It was nice to venture out to Chinatown for this Elite Experience as I don't frequent the Alief area too often. I always appreciate the opportunity to check out one of the many boba tea places around town. The store is extremely small. It wasn't busy when I visited, but there were a few customers. They only have two tables indoor and I noticed a table on the patio outside. I didn't get the gentleman's name that took my order but he was very nice. I ordered the Blueberry Blush with 75% sweetness and regular ice. I didn't add any additional toppings. I really enjoyed the drink! I thought the flavors were balanced. I could taste the tea, but it wasn't overly bitter. The blueberry was good and I really enjoyed the diced white peaches. If I were to order the drink again, I would go down to 50% sweetness as 75% was just a tad too sweet. The lanyard and car freshener was a nice surprise! I never expect extra swag with freebies. So generous of the staff to do that for us! I was happy to see a cash tip jar as many places don't seem to have tip jars anymore. I didn't purchase any other items, though some of the food items caught my eye. I also noticed the photo ops around the store which is basically standard these days. What a refreshing treat after a workout! Thank you Jando, Yelp HTX, and Tastea staff!

Wow, they do say that 3rd times a charm. The first time I was here it was during their opening weekend, that experience fell short. So I decided to give them a 2nd chance and return back a week later, yet again it was the same results. Customer service is always on point and the staff is helpful and kind, however their drinks were weak in terms of tea flavor. I'm glad I had the opportunity to join this elite week and give them one last chance & they did not disappoint. I think they listened to their customers like myself and took the constructive feedback and made changes for the better. I went ahead and got their Earl grey milk tea as the complementary drink & a bootea shaker. They also had some hand batter shrimp which caught my attention so I ordered that as well. It also comes with white rice & corn. The earl grey milk tea was delicious, strong herbal tea flavor and the right amount of sweetness. The bootea shaker had just enough tea flavor for me to give it a thumbs up. It was refreshing and I can taste the peach & mango together, but I didn't really get any pineapple flavor. So for the shrimp, they give you an option from a 1-5 scale on how spicy you would like them to prepare it. I went ahead and said 3. To be honest I didn't expect for it to be spicy but it was. For someone who loves spicy and can handle it, let's just say it had my nose running and my eyes a bit watery. I can't imagine how spicy 5 would be. I'm not sure if he was heavy handed on the spice but it definitely got me. The shrimp was lightly battered & seasoned very well. The rice was soft and fluffy and the corn was fine. To be honest, I would've been fine with just the shrimp. It also came with a sauce that tastes like oyster sauce/hoisin sauce/Sriracha sauce mixed together. Overall, this time around they got it together & I'm proud of them. The service from Vy was outstanding & she also listened to my feedback from my prior visits. She definitely went above and beyond to make my drinks perfect. Thank you Jando and the yelp team for getting me in to this elite week. From the reviews a lot of yelpers received goodie bags which I wasn't offered one, but I ain't tripping. Can't wait to come back and try out more drinks.

Thank you Yelp Houston, CM Jando, and this business owner and staff for this offering. Parking, was shared lot, with lots of options. You take the stairs to get to the business, as it's on a 2nd floor from the ground floor. I arrived on Sunday evening. Luckily there was only 1 customer that left shortly after I arrived, so I had the place to myself. I was able to relax and settle in the space, before another customer came in as I was leaving. Thi (sp) was the staff member that rang me up. She was kind and friendly. She explained the Yelp freebie and she told me her personal fav of the two. I decided on the blueberry blush at 50% sweet and light ice. I liked it. Then to support this local biz I ordered the shrimp basket, small at $8.99, medium heat and it was more heat than I thought! But I enjoyed. Came out very sizzling with heat. I decided on the ranch rather than the syracha sauce. That turned out to be a good choice, as the ranch cooled down the heat. I didn't get a chance to learn much about the business and backstory. The staff kind of scurried off. But I appreciate an Elite week always. They seem to have multi locations across town. Cute photo ops for your drinks. Thanks Yelp!

I've been here a few times and happy to find them for Yelp Elite Week. I identified myself and asked about the two drinks offered. The attendant was very helpful, explained the tea types used and the ingredients. I ordered the Blueberry Blush, liked that it has the pieces of white peach in the drink. I ordered it at 50% sweetness with no additional toppings. It was light on the tea and the perfect amount of sweetness for me. The tea was refreshing and fruity, just the way I usually like my tea. I also received a free lanyard but was advised that they were out of the air freshener. Still a cute lanyard that I can use for my keys! I went on Sunday around 7:30 PM and parking was a struggle. I think this center has too many businesses for the parking lot size. Luckily I got dropped off but it deterred my friend from coming in to order his own drink. I'm a fan and have already added this tea shop to my rotating list.

