I was left waiting for long periods of time without knowing what to expect; I found out my MT appt. was delayed only after I asked (10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start). Some staff members offer to refill coffee/tea; some leave that up to clients. In spite of the miscommunication, I left with the impression that staff here aim to please and I'd certainly consider a return visit. The location offers free parking and the RMT room is peaceful and relaxing. Note - the single bathroom offered for client use needs a new toilet seat! Otherwise - everything seems very clean and well maintained.

So, I was waiting to hear back from the owner to give her an opportunity to rectify the situation…read morebut after a week of waiting, she has told me there will be no rectification. I made my daughter a hair appointment for her birthday with the salon owner, Katarin, who has cut her hair once in the past to fix one of her employees botched cuts and at that time really did a great job. Now moving forward to this one that was a little too technical for her I guess, my daughter has very long hair and she requested long layers with a few face framing and some curtain bangs but wanted to keep the length. She also expressed that she doesn't use heat on her hair so needed something low maintenance. 2 hours and $130 ($15 tip included) She left with what she thought was an ok-ish haircut but not until she got home did she realize how awful it really was. Her hair looked choppy and uneven, her bangs are an absolute disaster and far too short to do anything with and a razor must have been used incorrectly because her hair went from looking super healthy to looking like every hair had split ends. When I was done listening to her cry, I booked her in with my stylist who confirmed my conclusion of a botched job. Feeling that a haircut that should have been simple shouldn't cost me $200, I called the salon to request a partial refund as I did believe that the time put in (albeit, 2 hours on a simple haircut is outrageous in my opinion) I felt she should be paid for partial time, well, She thought different. She told me she did nothing wrong, asked my why my adult daughter isn't calling herself and why she wasn't given the opportunity to fix it. Well I will tell you Katarin, I called and booked the appointment, I paid for the appointment, it was a gift from me and she was unhappy with the cut but has a nice relationship with you so was scared a to offend. Also, in my opinion, why on earth would you go back to someone to fix a mistake they made but still don't see? So you can do irreparable damage??? Makes no sense. Anyway, Katarin started off kind enough to listen but her tone definitely changed as my complaint went on. I guess when it comes to hair and what you want as opposed to what you get at this salon, really is a suggestion rather than a fact or want. We will not be back for another $115 botched haircut and to be questioned rudely by the one who calls the shots.

I was considering perming my hair but I had damaged my hair by bleaching it a couple of years ago…read more Lynn explained that the chemicals from a perm could actually cause it to break off which would have been really bad. They took good…read morecare of me after I'd made quite a mess fiddling with pin curls, and tamed what was a complete mess into something rather elegant indeed. The place was well-designed, with manicures set up near the door, and a wall for privacy for people getting their hair done. The hair-washing bowls looked far more comfortable than the standard ones (being tall, I loathe scrunching down to fit in most of them), and there were private rooms to the back of the shop for spa treatments. Elena (I'm sorry if I got this wrong, I am terrible with names!) was a lot of fun to talk to, as well; it seems the art of conversation is something a lot of stylists have lost, but not her. She also gave me some good tips on how to manage my hair in future, things easily done at home. When I need a haircut or a style again, I am definitely going here.

I had gone to another cheaper nail salon and mentioned my ankle and they just ignored it entirely. The ladies at Chic are professional and accommodating. They take a lot of care to make sure you're comfortable and they do a great job. I haven't had hair services here, I mainly have gone for the Aveda Mani/Pedis, they are AMAZING (Lindsay & Meghan are awesome!), I've done the express mani/pedi as well, also great. I've had my brows waxed and a number of elemental facials, all fantastic experiences. The only thing I would say negatively, is that when you're in the back room for a facial, you can hear a lot going on in the salon, so it's not super 'peaceful', but it's still great! I would recommend this salon and spa (and have) to all my family and friends. (I do believe they accept walk-ins, but I always book in advance) - little tip - if you're interested in a Mani/Pedi go to the "Packages" tab on the website and book a "Basics" package, it's an extra couple bucks, but you get an eyebrow wax included. **Update** I have since had my hair styled here for my brothers wedding, they did a great job! I also had my makeup done, and it was done beautifully.
