We met with Abe and discussed the various choices for fences and received our estimate. We were…read moreimpressed by the fact that the steel posts are set deeper into the ground and we could choose pre-stained boards to be installed. We decided to proceed and were added to the schedule. The old fence was removed, and new posts were set in anticipation for the boards to be installed after the concrete was set and dried. Our fence was installed in May, 2017 and it is still standing straight! We love our fence! We did have a problem with one of our side gate doors that was warping a few months after installation. This gate door is right off the driveway and used frequently to access our trash and recycling. We contacted Abe and after meeting, it was decided that we would need to add a metal door frame to keep it straight. We paid to add the metal frame in September, 2017 and haven't had any other issues with this gate door. The work crew was very efficient and professional and got the entire board on board fence completed in two days! We're so happy we chose the pre-stained boards. We decided to add the slanted horizontal pieces that deter anyone climbing on the fence. They did have to stain that after it was installed. Everything still looks great 4 years later!

I texted him the next day and called the office number to which I got a message that call wouldn't go through. He still hasn't responded. Boards randomly tacked up horizontally across the bottom all the way around. I wouldn't have accepted it personally as a job I paid my hard money for but I wanted to give the original builders the opportunity to put in a gate to replace one they originally built as, well, the gate worked and that is all I am looking for now, a new functional gate. They don't want your business apparently. The sign they hang on the fencing is for decoration I guess, because they refuse to answer or contact back, guess they have too much money. Reached out to Don about fixing. Was told he would get by in a few days to take a look. That turned into weeks. Then it turned into months. Then it turned into never hearing from him. Fast forward to May 24, 2023 and Don is re-staining my buddies fence who lives directly behind me. I reach out again bc the pickets still haven't been fixed by me or anyone else. He tells me he'll come by Friday the 26th and take a look. No idea if he ever came by or not as I never heard from him until he finally responded on June 1 where I was told, "Just busy. I'll get price hail storms got me so busy". June 21 I reach out again bc I haven't seen him nor heard from him and I'm told, "Sorry I'm so busy I can't see str8. Everyone is on the list". Do you think I've heard from him since? Makes no sense to me. There is no customer service. There is no communication. If you're considering doing business with him, I would suggest going with someone else and not wasting your time like I did. From responsiveness, work ethic and impeccable service, Hancock should be your first and only call, when needing fence work! I initially reached out to Hancock via Yelp, of course ‍ Tyler immediately responded and didn't waste any time answering all of my concerns. The next day he came out to walk/measure our fence and give me some bid options to replace both sides of two alleys, front of our house sections, one new gate (we were eliminating the backyard gate), remove a section along our driveway and add an auto-gate. Our neighbor had already replaced our shared section of fencing. Their bids do not include staining, but the company they recommend, Ultimate Wood Care, is equally as awesome and reasonably priced. Since we were upgrading to 8' board on board w an auto-gate, I knew it was going to be expensive. Our property sits on a half acre and our driveway is 30' wide. So we probably have double linear feet and width of driveway. But it is true what we all say, "you get what you pay for." Yes, it was expensive, but this fence isn't going anywhere, the fence is built w steal fence posts, cedar pickets, the front gate is framed w steal and the auto-gate is the icing on the cake! Additionally, if you spend big bucks on their premier fencing, you'll get a 10 yr warranty! This warranty has been incredible. We had a couple of boards crack and I simply notify Tyler w photo of picket, he sends his guys out the very next day and they not only replace it with a new picket, they stain it to match the color of our existing stain! Next, Tyler gave me their bid, I approved, he got necessary city permits and the guys were out and demoing our fence the very next Monday morning at 9am! Tyler's guys are punctual, respectful, hard working, do a hell of a job removing/replacing fencing as well as installing auto-gates and very dependable. Having worked in the construction business, as Operations Manager for 17 yrs in Austin, I am super picky and very vocal regarding punctuality, dependability, cleanliness on job site and completing work in a timely manner. Hancock fencing is above and beyond my "high bar" expectations. The guys showed up on time every morning, left our property immaculate at the end of each day, worked a full hard days work and completed our fence in a 5 day work week!
