Oreos, etc) each available in all the different varieties of chocolate (i.e. milk, dark, and white chocolate). They also have turtles made with cashews, as well as the traditional pecan. I got a dark chocolate cashew turtle for my mom, a regular milk chocolate pecan turtle for me, milk chocolate covered graham crackers for my husband, and a bag of cheddar cheese popcorn. I don't remember the total off the top of my head, but I do remember feeling it was a touch on the pricy side. Each item was wrapped nicely. Mom enjoyed her treat and so did husband. He was nice enough to give me one of the graham crackers and it was very good! Nice ratio of chocolate to graham and the chocolate was super nice and creamy. I still haven't gotten around to my chocolate but I imagine it will be similarly tasty. Haven't yet met a turtle I didn't like. The cheddar popcorn was just alright. I thought the cheese flavor was a little too artificial for my preferences, and some of the popcorn was a tiny bit stale, though none of it was unpleasant enough to keep me from eating it, lol. Just nit picking. Overall, this is a nice little shop with lovely service and especially good chocolates. Give them a try if you're passing through!

Finally got my chance a few weeks ago when they attended a lunch time food truck rally at Parkway Scrubs. I got done working in the heat and drove over to get a treat before continuing my day. It was atrociously hot so a sno-ball seemed perfect. It took a minute for anyone to appear and take my order, but when someone did, he was friendly and polite. Sno-Boss specializes in NOLA style sno-balls. NOLA style is supposed to have fluffier ice, syrup added throughout the process, and sometimes stuffed or drizzled with other goodies like ice cream, cakes, or sweetened condensed milk. They have several specialty sno-balls, which are premade combinations that are loaded with goodies. If you want something simpler with just plain syrup, that's fine too. I wanted to go full Monty so I ordered the smallest size "Fan Luv," which is strawberry syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and cheesecake stuffing. It was plenty large enough for a treat, though the price to size ratio seemed maybe a little high (~$10). On the whole, I liked it. I will admit that I'm not the biggest shaved ice connoisseur, but I did enjoy myself. It was so hot that the ice melted fast enough I can't comment too much on the consistency. I wish there'd been a bit more sweetened condensed milk; it mostly just tasted like strawberry, and extra creaminess would've countered that a bit. I did really like the addition of the cheesecake. It was pleasantly dense and creamy and went well with the strawberry ice. I would definitely get another sno-ball from here if it was convenient and the mood struck. In the future, I will likely try one with more flavors incorporated just to keep it interesting. But strawberry cheesecake is a classic for a reason, so give it a try if you get the chance!

The staff was initially friendly but did not stay on top of orders - which were excessive long in being prepared and we only saw waitresses once we asked for check. The food was colorful- bright red and green - which was cute for a hero locale but did not make up for taste and texture and temp. We ordered bourbon chicken, and waffles; the waffles were cool and tough to cut, and had very little flavor, even with the bourbon caramel sauce, which was extremely thin. The maple wing were good and different. Owners need to review menu and reduce cooking time so that waffles are tender and still warm once served.
