The Manager is called Ian, he is a local guy that's extremely well known in Shawlands, he's been cutting hair for many years. Yet, I have heard very good things about this place on the man side of things. Yes, I'll attempt to do a Barbers review based on things that I have heard from some of the males in my life. Please, cut me some slack here - this was not the easiest thing to do: "Oh you went there - what was it like?" "Good" "What'd you mean?" "That it was good" "Yes, but why??" "You know..." etc etc After some very direct questions I could fathom that this place is good because of the following: 1) You don't need an appointment. 2) You get a good, decent hair cut. 3) Said hair cut is done very quickly, but also to a high standard. 4) The prices are very reasonable and much as any other Barbers. 5) The staff are very friendly and chatty (and potentially flirty - though, this was coming from an egotistical male friend and the other two men did not mention anything along these lines at all). To which he never turned up when I called his…read moreother shop to find out what was happening I got told he's no longer taking bookings and I should chance me arm and go to his shop.. when I said I was at his other shop and it was closed I was told they can't help me and hung up... Now I put a message on social media expressing my frustration of the service I'd been given, to which I'm entitled! I've just received an utterly abusive call from him (the owner) to which he ended the conversation "I HOPE YOUR KIDNEY FUCKING FAILS". (IM A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT PATIENT) Now if I'd received a call telling me he couldn't keep our appointment, or if the shop staff had been professional in their dealings with me, there wouldn't have been an issue I think this is shocking behaviour from a business owner and poor customer service from the owner and staff.. I was a regular customer and I know it doesn't mean much but always paid a minimum of £10 extra for what WAS a good service. Obviously doesn't need the clients or respect the ones he does have.
