Top Tier Appliances - replacement range

Top Tier Appliances

I don't typically write reviews, but my experience with Top Tier has been nothing short of…read moredisappointing. A few weeks ago, my fridge broke, and my property management called Top Tier for the repair. The technician initially came out quickly, was kind, and performed a repair, mentioning he would need to return the following week. He assured me the fridge would function properly until then--but that's where things started to go downhill. By Thursday, my fridge stopped cooling altogether. I called Top Tier and was given an appointment for Monday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The time came and went with no technician. When I called again, I was told they could send someone on Tuesday. The technician arrived early, which was great, and did another repair--but once again, the fix didn't last. After returning from a weekend trip, I found the fridge wasn't cooling again. I called Top Tier first thing Tuesday morning and left a voicemail, followed by another voicemail around lunch and another at the end of the day. No callback. I called again Wednesday morning to ensure they received my messages. I was transferred to Steven, who told me he was checking parts and would update me in 30 minutes. I never received a call back. I left yet another voicemail and called twice on Thursday asking for confirmation that a technician would be coming on Friday. Now, here we are on Sunday, and my fridge is still broken, causing me to throw away yet another bag of spoiled groceries. I understand that, as a renter, Top Tier may need to coordinate with my property manager, but the lack of communication is unacceptable. If that's the issue, I should have been informed, so I wouldn't be left in the dark. I get that parts and scheduling can be a challenge, but the real issue here is the complete lack of communication. If Top Tier had prioritized my situation, I could have avoided losing multiple rounds of groceries and had a working fridge by now. At this point, I'm left hoping that someone will eventually return my call to fix it--or that they will consider replacing it. I've worked in both dispatching and parts management, so I understand the logistics. This experience has been frustrating, and I hope Top Tier takes this feedback seriously to improve their customer service moving forward.

KUDOS TO MR. CHRISTOPHER JOURNET AT C & I APPLIANCE REPAIR INC. (863.999.1044) -- not just…read morecompetent and courteous, but also honest and very helpful in solving our refrigerator problem! Here's why. ~ Our refrigerator didn't seem to function properly, so we went online for a recommended refrigerator repair person. ~ Chris was highly recommended by several respondents -- with no negative comments. ~ So, we called Chris on Saturday, expecting only to leave a message for him to come to our home on Monday. ~ SIGNIFICANTLY, Instead, despite it being the weekend, Chris answered the phone right away. He offered to come to our home on Sunday, the next day! ~ Upon arriving at our home and assessing our refrigerator, he said he could repair it, but, before doing any repair work, HE RECOMMENDED THAT WE BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR. ~ Why? Because he said that (1) our refrigerator repair would be expensive, (2) would likely not be a long-lasting repair due to the nature of the problem, and (3) he didn't have the specialty part in stock, but he could recommend another, larger (and more expensive!) company which did have the specialty part in stock. ~ So, instead of repair, we decided to follow Chris's recommendation and buy a new refrigerator that same day. ~ SIGNIFICANTLY, Chris recommended several refrigerator brand names with minimal repair problems (and mentioned other brands to potentially avoid due to more frequent repairs). He also advised purchasing an extended warranty for repair. ~ MORE SIGNIFICANTLY, he said that, when we go to Lowe's, we could call him with the brand, model, and serial number to see if the refrigerator that we chose was one that he would recommend. ~ So, after online research, we went to Lowe's in Lake Wales, selected the refrigerator that we wanted, and texted the model info to Chris. ~ SIGNIFICANTLY, within minutes, Chris texted back saying that the model we wanted would be a good buy, as far as repair quality goes. ~ Hooray! ~ And Hooray For Chris's help!
