The project I sought help with was primarily to paint my 6' x 6' bathroom one color on the walls and white on the trim. I was quoted a price range between $2,100 and $2,600 (which included a couple of small non-painting tasks). I was told it would probably fall somewhere in the middle. That was acceptable to me. However, the "blind" laborer they sent (I hesitate to call him a painter), made such a mess of my bathroom that it looked like I painted it. And I am a horrible painter! I was livid and terribly unhappy. He had told me the day before that he just needed to clean up a few places and it would take about an hour. You be the judge of that. (I have included pictures). I admit the last day he came, I was very angry and did cuss him out. I had just gotten a closer look at the horrible job he had done. He had the audacity to be offended by my language but didn't have a problem with his inferior workmanship. As a matter of fact, he didn't think it was that bad! After he fixed the problems he saw, I pointed out the places that still needed fixing. He kept making snarky remarks about me only finding 5 places that still needed attention! If he had been better at his job, should there even have been one? Did I really need to tell him his job? Obviously, I did! At least, he DID make it look better than the attached pictures. Not perfect, but better and it took 4 hours--not one! I called the office to complain. The sanctimonious woman I talked to encouraged me to allow him to fix the problems and go from there. She had a problem with my language as well. I sure hope she likes the language I used in this review! We ended up having words too (I admit I cussed HER out as well). These people don't seem to understand how thoroughly upsetting it is to have your house look like 5-year olds finger-painted your bathroom at a price of $2,400. I am fed up with shoddy workmanship. Houses are not inexpensive and neither are the repairs. Owners would, at least, like it to look nice afterward. This employee, Jim Thompson, took 4 days to do this very small job. And one of those days was spent cleaning up the mess made the prior 3 days. One would think it would have looked better! Keep in mind, these pictures are only a sampling--not the entire room!!! I WOULD NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I WOULD CERTAINLY NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!! If I could have given less than one star, I certainly would have! I predict they will go out of business soon! I also predict their Teflon owner, ORLEY PAXTON, (who doesn't seem to take negative reviews well), will be sarcastic and unapologetic! Read the reviews and his replies. Why is it so hard to find good craftsmen? I had other projects to complete and was hoping to be able to use this company in the future. I'll keep looking, thank you! Orley is actually quite humorous. I did not hire your handyman to do any "work under the table" you were paid in two installments on my cc as we agreed to. Did I hire his helper? Yes. There was nothing in the contract stating I couldn't hire a helper that was not contracted through HH. I would think for the 50% you get out of each job, you could've at least come out and looked at the finished product. Re: the Utah location- Tile installer was a very nice guy, but did such a poor job installing our subway tile on our kitchen wall. There are multiple issues (dried mortar that was left on our new cabinets, multiple cracked tile, weird wavy look to the wall) with our kitchen wall tile that we're just living with for now until we can tear it all down and start over. Management has a policy to give their workers another chance to fix the problem if the customer isn't happy, which for us, led to another awkward visit by the same tile installer after we complained. We just let him "fix" the problems so we wouldn't have to deal with the guy or company any more. Bottom line is, it was our cheapest option, and we definitely got what we paid for. read more

They had been recommended by my painter. Very professional on the phone and very clear with the communication about how they work. Called to remind me the day before. Their guy never showed up. When I called to inquire, they texted him and then called me back 15 minutes later to say they got ahold of him and he forgot. They didn't understand why he forgot because they had confirmed with him the day before. By this point, he was on to his next appointment so they couldn't get anyone out to me for several hours. Offered me $20 off in addition to their coupon. Pretty disappointed as I had several jobs I would have given them. The appointment was made 5 days ago and confirmed once by phone and once by e-mail. No, I was not satisfied and reiterated that many times, through the phone calls and email. And yes, we did pay over $13000 as we had too pay for the materials ourselves. I too have records of this. I told Dave I wasn't happy with the work and had him fix one of the tiles that was absolutely abhorrent, immediately. This is the tile he failed to come back and grout, as he said he would and is photographed. I also told him at the time of "completion" that I was unhappy he had left the caulking undone. He never once ok'd this with me, just sprung it on me as he was leaving. I had had a strange man in my house for months, who never came "early" when he said he would and left most days by 3. Do you blame me for wanting him just to be done?! He dragged his feet on everything. My numerous texts and messages to him went ignored and your "4 voicemails to me that went unanswered" were left while we were on vacation. Of course they were unanswered and I told whomever as much when we got home and returned the call. It's unfair for you to allude I never returned the call. I also wrote a lengthy email to you on your "final follow-up" about how unhappy I was which was never answered. If you were in fact interested in customer satisfaction, you would have been proactive