This place tried to scam me into paying for labor and parts that were not necessary. This place is so pathetic it's unreal. The day after I dropped my vehicle off they said it would need parts and I told the guy (Tom) that there wasn't any need for parts and rather than go and verify the matter (likely because he's in on the scamming along with the owner Todd Hanson and whatever the fat technicians name is) he just quoted me $257 in labor, outside of parts. Sad thing is Tom could see my parts were nearly new in his computer but he was too ignorant to even check the service history. But it get worse. Tom told me I needed a right lower ball joint (the first of many lies). So I gave these pieces of trash the benefit of the doubt like any decent person would do, and I drive it 20miles one way back to my mechanics house. The reason I brought my truck to hansons in the first place was because my mechanic just installed control arms and upper ball joints. Anyway, the mechanic of over 40years experience verifies there's nothing wrong and called hansons to tell them they had made a mistake. Idk who he spoke with but they told him that the left lower needed to be replaced (not the right this time), that the lowers were original parts (despite them having been replaced and hansons has the service records for the alignment affiliated with the replacement), and that there were grease fittings missing. Oh and I just remembered Tom told me his tech said there was play up down left and right with that lower right he was telling me about. So I drove it back 20miles from my mechanics to hansons and they brought me into the shop and put my truck on the lift and they all surrounded me and started clucking like a bunch of caged chickens, it was disgusting. I called them out on their lies and they asked me to leave.... so I went to another shop and they obviously didn't say anything was wrong and were happy to have my business. I should probably tell you about the last time I was at hansons though. It was also the first time, and the only time they did anything to one of my vehicles. They used to have a service manager named Lenny or something - he doesn't work there anymore, my guess is he got fired for being honest. When I replaced my lower ball joints less than a year ago the technician tried pulling the same scam, and said I needed to have the uppers done, but my mechanic verified it that was not the case, and I shared that with Lenny and he had the alignment done for me.
