Sweet tea- solid 8/10 very similar to chick-fil-a tea. Sweet chicken & French toast - solid 5/10 the chicken is really good, the French toast is a bit burnt and they use some kind of spicy sauce on the French toast which throws the taste off and kinda ruins it. There's a big central eating area with plenty of tables and seating options in the food hall. Or, you can sit at the coffee shop counter. Cool, hip vibe overall in an up and coming part of Knoxville. Baristas asked about intolerances and allergies before making a recommendation. Can substitute various milks/products and SF options are available. Also tried a strawberry cream cheese pastry (heated). Everything was excellent! I think I'm addicted to Black Bears now!

At around 11:00 am, I walked over and grabbed a seat at the bar, because all of the other tables and booths were filled with happy diners. On one side of the menu you have your breakfast, and the other has everything you'd want for lunch. I started with my usual cup of coffee, and then opted for the two eggs, toast and bacon. For a place that was packed, my food didn't take very long to come out. Everything was delicious, and I especially loved that they had an option for marble rye toast. Sally, my waitress, was the sweetest. She took great care of me and made sure my first time here was perfect!! I also loved their hanging lights and sweet Valentines decor, which was a nice touch. I will certainly be back, and hats off again to you Sally!!

The drink options were the best. Most places only offer sodas and so this was a place with multiple cleaner options and I appreciated it since I don't drink soda. They also offer daily fresh flavored water options for free. I wish there was one of these closer to my house because it would be the perfect spot ofter the gym. They do have information on food allergies so that was a plus. Not sure if they are a franchise.
