Joe came by the house, took a look, measured and gave me a price. Couple days later he said to bring the boat by his shop and he and his guys fabricated and welded the aluminum section in the pontoon It came out great and we are very happy with the work!

Pulled the rear mudflap off of my motorhome on the pavement while pulling out of a gas station…read more The top metal strip got bent, and the rubber had been pulled through by the connecting bolts. Took the mudflap on Thursday morning to John (owner) and he said they would make two steel pieces and sandwich the flap between the two, and paint and reassemble the flap. He said they could have it ready by tomorrow (Friday), but I said I would pick it up on Saturday instead. We agreed on a price between $75 and $100. He wrote my name and phone number on a clipboard, On Saturday, I returned to the shop, and John didn't recognize me. I stated I was there to pickup the mudflap. I noticed the mudflap hadn't been touched, it was laying on the floor. His reply was that he just got the material yesterday (Friday). I asked him when it would be done, and his reply was Monday. I told him I would be back on Monday around noon. On Monday around noon, I returned to the shop to find that the two steel plates had been made and painted but the mudflap was not mounted on the steel pieces and it was not ready to go. His excuse was that he had decided that the connecting chain and bolts should be stainless steel and that there would be an additional charge for $80 for hardware. I protested, this is a mudflap, I don't care about stainless steel, I want the original hardware because the length is very important for me to reinstall the flap at the proper height. I asked how much longer to get it put together and he said he would have it done in a couple of hours. I returned to the shop at 3:00 pm and found the mudflap done, or at least I thought it was. He apologized for the delay and said he would take $80 instead of the $100. I gave him $80, and explained to him that he could have called me, and he stated that he did't have a phone number for me, I showed him the clipboard that had the number on it. After getting the mudflap home to reinstall, I found that he had removed two of the stainless steel lettering bolts, and two of the existing bolts that he said he had to cutoff had been replaced with a bolt with a shank on it instead of a full thread as required to bolt it back onto the motorhome. Four of the mounting nuts were also missing. The quality of the work was OK, but not rocket science.

Update: I wanted to…read morewrite another review on this business since I have been there twice since my last review in January 2023. At the time of that review, the small garage business was starting to take shape at their new location in Golden Valley. A new and bigger shop with all the tools and even a lift. My first impression was how clean and organized everything was. I had my CanAm in for its yearly service. Keith, the owner completed the service and had recommended a clutch service the next time I had it. This is one of many reasons why I take it to him. He doesn't rack up a bunch of unnecessary charges. He completes what needs to get done and in doing so, sees things that might become a problem down the line. Something else he does is recommend, not pressure, upgrades that will prevent future maintenance issues. Let's face it, we ride these SXS's hard in the desert and CanAm, like all SXS's, have compromised areas that break down sooner than they probably should. October appointment: After having it serviced last year, I reached out to Keith in October 2023 to have the clutch serviced, prior to the riding season. By now, more people had found out how great he was and my days of making a next day appointment were over. He still got my car in relatively quick and performed the preventive clutch work and in true Keith fashion noticed an issue with my wheel bearings. They were dry as a bone. This could have been an expensive fix had it went unnoticed. Whew, another save by Keith. January 2024: My latest appointment was more of my Xmas gift, new PCI radio install and Mwhips install. I was also having an electrical issue with my chase light working intermittently. For those of you that don't know, Keith is a license dealer for MWhips, and Rugged Radio, and other great companies. If you havent seen these whips, you will from miles away. By far the brightest and most durable whip out there right now. Most of my riding buddies have another popular name brand with a magnetic connection and let's just say they have issues with them detaching when going thru narrow spots and they definitely aren't as bright. I got everything installed in only a days time and I couldn't be more happy. Keith also found my electrical issue, a loose bolt that was double stacked on my auxiliary post. An error on my part and a lesson learned. While the panels were off and he was installing the radio, he decided to clean things up and label all my wires. Did I ask for this? No, but is it awesome? Yes. I guarantee you no other shop would just do this for you. Mild 2 Wild is no longer a quick drive for me, but I will pass every SXS shop (I think 4 or more) and take my CanAm to Keith (always!!!!) It's worth my time. Its an honest and fair shop. There are no inflated or unnessary charges. Keith is highly skilled and knowledgeable. He knows SXS's, all makes, not just CanAm. He also stays up to date with the best products on the market like Mwhips. He communicates with you the entire time he is fixing your car, including pictures. Lastly, his prices are fair. I could go on and on.... and even though his business continues to grow, his principals and quality of work remain the same, if not better.

After having been a patron of a quality shop 35 miles distant, I'm glad to finally see a dedicated…read moreshop in Golden Valley, only 5 miles away, for the mechanical service and repairs, metal fabrication and modification for side-by-side (SxS) UTV's. It's not that that's their only focus in off-road motorsports repair and modification; it's just the one that I needed out of their quiver of off-road vehicle services. Keith and Roger made quick work of adjusting one rear wheel's camber, after it had been knocked out of whack on a particularly rough ride. Not only were they fast, but also very informative, and very cost efficient. While they were at it, they made another small modification that has yielded a little more speed from my (moderately modified) '09 RZR 800. It certainly doesn't hurt that they're very expressive and gregarious. I will be happy to bring my buggy to them again, when it's in need.
