I asked Seattle Dryer Vent Cleaning to clean my dryer vents because I was my dryer was taking a…read morelong time to dry my clothes for the past year or more. My dryer was old (23.5 years) so first I got a new dryer. However, when that didn't help I tried to clean the dryer vent myself. I discovered that my dryer vent exits on the roof of my house - so I realized I needed to hire someone. As I researched companies, I discovered there is a vast range of pricing and expertise available. The cheaper companies (~$150) won't go on the roof and often only clean the vent from one side. Although Seattle Dryer Vent is not the cheapest, they are knowledgable about what they do and they do a thorough job. The technician arrived on time, was pleasant, and seemed to immediately know what the problem would be when I explained the problem I was having with drying my clothes. It turns out the the builders (my home was built in 2002) hadn't removed a mesh screen from the vent on the roof which was preventing my vents from fulling expelling the dryer lint out the end of the vent. The technician removed the screen as part of the service. Thanks to Seattle Dryer Vent Cleaning company, my clothes now dry in a reasonable amount of time. They were professional, knowledgable, and friendly and I would recommend them to others.

They charged me a ton of money and caused more issues than they fixed. However Seattle Dryer Vent Cleaning came out and thankfully fixed all the problems beautifully and for less money than the bad company charged me. I can't recommend these guys enough - they are expert technicians with great communication and easy scheduling. I'm feeling very relieved to have safe, working vents now.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Enticed by the $29 duct cleaning advertisement, I was quickly being…read moreupsold by one of two shady guys who showed up at my home. There was not an ounce of professionalism in his pitch or their appearance. It seemed to me that they spent much of the first 5 minutes scoping out everything in my garage - except the furnace. When I finally agreed to pay to have the ducts brushed out, they came in with a power drill mounted brush snake and a shop vac. Negative pressure as advertised? Nope. The shop vac only had a 6' hose on it that was supposed to suck everything out of my lengthy ducts.... I don't think so. I am a very good read of people and these guys felt wrong from the start. One guy - a young kid who just started the job - just stood around while the other guy go began removing vent covers around the house. He got annoyed with my detailed questioning of his equipment and methods - especially after I refused to go for the $300+ dollar cleaning and sanitation he was pushing. As it was, I was going to pay $175 just to have the ducts brushed out. It did not feel good to have them in my home and before they had 2 vent covers off I'd had enough. I kicked them out and as they were packing up he had the nerve to tell me that I owed him $30 for the "service call." DON'T WASTE YOU TIME WITH THIS BS COMPANY.

He was rude and unprofessionall, snapping back at us when we told him for the third time that we didnt have the money to pay for the additional services. This is not the service I was expecting, when he finally found that we weren't going to pay . . he sat at the table, demanded his money, and put on his ipod headphones. Unbelievable behavior!

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, HIRE THIS COMPANY. I wish I could give them zero stars. Travis and…read morehis crew were actually recommended to me by by builder (pretty sure they'll never use them again either). Like the previous reviewer, my process started out fine. They got me a quote quickly, and went out to do the job (fire sprinkler tenting) within a couple days. Then things started going down hill. The tenting failed inspection 4 different times, plus another instance in which the inspector just walked away because he could tell nothing had been done since his last visit, AND a meeting in which the inspector met with the owner of the company and told him EXACTLY what to do to pass. This all took close to 3 weeks, and absolutely killed my construction time line. I should have fired them after the first or second failure. My mistake. PS. The address and phone # on this page are not correct. The address on their letterhead is 1501 S 92nd PL Seattle 98108, and their phone # is 206-257-3003. The number on this listing is the owner's cell phone.

He explained the benefits and costs of combining closed cell foam with unfaced insulation in the floor joist bays, laid out the phases in writing, and was always available for questions via email. The work crews showed up on consecutive weekdays, first for removal of existing insulation, second for spraying the foam, and third for the unfaced batts and duct sealing. The crews were courteous and fast and never requested anything from me, although I did offer. As an experienced DIY homeowner and architectural design student, I was fully aware of the science behind the product installation and the results have been as expected. Reduced heater usage over the fall/winter, quieter floors, and no doubt increased home value. When discussing your proposed project with Scott, please make sure to request information about rebates, energy audits, and any other financial benefits of the work. Also, do your homework before meeting with him so you can have some idea of what to expect. A crawlspace may not be the first place people think to perform an energy upgrade, but an unfit crawl could be costing you big dollars in wasted energy. The overall job was not large, and the invoice total was reasonable. I would easily recommend your next crawlspace upgrade project to Scott at Performance.
