When you are visiting the beautiful town of Gars am Kamp in the Kamptal, you have a few good places…read moreto eat. The restaurant and konditorei Ehrenberger is one of the most renowned and decidedly so. It is located on the Dreifaltigheitplatz (Trinity Square) which is right near the River Kamp and the Kur Park where the well-known Falco statue is located. The bakery is famous for its Mohnzuzler sweets (poppyseed pastries) but the Schanigarten and restaurant are equally as good. I enjoyed a really nice Eiernockerl and salat here with of course a fine Kamptal Grüner Veltliner wine to accompany the food. Service was great despite the many people dining in this attractive outdoor cafe on a beautiful spring day.
