I met the most adorable family who gave us pleasant service that guarantees I'll be ordering from them soon. While there, we sampled the Chicago Mix, Orange Cream (a true dream for sherbet lovers, recommended by their daughter), Birthday Surprise and Blueberry Cheesecake. Other flavors available for sampling where Caramel, Caramel w/Nuts, Chocolate SeaSalt Pretzel, Chocolate Smothered, Pumpkin Spice, Lemon Drop, Coconut Macaroni, Cheddar White & Orange, Hot Buffalo and Sour Cream & Onion. You can order online and I strongly suggest that you check them out if they're participating in the Winter Farmer's Market in Pickerington, which begins next week. I can honestly say that every single item brought out the full flavor, as expected. An absolute must for popcorn lovers or anyone that just likes a tasty snack. As always, "Tell 'em Kenny sent ya!"

Many, if not all, of the flavors were available to sample. My son sampled and enjoyed several of the more exotic flavors, while I stuck with the sweeter varieties. Unfortunately, I didn't care for any of the popcorn that I tried. I'm not really sure why. I love caramel corn, but the flavors just didn't seem bold enough to me. Perhaps it didn't impress me because I'll be forever comparing popcorn to the gold standard - Garrett's Popcorn in Chicago. And let's face it, if you've ever had Garrett's, you'll agree that there is just no comparison. Still, I rated this place four stars because the staff was great, the shop was cute, and while the popcorn was indeed good, it just didn't blow me away.

I tried the Merry Mint popcorn - a mint extract sugar coating with chocolate drizzled about. It wasn't too bad. Of course, I wasn't present when she stopped at the brick and mortar shop to ask questions as to what they use to flavor the different popped corn, so I'm not sure if it's all natural, liquid flavorings, a heap load of sugar, or what. And, the mint was not the traditional caramel kind, so my experience remains limited. If in the neighborhood, and in need of a small gift for family or friends, seems the flavored popcorns would be a good idea...

In addition to the apples themselves, they sell freshly pressed cider (they were pressing and bottling it while we were where there). I especially enjoyed some of the softer and sweeter jerkies as well as the vegan jerky. My favorite samples were in the Smokehouse BBQ section of the store and included the "Korean Pork", "Honey BBQ beef", and "Honey Turkey" flavors. I definitely recommend sampling/buying those 3 flavors. I also enjoyed their Sweet and Savory flavors, particularly the "Cherry Maple" flavor. They even have several vegan options which are just as good if not better than some of their regular jerky. The employees were also nice and friendly. You can see them making the pretzels fresh from scratch, skillfully shaping them in one quick, fluid motion. These are probably the best soft pretzels I've ever had! The traditional pretzel had a bit of a crunchy crust on the outside with a soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet interior. It was dipped in a vat of butter and had just the right amount of salt. The cheddar cheese sauce that I ordered on the side paired perfectly with it (tasting better than the highly processed nacho cheese sauce, but they have that as option too). I also tried the cinnamon sugar pretzel, which was delicious and had a generous coating of it, but I still like the traditional more. These pretzels are top notch and I would absolutely come back anytime I'm in the area (and maybe try the pretzel dog next time)!
