I was visiting family in Connecticut and had tweaked my back pretty badly. I booked with Sammi Therapeutic Massage hoping for some relief and was fully prepared to pay top dollar without expecting much beyond temporary comfort. What I got was completely different. This was not just a massage -- this was actual healing work. She took the time to understand where my pain was, explained what she was doing (because I asked), and truly got in there and worked through the problem. The pain I came in with? Gone. If I had more time in CT, I would've gone back again just to continue the work and honestly get better sleep. She clearly knows the body and her craft. It's a private, by-appointment setup with a single table, and every second of it was worth it. From the comfortable setup to how she incorporated hot stones and intuitively read exactly what my body needed -- it felt intentional and effective. I'm genuinely so glad I didn't end up at another "typical" therapeutic spot that just goes through the motions. I'm sure there are other good places out there, but I don't see myself trying them anytime soon -- I feel like I found my person. If you're looking for a massage that actually fixes your knots and pain (not just temporarily relaxes you), this is your spot. I'd honestly consider flying back once a month for this.

I went in for one massage and walked out an hour later feeling noticeably more comfortable. The following day, I was able to move around so much better. When I first saw her, I still had two drains in and felt very vulnerable, but she was incredibly professional, gentle, and reassuring. Her practice is clean, comfortable, and calming. She wore gloves to ensure my incisions were protected from any potential risk, which made me feel even more at ease. After that first session, I immediately booked the series of five. I went twice a week for two weeks, then once during the final week. After not seeing her for about a week and a half, I reached out again and invested in five more sessions. The massages are absolutely worth it. I feel more comfortable, less swollen, and I can truly see the progress in my body. I would highly recommend Melissa to anyone going through the post-op recovery process. She has been an incredibly important part of my healing. My surgeon didn't think the massages were all that important at first and even talked me out of them, but I genuinely believe some surgeons don't realize how much of a difference they make. I've searches far and wide for a good massage therapist to ease down the knots that make me the hunch back of New England with no avail until I found Bonnie. Bonnie makes you feel comfortable and at ease from the moment you enter her business until the moment you step out of it. She doesn't just massage your back, she searches for the root cause of your pain and works on it. Then she gives you a debrief of her findings and what you need to do to improve the pain. It's not a massage for her, it's a mission of well being; she truly cares about her customers. Hands down the best massage I've ever gotten! Bonnie also takes care of you while your in her hands. She makes sure her massage table is comfy, and she always keeps you warm with fuzzy blankets. Oh! And It's always clean. Did I mention, clean? Sorry, I've found myself in one or two places that were nightmarishly dirty. If you're in search for a massage therapist, look no further! Go to her!

Finally found a legit massage place near me! Anna was my massage therapist today and she was very…read moreskilled! Made sure the strength was suited to my liking and she was very thorough. I am a nurse and I suffer from achy joints from walking all day and bad body mechanics lifting patients. I feel so much better after today's massage and I made sure to tip her well, well-deserved! I was reading some of the bad comments saying that they were touched "inappropriately" cause their ass cheeks were massaged. Come on, grow up???Those are your glutes muscles and a lot of back pain stems from your glutes and if you didn't want it I'm sure you could have told your massage therapist and they will be more than happy to massage you less. I'm a satisfied customer and will definitely return!!!

I put myself on the waitlist and they squeezed me in the next day. I asked for a deep tissue massage when I stepped into their treatment room, which I'm often met with a yikes, you sure? Except, Kathie went above and beyond to erase my pain. The adhesion pops she got out of my back and shoulders must've been just as satisfying for her as it was for me, but I don't know how she was able to find each little knot like that. I couldn't have asked for a better experience in all of the times I've gone to any clinic. I'm not big on fancy appearances and the glamor of an elite spa. Instead, I prefer businesses to invest in their people and clients. It was clean and comfortable to me. Anyway, Kathie seemed to have an immediate understanding of my condition without me having to get into it. I appreciated that more than I probably expressed. The atmosphere was relaxed as soon as I walked in. I also got an extra treat on my way out the door that I found surprisingly soothing. These people truly care. Thank you, I am grateful. I selected the 90 minute deep tissue massage with Brenda. It was relaxing and soothed my aches/muscle pains. The room was relaxing. While the outside of the spa is not your typical aesthetic, I was very pleased with the spa room and service. Price was reasonable and they offer membership pricing as well. I will surely be back!
