Ryan showed up the next day which was very short notice that I had given him and did his inspection and report. Ryan's inspection report was amazingly detailed with photo's and notes on all of the problems he found during that day on the homes fireplaces. As well he supplied a detailed estimate on the repairs. He took time out to call me and explain what he had found, and explained what would be needed to be repaired. He saved me thousands of dollars that I would have not known about by not having this inspection done. We purchased the home and will be having Home Service Pro come back and do all repair, and get them both up to code and safe operating conditions. Thank you Home Service Pro. Paul D

Outstanding Renovation Experience with Can Do More! I…read morerecently had the pleasure of working with Can Do More Renovations on a home project, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, communicative, and truly committed to delivering high-quality results. After a terrible experience with a previous contracting company, I was understandably nervous--but Can Do More quickly put my mind at ease. A huge shoutout to Kadeem, Russ, Chad, and Lauren and all the subcontracted trades --each of them brought something special to the table. Kadeem was reassuring and supportive right from the start. Russ was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me visualize my ideas in person. Lauren was a joy to work with--organized, responsive, and always on top of the details. Having a dedicated project manager and a schedule (which they actually stuck to!) made the entire process collaborative and stress-free. They listened to my ideas, respected my budget, and made sure the final result exceeded my expectations. Chad, the owner, was always available to answer questions about payments and kept everything transparent and easy to understand. All the subcontracting teams were punctual, respectful, and kept my home as tidy as possible during their work. Thank you all for making my vision a reality! I've already recommended Can Do More to my neighbours and friends, and I'll absolutely be using them again for my next set of priorities--hopefully in 2026.

I am 73 year old handicapped widow. My furnace stopped working when it was -20C outside the day…read morebefore a man was found dead in his furnace room in NE Calgary. I couldn't get any advertised 24/7 emergency repair outfits to answer their phone. It was 1AM and the fire department dismissed my vulnerability telling me to call a plumber when no emergency plumbers were answering their phones. When I finally got a plumber who had worked for me before he came out to try to convince me that I needed a new furnace. He said he would come by in a day or two to fix the limit switch that needed replacing. Left alone in the house without a working furnace, I thought I better get a second opinion. Bowness Plumbing and Heating was recommended as an independent old school company that did good work st reasonable prices. I called Mitch Hurd around 3:30 AM and was surprised he answered the phone himself. I asked him to come to diagnose the problem so that I could submit a request for financial assistance to fix the furnace from Alberta government Senior's Assistance program. What I was really after was a second opinion on the face of the cost of a new furnace. My furnace was mid efficiency only about ten years old. He agreed to come to provide a diagnosis for $350. I felt that would be money well spent in the face of the costs of s new furnace. He came within 40 minutes. I was on the other side of the furnace anxiously telling him to hurry up to not go over the half an hour for $350. He was a pleasant person to chat with. When he was finished I gladly paid $350 in view of the costs of a whole furnace replacement. You probably won't believe what happened next. Mitch Hurd is a man you just can't help but love. I know I do. As he was going out the door he said, "Ella. I already fixed it. I was here anyway. Your furnace is not a dud. A limit switch replacement is common. Don't worry about it now. Your furnace is fixed". VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I will never use another plumber in the years I have left in this life. Calgary, we are very lucky to have him. His company doesn't show up at the top of online searches. Just try to remember Bowness Plumbing and Heating.
