Bill, the owner came out in person to replace a broken lock on our patio door. You cannot tell that there was ever any work done on the door, that's how good it looks. And, the new lock functions perfectly. I have an older Sunsetter Awning and needed the fabric replaced on it. It's approximately 14' x 9'. He asked me several questions about it. I told Steve that I needed replacement fabric installed, and would be happy to get a price on the fabric itself from him, as well as the installation. He told me that it's really not that hard to change myself. He suggested I call Sunsetter and order it... then just get somebody to help me install it. Steve said "I just can't really make any money doing that." Honestly I was a little surprised by the response. I had even asked him about potentially purchasing a new awning in my original voicemail. Steve was polite, but I just got the impression he was not interested. Just a suggestion though... If I was interested in doing it myself, I would not have called. In my own business, if someone calls and it's not something that we can handle, we at least try to refer them to a local company that can help them. Also, small customers that aren't spending as much money initially, often times worked into loyal customers who spend more money down the road.
