Okay, this place is the real dang deal…read more Every time we've visited we felt taken care of - which is important and really is the whole point, right? The staff starting with phone calls, front entry, and all the way up to the doctor -- holy cow, so friendly while simultaneously being absolute professionals! I also felt like they were very focused on us and were great at listening and explaining. They may not specifically be a pediatric allergy group but they are MAGNIFICENT with my kids. Truly. Speaking to them with respect and care and all interactions were great. Not to mention the huge bonus that I could also receive care here at the same time as my kids! Cannot say enough wonderful things about this clinic. If you're looking for asthma + allergy care you should give this place a chance.

I have just developer adult shellfish allergy in 2017 and ended up having anaphlactic shock from shrimp . I really wanted to see if I was still allergic and so Dr Tanklersley and Dr kristie took all the blood test and pin pricks. I still had it but not too bad. So I ate 6 shrimp today over a 2 hour period and did good till the last couple of minutes. I did have a reaction to all of our disappointment. But they took all my vitals and got me out of my allergic condition state . I thought I was doomed forever from eating my favorite food . Dr Tankersley has started doing immunotherapy on people who do t want to live with my allergyor many other food allergies like nuts , gluten , dairy etc . It will start in 2 weeks and I have all the trust and faith in him and all of the staff there. I will keep you advised in a couple of weeks of my progress. But I would highly recommend him and his entire great staff.

If you have a child on dupixent and/or you are seeking allergy care/consultation for a child, RUN…read morefar away from McCulley Allergy. In a town like Memphis that is known for renown children's medical care, it is such a shame that institutions like McCulley Allergy exist in the same metro area. I will go and add a spoiler here, too: call MidSouth ENT and Allergy (901-755-5300). INCREDIBLE with children. We started our eczema journey when my child was 18 months old in 2022. After months of every type of cream, steroids, allergy testing, eliminating harmful chemicals in my home, we started dupixent shots at the East Memphis location with Dr. Zelig. Dr. Zelig has since moved to SC - and with that, all of the great bedside manner for children went with him. McCulley staff initially did the dupixent shots on my daughter (now 2 years old) - but the shot is designed for parents to do at home, so the staff really belitted me and made me feel like a nuisance coming in to get these shots. At the time, the EM receptionist (not the current one) NEVER answered the phone; she was generally just bad at her job (she's no longer there). I was willing to pay our $35 copay just to have another individual inject the traumatic shot on our daughter. After a few months of this, I eventually succumbed to doing the shots at home and our daughter developed extreme anxiety to bath time, bedtime...thinking that we were going to give her this shot. After consulting with our pediatrician, he strongly advised us to stop doing the shots at home as we were infringing on our daughter's "safe space." He warned that this could create a deeper anxiety issue. I went back to McCulley. This time, we went to the Germantown clinic, as the EM clinic is only part time and they always seemed overwhelmed. We were met with the same rude receptionist that is described in the other reviews. I persisted. We came in every 4 weeks. Then, one Saturday, I saw that they were open, so we arrived to McCulley to get the Dupixent shot. The overwhelmed shot nurse (African American, very pretty) looked at me and said, "Oh, we don't do those shots on Saturdays." The shot schedule is posted on business cards, signage; it does not differentiate between biologics and allergy shots. By this point, my daughter is in a full panic, screaming, realizing that she's going to get the shot. I pleaded with them. I explained how our pediatrician advised for us (mom and dad) to NOT do it because she it was causing such panic and anxiety in our 4 year old. The nurse just argued with me. She showed no sympathy for this scared little girl. I continued to stand my ground. Eventually, they gave her the shot, but said that they were really "doing me a favor" and they would look into "maybe" changing the shot schedule to be more specific. I left that office feeling helpless that this was our only option for dupixent. In late 2024/early 2025, we decide to go back to the EM clinic (the receptionist here is LOVELY; the only bright spot for this group). It's manageable for about 6 months. The EM receptionist is the only kind one - we see this as a win that we have one individual being kind to our 4 year old who still hates this shot. In June, my husband took my daughter for her shot in EM. My daughter is panicking, per usual. The staff seems annoyed that she has to be put in a room. My husband (who is always telling me to stay calm) comes home and says that the nurse looked at my daughter and said, "come on now. you are 5 and you can't act like this anymore." Completely dismissing my child. You know it's bad if my pretty chill husband comments on it considering all we had experienced prior to this. At that point, I was done. I also leave this with a message for Dr. McCulley and her staff: shame on you. One of the biggest blessings of 2025 is that we are now free from this cesspool of a clinic. Perhaps use the money dedicated to clinic expansion and use it on some training and development of your current staff.

My appointment was at 12:30, the office requested I arrive at 12:00 so I could do paperwork, totally understandable because I am a new patient. I arrived at 11:50 AM and started my paperwork, the receptionist was nice. Once that was done I was told that the nurse would come get me, cool. An HOUR later a nurse finally comes to get me and take me to a room (it is not 1:55 PM), she was nice and very friendly. Upon entering a patient room she took my blood pressure and asked me a few questions then told me that the doctor would be right in. Once again I was left to sit, though not without entertainment. The walls of this office are paper thin so I heard everything going on in the rooms around me. 2:00 PM I finally see my doctor who I was scheduled to meet with at 12:30, he gave a half hearted apology and started discussing my issues. The doctor was very nice and informative, once we were done talking after around twenty minutes he said he was going to do a skin test and the nurse would be in shortly. I never saw the nurse or the doctor again, only a nurse who came by to ask about getting some test results from my primary physician. I was left alone will I finally decided that I could not spend the whole day there, so at 3:30 PM, I decided to go to the front desk and "reschedule" my appointment. The nurses at the front were surprised at this and tried to get me to stay because they had just received the fax with my test results. When I mentioned how long I had been there they did not seem to care. And while I did reschedule my appointment, I will be calling soon and canceling it and finding an another allergist in the area who cares about a patients time and does not leave them sitting in a room for several hours with no kind of update. So if you have several hours to kill, go here. Make sure you bring a book or you can just listen to the staff and patients in the other rooms.

Many of the "well known" doctors practice here- Lieberman, Blaiss, McCulley and Duncan. I took my boys here for several years and was often frustrated with the practice vs the practitioners. It's a large practice and the staff service several doctors which made me feel like a number vs a patient. The front desk staff is not the friendliest and sometimes I sat in the waiting room for over an hour before I even got to a exam room. That is not very pleasant with children. So, for the office staff and inefficiency I give them 2 stars but for Dr. McCulley I give it three stars. Dr McCulley is a female doctor who is great with kids! She has children of her own and can relate from a parental perspective. and I really like her nurse practitioner Regina. It took me three years to discover Regina and I was very pleased with the level of care she provided. If they had their own practice they would still be my providers. I got frustrated with the wait times and recently found the benefits of going to a doctor with his own practice.