and called me to resolve my unhappiness, not gotten defensive when I wrote an honest review. We wanted to share our horrible experience with Handyman Hub. We needed to have some grout repaired, they came out to do an estimate and we hired them for the job. The person they sent to do the job told us to wait three days before using the shower. When my husband finally tried it, the grout started washing off the wall immediately. He called Handyman Hub and they sent the same guy again, this time he seemed intoxicated. He re-grouted the tile and then told my husband to buy sealant for the grout himself...something they told us they would do in their original estimate. My husband did as instructed, and the grout washed off the wall again. They sent another guy for the third attempt. When it dried, the grout was two very different colors. While this was going on, my husband was in regular contact with the owners of Handyman Hub. They were often nice, but repeatedly mixed up details, forgot to call back and never apologized for their mistakes (beyond those of the contractors they sent to our home). On the fourth attempt, the owner asked for more money to finish the job! When my husband pointed out that we had paid in full already, weeks ago, and he had not fulfilled his portion of the contract, he refunded our money instead of completing the job. Obviously, we would not recommend anyone hire Handyman Hub for their future work. --------- EDIT: In response to the owner's comment. We lost a baby right after we had the work done and then a second baby a few months later, thus this review was written after the work was done and not posted as we had larger issues to deal with. You did try to fix it but you sent a handyman who was intoxicated then your company requested more money to fix the job. As for the claim that my husband spoke to the "owners" - that was what my husband thought based on his conversation. He had a British accent. Additionally, we were only refunded because your company told us we would have to pay for you to fix the poor job your handyman did and we decided not to go further with your company. The original issue was that as soon as we turned the shower on, the grout washed off of the wall! Your worker, Conrad, said the reason it washed off the wall was that the original worker chose the wrong grout. Just finished up with Jimmy from Handyman hub. Let me begin by saying that not only was Jimmy accommodating to my schedule but he was one of the nicest people I've met, hands down. I originally called Handyman hub to fix a leaky shower, secure my dishwasher tub, and do some drywall patchwork. Jimmy came out and gave a very reasonable estimate then came out the following day to do the work , and accommodated my work schedule. Unfortunately Jimmy was unable to fix my shower, but that was totally because of my ancient house and parts aren't readily available. But the dishwasher was fixed and the drywall was done perfectly. The home isn't on the market and the realtor thought is was nice to allow a lockbox on the home to let easy access of service providers fixing up the home since we now live over 100 miles away. Regardless we would have met any service provider to do their work on our home. So I guess you didn't really read my post but continued to justify that we weren't homeowners asking for an estimate. I made an appointment for an estimate on a project I need done. They called and left a voicemail stating the craftsman's current job was extended and he wouldn't be able to make the appointment. I called and scheduled another appointment. Again, they called and cancelled my estimate appointment for the same reason. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1, is because the office did at least communicate that they were cancelling my appointments versus having someone just not show up without notice. We used Handyman Hub for a few projects in our home. They replaced a set of french doors with a sliding door, replaced a kitchen sink faucet and replaced a bathroom tub which included plumbing and tile work. They sent over Joe Gould for the estimate and all the work. He was a great communicator and was fast and efficient with all his work. He had a partner (I cannot remember his name) who handled the plumbing and did a fantastic job. The pricing for what we had done was phenomenal. I don't know about all the craftsmen with this company but I can definitely say Joe and his partner did a fantastic job and I can highly recommend them as individuals. 5 stars for sure! read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Don't trust them to replace a light-bulb. They were hired to complete several medium to large tasks in my home. Bob Cunningham and his flunky assistant Harvey dumped grout down my kitchen sink, which ruined my brand new sink, led to the flooding of my laundry room and basement, thus having to replace the entire drain-line in my home. They also installed my kitchen tile floor improperly, which led to it cracking on the seams of the concrete backer-board. They ended up paying for me to hire another company, which came in and cleaned up their disaster. It took almost a year to finish a job that should've been finished in a couple weeks. I had your craftsman Glenn come out to my house to get me an estimate to do a storm door install and a back door install with a pet door mounted within the back door and he did a wonderful job! It was amazing his attention to detail and the fact that he was not going to leave until the doors were done right! He spent a good hour trying to figure out the new install on the storm door because of changes from the manufacturer and referenced multiple places to make sure it was properly hung. He dealt with a Home Depot debacle and spent an hour of his time swapping out shoddy parts with new ones. He also had to come back due to weather to finish caulking the back door and was kind, courteous, accommodating and made sure that I was available.
