Absolutely one of the most luxurious apt complexes I've ever visited. Front desk staff are very friendly and welcoming to new guests. They are attentive to your needs and gets things done asap. Large 1bd apartment, brand new design with granite countertop, stainless steel appliances, in-unit wash & dryer, built-in desk (wfh), walk-in closet, jacuzzi bath tub, city-view balcony. That's not even it, the amenities includes: indoor gym, outdoor pool at the deck, 2 sky indoor entertainment rooms at the rooftop, outdoor bbq space with a grill, theater room. These are my windows during the freeze (pictures attached). They were freezing cold and kept no heat in. The heat also doesn't circulate properly throughout the apartment. Additionally, the neighbor smokes inside and we can smell it through our bathroom vent and nothing is done. We have a 3 week old and a 19 month old and this has honestly been the worst experience. With the amount they charge for rent, I'm pretty aggravated to say the least. Oh and the microwave also broke and it took 3 weeks to fix it. And this is all on top of the other issues that have yet to be addressed. Candidly I don't think management cares at all and their response to our concerns of an unsafe living space for our children is that some apartments are more "lived in". I've lived in rentals before and I've never seen one with such poor conditions - the floors, the lamps, the molding, the countertops - literally everything is damaged. How is this ok. Anyway whatever - this was just an extremely poor decision on our end and we should have done more due diligence about this apartment complex before moving in. read more

I've moved many times and lived in apartment complexes all over the country. This is the best apartment building I've ever lived in. Staff are great. Building is modern, and amenities are fabulous (rooftop pool is awesome). We had a wonderful view from our balcony on the 10th floor. It is also located in one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Houston. Super convenient commute to my job in the medical center. You will not be disappointed if you move here! I have lived here almost a month now, and I am extremely happy that I chose Hanover Southampton as my new home. This place has a beautiful resort like feel. The roof top pool deck is very relaxing, breezy even on hot days. Makes you feel like you are on a tropical island in the middle of the city. The staff made me feel welcome from the first day I came to look at these places, and that did not change after I moved in. They are very busy, but always make me feel like this is my home. We have lived here since June 2016 and love it. The location is great, our apartment is spacious, and everyone (staff and residents) is friendly and professional. We have been particularly surprised at how quiet our apartment is--we never hear noise from surrounding apartments. We have been very satisfied with the maintenance staff and their response to any issues. I do like the app that allows us to submit any routine requests electronically, but I've also had no problem getting quick service for any "emergency" matters. Overall, we've had very few issues. We do not take advantage of the twelfth floor amenities as much as we should, but we do use the gym and occasionally work at the conference table during the day, and at the times we are there, neither area is too crowded. It has been a long time since I have lived in an apartment, so while the rental price seems high, I have nothing to compare it to. We certainly plan to renew our lease--can't beat the location, the view and the privacy! read more

We just recently leased a wonderful 2 BR apartment at the Hanover Southampton in West University. Here are my top ten (10) reasons why you should consider living here if you can afford it and are looking for a 5 star luxury building. First, the leasing process was amazing. We live in NYC and have experience dealing with luxury rental buildings. The service and attentiveness from Elizabeth Baxter was absolutely top notch. Most importantly, she was gracious with her time, she explained everything for us and she was proactive, yet not the least bit pushy. Second, after the lease process is completed, Elizabeth dos not not just move on to the next customer. She takes the initiative and effort to build lasting relationships with everyone she bring into the building. It's really nice to have her as an addional point of contact. On the first day of our lease, Elizabeth delivered a bottle of wine, two wine glasses and a "welcome" note. Third, the staff in the building are genuinely nice and always there to offer a helping hand. We rented the apartment for my mother-in-law, who is new to living in a luxury apartment highrise. It's extremely comforting that the staff and neighbors in the building look out for one another. She has already started making friends with other people in the building and was even invited to a neighbor's 80th birthday party in the rooftop lounge. Fourth, the common areas, such as the pool, courtyard, lounges, gym and the screening room are all extremely well built and immaculately maintained. Everything is in line with what you might see in a 5 star boutique hotel. Fifth, the building is occupied by a wide range of people, including young couples, professionals, people who work at the medical center and retirees. The building is also pet friendly, which we were pleased to learn. For couples with young children, this location is zoned to West University Elementary School - a top rated elementary school in Texas. Sixth, the apartments are large and contain high-end finishes/appliances. The apartment we leased has super high ceilings, ceiling fans in both bedrooms, plenty of instaled lighting, a full washer/dryer set housed in a small laundry room / supply storage area. There is also ample indoor parking, which is great on extra hot/humid days. Seventh, the building and parking lots are safe and secure. Key cards are needed to open all entrances and to use the elevator. Security cameras also cover the garage and and the interior access doors. Also, because there are only 206 units, people tend to notice more quickly when someone enters the building that looks out of place. Eighth, the Hanover Southampton is centrally located within Rice Village. There are tons of dining and shopping options within walkimg distance. Food delivery is also simple to navigate because the concierge calls you before the delivery person comes up. This process also prevents random people from walking inand staying in the building. The concierge also has access to cold storage, which is very helpful if you are expecting the delivery of perishable items. Ninth, it was extremely important for us to lease in a luxury building that had a neighborly feel to it. All of the staff are friendly and unpretentious. They also organize frequent events in the building aimed at helping tenants to get to know one another. Tenth and finally, it's just a very cool place to live that will impress your friends, family and social media followers. The service is excellent from both the concierge and leasing office agents who are always willing to help out or give friendly advice. The amenities are beautiful and always well kept. We have lived here about 5 months. We have been very pleased. The building itself is beautiful and well maintained. The building lives more like a condo than an apartment. We previously lived in a high rise condo that we owned - we like this much better. The concierge staff is very helpful and professional, managing packages/deliveries and dealing with guests or other requests. On three occasions, I had a minor maintenance request that was promptly addressed, without me having to be home to let the repairman in. Great location, with many restaurants & shopping to walk to. The leasing process was straightforward. No complaints, we are glad we made the move! read more

We just moved into the Hanover Southampton a couple of months ago and we absolutely love it here! Their apartments and amenities are top of the line. Along with that, their 24 hour concierge is outstanding and is willing to do just about anything for you. I have not had a single poor experience thus far. They are very friendly and extremely trustworthy. After debating between living in a house or an apartment for this year, I recently told my husband having this quality of concierge is worth it alone to live in an apartment! We can't thank them enough for everything they do. If you are interested in luxurious apartment style living, in a fabulous area (the heart of Rice Village) look no further! We are staying here for medical treatment and are here for about 2 months. The staff is very helpful with anything you need. Since this is a sublet they have been very good going between the owner of the apt and the tenant to make our stay enjoyable. We are in a one bedroom right now and moving to a 2 bedroom in a few days. The one bedroom unit we are in is small but nicely appointed. Everything is new. We are looking forward to moving to a bigger unit since we are use to having more space and we will then have room for family to visit for a day or 2. All public areas are immaculate including the parking garage. Maintenance is prompt when called. The area around the complex offers restaurants and shopping. The only con I could find is that since the building is still under construction, some areas are not complete as of now , such as the gym which will be resolved soon. Very quite (even with construction and bad weather) great views and they have a great area to walk your small dog with a play area and an area to give fido a bath if needed. If i had to stay long term, this would be an excellent choice. read more
