Once again, The Diamond Factory came through and made my dreams come true!…read more A little background: my grandma, who meant a great deal to me, passed away last winter. Since then I had been wanting to get a nice piece of jewelry with a ruby (her birthstone) in her memory but hadn't quite found the right piece yet. On New Year's Eve I spent the night at my mom's and slept in my grandma's old room. Plugging in my phone charger under her bed I found a box of some of her belongings, including her wedding ring: a simple, gold band. I had the idea to use the band as the base for a new ring, maybe just adding a simple ruby to it. I asked my mom if she would be ok with that and not only was she ok with it she said she might have just the thing and she pulled out a box of old jewelry my grandma brought from Poland, including the most gorgeous ruby ring with diamonds. The band on that one was fairly thin and together we decided that it would be amazing to take that setting and put it on the wedding band. We also found another, smaller ruby ring that we decided to give to my cousin, her only other grandchild, for her 15 birthday this week. It needed some TLC (cleaning up and straightening the band). I immediately knew that the only ones I would trust with these heirlooms would be The Diamond Factory. The next day I went in and told them the story of finding the rings and what we had hoped we could get done. They said it was no problem at all and took my measurements to fit the new ringer properly. A week later (today) I got a text saying the order was ready and I raced to the store right after work to pick them up. I got so emotional when they showed me the finished piece. It was PERFECT. The combining of the two rings is gorgeous and they cleaned it up so beautifully. Photos don't do the sparkle any justice! It's such a special piece that will now be so dear to our family. They also did an amazing job with the ring for my cousin. The delicate, smaller ring is the perfect heirloom to pass on to a teen girl as her first piece of fine jewelry and they made it look like new. I can't wait to give it to her. Thank you for helping us honor my grandma (and grandpa since it was their wedding band!) in such a special way, Diamond Factory! The thoughtfulness and care you put into creating this piece means the world to me and my family.

Today I visited The Diamond Factory of Ann Arbor inside of Briarwood Mall. The store had a sign…read moreoutside claiming "WE BUY GOLD & Diamonds Highest Price Paid Guaranteed" which led me to believe that I would be presented with a fair and reasonable offer for my 2+ gram, 14K white gold engagement ring with two small side diamonds. A 2 gram 14K white gold melt value is $99. The spot price of gold is currently $2,633.53/ounce as of 12/7/24. The manager (supposedly named Victor) and his sales associate (Rafi) offered me only $56 for the ring, despite me already having a prior offer for $250. Victor (real name apparently Vicken Tufenkjian according to public state filings) even claimed that the store didn't have an owner when confronted about his false and misleading sign. Victor also refused to tell me his full name when I told him that I was going to file a complaint. At one point he even tried to falsely claim that my ring wasn't actually gold. To make matters worse, when I returned to the store and explained to Victor that other jewelers inside of Briarwood quoted my ring at around $400, he called the mall police to try to intimidate me instead of addressing my concerns professionally. Five allied security guards along with an Ann Arbor police officer were unnecessarily called on me. I left the store and immediately filed a complaint with the FTC. This experience was extremely frustrating, inconvenient, and disturbing. Please steer clear of this store and go somewhere where you will be treated fairly. PS: if you have bought any jewelry at this store in the past I would strongly suggest that you have it checked for authenticity by another jeweler.

I had been to a few other jewelers in A2, but the Abra crew were the only ones who didn't try to shame me into buying a newer, larger stone! I was nervous about the full custom design process, as all I had were some examples of details I thought would look nice and some vague memories of what my now-fiancée showed me on Pinterest. However, Amanda was wonderful to work with on the design and did a very good job at turning my ideas into a detailed sketch. Natalie did an equally amazing job at manufacturing the actual ring--the final product turned out beautifully and showcases my Gigi's stone perfectly. Neither my fiancée nor I can resist staring at the ring for long periods of time :) They also were more than willing to make sure that the ring was kept a secret! They were very competitive on price. Even with the fully custom design, we were able to make design changes within my budget. Better still, they only use conflict-free stones when buying new and they have hypoallergenic alloys available. Even if my fiancée and I move away from the A2 area, we will be back to get a matching wedding band when the time arises. Highly, highly recommend.

Was browsing the earring section with a few friends. Decided to go look at something else, so I put the earrings back. When I returned to the earring section, where my friends were still standing, I was approached by an employee. She asked me if I had left the earrings over on the other side, where I had just returned from. Confused, I said I hadn't. She continued prodding me about the earrings (are you sure you didn't put them down, where are they, etc...) I then realized she was accusing me of stealing them. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, she asked me to show her the exact place that I had set down the earrings (wtf) which I was able to do. She then walked away without even an apology. It goes without saying that accusing customers of stealing when you obviously have no idea what you are talking about is not only disrespectful, embarrassing (given that the store was incredibly crowded at the time), but extremely unprofessional. Sad to say I will not be returning to Verbena....clothes are cute...and employees usually professional and respectful.

They said I would be able to come back and return the dress if needed as long as I had a receipt, however they did not put a receipt in my bag. Then when I came back to return the dress I was blamed for their mistakes and told I could only return the item for a gift card. Additionally the worker was extremely hostile and did not know how to work her own cash register and had to call for help multiple times. After issuing the gift card they told me that I would not be able to use the gift card because "their machine was down," essentially stealing $65 from me. Despite saying that they would reach out to me about the issue they never did and I had to call multiple times to resolve this issue. On the phone the worker called me rude (I don't know how trying to get a refund is considered "rude") and was extremely unhelpful. Finally they agreed to exchange the gift card for a different item (after 2 phone calls and 4 in store visits, I don't know why they couldn't have done this in the first place) This fiasco wasted me hours of time. Do yourself a favor and order a dress from somewhere else or head to a mall or basically anything but go to this store. If you must purchase something avoid interaction with Mary. She is completely clueless and obviously was not trained properly. Edit: The store owner called me a day after to guilt trip me, offer various excuses, and when that didn't work blatantly told me to the take review down and tried to bribe me. Unfortunately I will not be bribed.
