There are 2 bays that are touch-free and two soft touch bays. They also have vacuum stations available. I always use the touch free car wash option. There are 3 different wash options available & you can by with credit card or cash. You can also use a discount code from the nearby gas station. The money machine ALWAYS works when I am there, which is a lot more than I can say for other car washes. The wash is always consistent and does a good job of blasting the gravel dust build-up off of my car. I have used the vacuum once and was impressed at how long my money lasted - my car looked fantastic when I got done.

The power of the wash makes a huge difference than the other competitors. I paid $11.00 this last visit. I could have gone for the $10 wash and still be good. May sound funny but the power of the water comes out in a very rapid circular pulse like way. No other laser wash does this in Des Moines that I've experienced. It's a newer location so it's probably a more advanced technology. Came here on a very nice sunny day. First day of spring and it was the sunniest day of the week and we were able to get in within a few minutes. I'm sure it can get really busy on a sunny day. We probably just got lucky. DO NOT use the two middle machines at all for sure! The undercarriage cleaner does not work on one of them, and the soap on the other acts funny. There are suds on the first round and only spatters of water on the second. I left the wash DIRTIER than when I went in. I didn't think that was even possible! I had to drive out of my way to go to a Casey's car wash where my car actually came out clean, AND at a cheaper rate. Laserwash of Urbandale owes me $24.72 for the two wasted washes I went through but no one will respond!!!

The exterior of the vehicle looks great, and has a nice fresh-off-the-lot shine. The interior was past due for a little TLC so I went ahead and added an interior clean package. On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give this particular round a 6. While better than it was, the vacuum and dust cloths missed a number of places, and the windshield - the main reason for wanting the interior cleaned - still has some smudges. As an aside, while I can't confirm/may well be mistaken, I think that a number of the photos on the walls in the waiting area are of actual employees that I have seen working at this location. If that's the case, kudos to the company for the authenticity. I'm still giving this four stars because this location usually performs at that level. I'll re-assess next visit. Things to know: * This location is on a busy corner and shares driveway access with a couple other business - be cautious. * This is one of the very few (maybe the only remaining) Mister Car Wash in The Des Moines metro where you can pay to have your car's interior cleaned. I confirmed with employee if this is $15.00 each month and employee responded, it's $15.00 for all 3 months. Because this would total $5.00 a month I questioned their current special again with employee and their response was again, it's $15.00 for all 3 months, so I signed up! At a later date, I was going through receipts in my car and I questioned this again, so I contacted their # which is 1-833-712-1747. I spoke to a very helpful gal who mentioned that I may possibly be given a free month for the mix up, as she transferred me to a James at their corporate office. He said, it's incorrect what the employee told me and it's $15.00 EACH month for 3 months. It's exactly what I had originally thought. James with his cockiness felt superior to the customer over the phone, as if the customer is at fault for "hearing" the special incorrectly, although I reiterated with their employee a few times about their current special. I don't think James thought I'd cancel my membership over the phone with him, as my family has been with this company on and off for several years. I most likely would not have cancelled, but due to James superior attitude and his desperate need to feel like a big man, I'll now suggest for James taking a class on phone etiquette and tact, as he has no personality dealing with customers. James, if I can give you any helpful advice; I'd suggest just sit back, take a deep breathe, look up at the ceiling and get up out of your chair, then walk over to the nearest mirror and lean in, take a close look and say to yourself; I probably need to stay the F off of the phone.
