Thank you 93' Til, Yelp, Brittany and Jando for this opportunity.
93'Til was in my bookmarks and they really understood the assignment! From the moment they handed out cold water like VIPs in the Houston heat, I knew this was gonna be a whole vibe.
Yall know how I feel about parking and even though they do have a lot, its tiny with barely street parking. So you know I did one of the things I do best... uber!
Let's talk drinks first, because of course priorities: the Bee's Knees had me in a chokehold. Light, refreshing, and served in a coupe glass; the only correct glass for feeling fancy, it was hands down my favorite sip of the night and I don't even drink gin. Sadly, the entire bar agreed, because they ran out before I could snag a second. RIP to my round two dreams.
Now, the food? LISTEN.. the pork shoulder stole the spotlight. It was the last savory dish we had and the top tier bite of the night. Shockingly the chicken mousse hors d'oeuvre was tasty. Regardless of the look; Ill try anything once... ok maybe twice lol
Special shoutout to their staff. Legend behavior. Every single staff member was on it, smiles all around, quick with the banter, and totally invested in making sure everyone felt welcome and full.
Ambiance? Let me paint the scene: imagine a cozy living room from the early '90s with vinyl spinning, dim lights, eclectic couches, and enough personality to make your cousin's baby shower jealous. It felt like someone said, "what if a neighborhood bar had soul?" and then made 93' Til.
Hearing about the bar's history and the owner's journey gave everything a deeper meaning. I love love love when a spot has purpose, flavor, and a playlist that slaps. Lauryn Hill all night.
Whether you're pulling up for a casual drink, a date, or a whole Yelptastic event like we did, 93' Til is that girl. I've already made plans to come back. read more