It is Tastea! What a nice surprise to have a Blueberry Blush-Blueberry Earl Grey tea with diced white peaches. Ordered with 1/2 ice. Delicious and refreshing. My husband polished it off including the white peaches at the bottom of the cup! Arthur was so sweet (no pun intended) as he told us about the choices. The space is so open an inviting. Love the neon "to infinitea & beyond!" sign on the wall. So cute and so clever. Plenty of parking available in the nice shopping plaza. Thank you to Arthur and Tastea for a tasty tea treat. And thanks as always to the best CM, Houston's Jando! He really takes our community to infinity and beyond!!

Another much appreciated elite week event! They have plenty of parking and there are tons of other great places to try nearby and in the shopping center in which Tastea is located. I had the pleasure of bumping into the lovely Miss Moquita upon walking in. She was enjoying their shrimp and seasoned fries and raved about how delicious they both were. I ordered the Blueberry Earl Grey tea w/ Stevia, 50% sweetened. It tasted fully sweetened but it was very delicious and refreshing, especially the sweet juicy small chunks of white peaches that were inside. I didn't purchase anything but made sure to tip. The service provided was swift and stellar as well. I LOVE the car air freshener. It smells so good. What a nice and creative gift. The lanyard is also nice. Love the space theme of it Thanks so much Tastea, Yelp, and Jando for this perfect Monday thirst quenching treat!

This little tea shop was a nice treat. Apple Maps took me to the wrong side of the parking lot and I felt foolish when I realized I drove right past it without paying attention. It's located right at the entrance of the parking lot to the shopping strip. Inside it quite small with only two tables. Staff was super friendly and walked me thru the options. You're able to choose your sweetness level and how much ice you want. You also have the options to add extra boba. I decide to have the blueberry blush and it was great. I picked the 100% sweetness level with light ice. I was then asked if I wanted topped off as I was getting it with less ice. Again so accommodating! The drink was very refreshing and was the perfect level of sweet for my liking. I plan on coming back soon as they have so many great flavor options and such amazing service!

A new boba spot that's just popped up in Chinatown! I came mid-afternoon on a weekday on my way home from work and was able to walk right up to the counter. Aside from myself, there was a table of Vietnamese aunties sitting at a table spilling the (Tas)tea among themselves. The Elite Week promo is a complimentary 20 oz Earl Grey milk tea or 20 oz Blueberry Blush fruit tea. They even threw in a small ziplock bag of Tastea swag and goodies. Given the abnormally warm fall we've been having lately, a fruit tea sounded perfect so I went for the Blueberry Blush. Staff was friendly in explaining the promo and got my order out in less than 2 minutes - barely a wait! The Blueberry Brush comes with white peach cubes at the bottom but I added on honey boba. Their boba comes in assorted colors which is fun! The tea was very refreshing and I liked the peaches at the bottom. The colorful boba had an appropriate amount of chewiness to it, so no complaints here. I finished my entire drink on the drive home, so you can get an idea of how I liked it. My only recommendation would be to have a low-sweetness option. There were sweetness levels of 100%, 75%, 50%, or 0%. If you notice the increments, there is a 25% missing! I typically go for this low level of sweetness for my boba, so I just wish it didn't go from half-sweet to no sweet at all. Thanks to Jando and the team at Tastea for having us for this Elite Week. While I wouldn't say this was my favorite boba tea, I do come to this shopping center frequently for Vietnamese food and groceries, so I'll swing in if I need a midday tea pick-me-up.

Super friendly service and delicious milk tea. I actually didn't know this place was here until this event! The interior was clean and well maintained. Although a bit small inside, there was still a seating area. The milk tea wasn't as strong as I preferred, but it was still refreshing and had its place on my milk tea list. I'm curious to try other drinks on a future visit. The menu seemed interesting. Parking was surprisingly difficult to find. Cars filled up the entire lot all the way towards the street. That didn't stop us from reaching our drink! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try this place!

I stopped by Tastea during this Yelp Elite event and with so many boba spots in Viet Town, this one made a solid impression. I tried the earl gray milk tea with 50% sweetness, and it was surprisingly smooth and fragrant. This will probably my go-to spot for earl gray from now on. Service was friendly and fast, which I appreciated. I didn't get any swag bags like some other reviewers mentioned, but I came on the last day of the event, so that might explain it. I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu.

    Jose L.

Tastea was a savory experience. Arrived in the evening and was greeted to the friendliness of Jenney. She got me checked in and answered all my questions. And got a little bit of Tastea swag. Thank you! Inside seating is a bit small but there is also outside seating available. I went with the Early Grey Milk tea with 50% sugar. I liked that we can choose our own sweetness level. I will say it was one of the most delicious Milk teas I've tried. There was also food but I didn't try any, though it smelled good. Thank you Jando, Yelp team and the friendly staff at Tastea Bellaire.

