One needs to walk a little inside to find it. We had bought tickets online, so at the shop, I just had to buy a pair of gloves (€3). A mask must be worn at the shop. They also provide a locker free of charge but with a €5 refundable deposit. There are portable toilets near the back of the park next to the car parking lot. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. They helped us wear the harness and gave us instructions. They also gave us the helmets. We didn't need to wear masks while doing the courses. They kindly showed us the way to course 1. We did courses 1, 2 and 4. Courses 3 and 5 were available only in the presence of an instructor. Course 1 and 2 have a zip line at the end. Course 4 does not have it; there's a simple wooden staircase at the end. Overall it was easy and doable. I struggled a bit on one of the bridges in course 4. It needed a lot of upper body strength. We finished course 4 and were too tired to go for course 6. We returned back to the shop area and returned our harnesses and helmets. We emptied our locker and bought some ice cream in the hot summer weather at the shop. We spent about 2 hours at the place. Overall it was a fun experience and we'd love to visit Kletterwald again!

My favourite is trampoline. This place is very big. They have area for babies, slides for older kids, sky trail for adventurous kids, aqua-paddler for amphibian kids, electro carts for speedy kids, massive labyrinth for disoriented kids and bagger for Bob The Builder fans. A few things I don't like: can be very crowded on weekend. You can't bring your own food. Considering that this place is not cheap (8.5 eur for a kid and 5.5 eur for adult) plus having a meal at their restaurant makes it much more expensive than going to movies. Otherwise, excelent bad weather option, enjoyed by kids and adults alike.

It is remotely located in Aumühle (about 30 min drive from Hamburg), just being in raw nature was such a pleasure for this city girl. We were then instructed on how to put on our full body climbing harness - leg loops as well as over the shoulders - giving me the feeling that I was completely safe! After a short instruction we climbed up, up, up - heights ranging from 6 - 14 meters and started our course. Just to mention a few elements, there were log bridges with nothing to hold on to, hanging ropes, a climbing wall and a bicycle hanging at about 14 meters above ground. Your brain knows you are completely safe hanging from your harness, but this information doesn't successfully reach your body, while trying to balance across a swinging rope bridge having to jump from board to board and seeing the abyss through the gaps. It was thrilling!!! This park is great for all ages - there is even a little course for kids under 8. The main focus is for ages 8 - 99 ;) making it the perfect outing for a mixed group of families, single people, teenagers, their friends and their friends' parents. :)) the more the merrier, because 90 people can climb at a time! Safety is of great importance here. All the ropes and equipment are well maintained, so even though it looks dangerous, you could literally let even your youngest dare devils test their courage - only requirement is 120cm for the green and blue courses and 150 cm for the red and black courses. I myself HAVE to go back, after finishing the green, blue and red courses I was so tired, I just couldn't do the black one anymore. WARNING: you will have SEVERE sore muscles the following two days!!

Worth noting that they only have the ATR belay device is the only one they have so if you aren't conversant with it, its probably best to bring your own; although in my opinion is quite easy to learn to use The gym has really high walls and lots of hang overs. There were some pretty great routes! The climbs are guaged in the French difficulty rating. Unfortunately we went to top rope and there aren't that many routes to do so; mainly because upstairs was closed off that day for classes and also that a lot of the gym is setup for lead climbing. If you are lead climbing, its excellent. Cost wise we paid 15 euros to use the gym for the day.