Such a cute lil place. The staff was very nice and welcoming. It was great to see familiar faces during my visit there! The tea was amazingly refreshing. I opted to get the Berry Blush. Your girl was hungry. To also support the business, I bought food. I gave this event a 4 ONLY because the food was a bit salty. I ordered the Shrimp JuJutsu Bowl, 1 spice with basil added. She told me 1 was still a bit spicy. I probably could have done a 3. I can take a lil heat. At first I thought it was the sauce (3 sauces in one) that was salty, but it was a perfect blend of sweet and salty. I will definitely stop by here whenever I'm im the Alief area. A special thanks to Tastea for the nice gifts as well. My car smells so good!

Such a cute shop! I remember first trying Tastea in California, and always wondered when they'd open one in Houston. They gave us Yelp Elites a lanyard with our drink :) The girl that took our order let us know that the drinks are pretty sweet so we lowered the sugar to 50%, which was the perfect amount. The Earl Grey Milk Tea had a great pronounced earl grey flavor compared to other boba shops in the area. There are also milk substitutions as well. The Blueberry Blush with Peaches was okay. I love Blueberry, but I find the blueberry a bit artificial tasting. The peaches were a nice touch! Personally, I don't think peaches a blueberries don't work together. Would love to come back and try the spuddies and their Banana Matcha.

What a different kind of UYE that's outside the norm of Chinatown Crawls, it leaves room to what is to be desired. Here we are at Makiin Thai, chatting with other fellow Yelpers and then some new faces conjugated around an AYCE (all you can eat) Thai buffet with a limited selections of veg options on the line. An elegant styled restaurant and I'm sure glad that today was "dress day" for myself since I felt at place with everyone else attire. There were three options that I could choose from: tamarind brussel sprouts, purple rice, and stir-fried mixed vegetables. Everything was delicious! I could have ordered from the menu, but I specifically came for the AYCE. Nonetheless, the moment wasn't sour for me. I'd like to visit again to sample the menu items since Thai is one my favorite cuisine. I'm looking forward to the next UYE!

The theater was clean, the seats were comfortable, and everyone working there was so nice and helpful. Things were a little unorganized at the beginning, but honestly, I was just happy to be part of Group 2 and make it in! I'm definitely looking forward to more Yelp movie nights.

The movie opens to the public on November 7th which made it all the more special that Yelp hooked us up with the opportunity to get a special preview. I've been to several of the YES movie nights before and made sure to read the instructions prior to arrival as sometimes the check in process can be confusing. Knowing that these advance screenings are not exclusive to Yelp, I made sure to arrive well in advance at 6pm only to find a huge line already camped out outside the main entrance. While this was a little intimidating, the line funneled inside fairly quickly to a smooth check in at the table outside of the theater. I'll be the first to admit that I am completely out of the loop on the newest movie releases and movie series and had never even heard of this film. Set far into the future, predator Dek, labeled as the underdog from his clan, sets out to prove himself to his kinsman and seek redemption for his brother's death. Faced with multiple lessons of loyalty and teamwork, Dek finds several companions on his journey which turn him from a solo adventurer to a leader of his own new clan. The film was exciting and kept the audience on their toes. The creatively of the physical appearance of the characters and the qualities of the natural environment were impressive and definitely gave me some ideas for Halloween 2026 costumes. As always, thanks Yelp and Jando, for setting up this event and allowing Yelp Elites to venture into the badlands!

Congrats to Boat People SOS-Houston for the 7th Annual Banh Mi Cookoff Fundraiser. Great banh mi sandwich samples provided by Blood Bros BBQ, AtCha on Bellaire Blvd, Kau Ba in Montrose area, Saigon Hustle in the Garden Oaks community, The Pho Fix, Vina Deli in Spring, Kim Son Restaurant, Wokker HTX and Xin Chao Restaurant (a modern Vietnamese restaurant by Christine Ha & Tony J Nguyen). I remember it used to elbow to elbow during the 2nd hour of Banh Mi Cookoff event at Chapman & Kirby previously. This year is a lot more room to roam around. Much better and comfortable. Me and my foodie friend went around to sample every banh mi one time. Then, went back to try those we want to vote on. After some sweet teas, we were stuffed. Another great improvement was the ticketing process. Signed up on CauseVox and paying $40 with no upfront fees. I received the eTicket via email. I bought 2 tickets, my friend got her email, too. Traffic from Chinatown was usual busy around this area and I parked at an empty lot across the street for $20 plus tax. Overall, it was a great event. We vowed to come back next year.
